BEIRUT, (PIC)

Four people were killed on Sunday night in an Israeli drone strike targeting a vehicle along the Lebanese-Syrian border in eastern Lebanon, Lebanon’s official National News Agency (NNA) reported.

The sound of powerful explosions was heard in nearby villages close to the targeted location, NNA said, adding that civil defense teams managed to extinguish the fire inside the vehicle and recover the four bodies.

A ceasefire agreement between Hezbollah and Israel has been in effect since Nov. 27, 2024. Despite the agreement, Israel has continued to carry out occasional strikes in Lebanon, claiming they are aimed at eliminating Hezbollah threats

The Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) reported that Mu'hammed Qashaqish was martyred when an Israeli drone targeted him as he was in front of his home in the border town of 'Haneen, in the Bint Jubail district.”

It noted that civil defense teams extinguished the flames and transferred the body to the hospital in Bint Jubail.

Palestinian Health Ministry: More than 20,000 patients and wounded await travel for treatment

Sunday 15-February-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has confirmed that more than 20,000 patients and wounded are waiting to travel for medical treatment, stressing that the partial operation of the Rafa'h crossing does not meet the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry expressed deep concern and dismay over the continued closure and restricted partial operation of the Rafa'h border crossing, amid the worsening catastrophic health and humanitarian conditions faced by the Palestinian people in Gaza.

It noted that among the patients are critical cases, including cancer, heart disease, and kidney failure patients, and severe injuries requiring advanced surgical interventions that are unavailable in the Strip due to the blockade and repeated targeting of the health system.

The ministry said that although the Rafa'h crossing was announced as partially operational on February 2, 2026, the number of people allowed to travel so far remains extremely limited and does not correspond at all to the scale of the escalating health tragedy.

It emphasized that partial operation is insufficient and does not meet even the minimum humanitarian obligations owed to patients and the wounded.

The ministry reported receiving painful testimonies from patients and wounded who traveled abroad for treatment, describing unjustified restrictions and complications that reflect a systematic policy increasing their psychological and physical suffering, and doubling the burdens they face under extremely complex health and humanitarian conditions.

It warned that continuing with this restricted mechanism at Rafa'h, which limits traveler numbers and slows medical evacuation procedures, poses a direct threat to the lives of thousands of patients, dangerously worsens humanitarian and health conditions, and places the international community before its legal and moral responsibilities.

The ministry called for Rafa'h crossing to be opened permanently and regularly, ensuring freedom of movement for patients and wounded without restrictions or delays.

It also demanded urgent and immediate evacuation of patients and wounded in critical condition, and an increase in the number of travelers to match the accumulated medical needs.

The ministry urged international and humanitarian organizations to intervene immediately to pressure for guaranteeing patients’ right to treatment and travel, as a fundamental human right enshrined in international laws and conventions.

It concluded by stressing that patients’ lives are not numbers to be postponed, and that continued obstruction of their travel threatens further loss of life, requiring urgent and responsible action to end this escalating suffering.

Doctors Without Borders (MSF): No aid has entered Gaza this year despite ceasefire

Monday 16-February-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) said on Monday that it has been unable to deliver any humanitarian aid or medical supplies into Gaza since the beginning of the year due to Israeli restrictions, despite the ceasefire that remains formally in place.

Christopher Lockyear, the MSF secretary general, said in press remarks that the “catastrophic” humanitarian situation continues across both Gaza and the West Bank.

“The humanitarian needs are enormous,” Lockyear said, adding that what is required is not a reduction in the humanitarian response but a significant expansion of it.

He noted that harsh winter conditions have worsened chronic health problems among Palestinians in Gaza.

He also warned of a rise in infectious diseases, as more than 18,000 people await medical evacuation, including 4,000 children. According to Lockyear, deteriorating shelter conditions during the winter season have further compounded the already critical health crisis throughout the enclave.

“Despite the ceasefire agreement, people are still being killed in Gaza,” he said. “The purpose of the agreement was to allow more humanitarian aid to enter.”

Israel began what Palestinian officials and rights groups describe as a genocide in Gaza on October 7, 2023, with US backing.

The assault lasted two years, leaving more than 72,000 Palestinians killed and over 171,000 wounded, most of them women and children, and destroying 90 percent of the enclave’s civilian infrastructure.

A ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025. However, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry, Israeli occupation forces have committed hundreds of violations since then, including airstrikes and live fire incidents, resulting in more than 600 additional deaths and 1,607 injuries.

Despite the formal halt to the genocide, humanitarian conditions have not seen meaningful improvement.

Palestinian officials say Israeli authorities have failed to meet their commitments under the agreement, including ending military operations, reopening crossings, and allowing the agreed quantities of food, medical aid, relief supplies, tents and mobile homes into Gaza.

PPS: 88 Palestinian prisoners martyred during Israeli genocide, rights groups say

Monday 16-February-2026

RAMALLAH, (PIC)

At least 88 Palestinian prisoners whose identities are known have been martyred in Israeli custody since the start of the genocide in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS).

In a statement issued Sunday, the group said that 52 of the confirmed martyrs are from Gaza. The latest victim was identified as Hatem Rayyan, a detained ambulance officer from Gaza, whose martyrdom was recently announced.

The PPS said the prisoners died as a result of torture, starvation, medical neglect, systematic sexual assaults, and other forms of abuse, humiliation and deprivation. It described detention conditions as degrading and in violation of basic human dignity.

The rights group added that several detainees from Gaza remain forcibly disappeared, while dozens of others were subjected to field executions.

It said that images of prisoners’ bodies and remains returned after the ceasefire provided “conclusive evidence” of systematic extrajudicial executions carried out by Israeli occupation forces against detainees outside any legal framework.

According to the statement, this marks the deadliest phase in the history of the Palestinian prisoners’ movement. Since 1967, the total number of known Palestinian prisoners who have died in Israeli custody has now risen to 325.

In a related development, the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society announced that Israeli authorities have renewed administrative detention orders for 51 Palestinian prisoners, including journalist Bushra El-Taweel from El-Beereh.

The two institutions said the orders include both new and renewed administrative detention terms, issued under the pretext of a “secret file.”

They accused Israeli authorities of escalating the use of administrative detention, a policy that allows prisoners to be held without charge or trial for renewable periods.

Administrative detention has long drawn criticism from Palestinian rights groups, who say it is used extensively against activists, journalists and political figures without due process.

The latest figures come amid mounting allegations by Palestinian organizations that the treatment of detainees has sharply deteriorated during the genocide, with widespread reports of torture, medical neglect and incommunicado detention.

The Ministry added that the total number of the wounded also surged to 171,726 people.

In its daily report, the Health Ministry said that hospitals received two civilian bodies, and 11 wounded people over the past 24 hours.

Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, at least 603 Palestinians have been killed, and 1,618 others have been injured.

Palestinian killed by Israeli gunfire in Gaza City

Monday 16-February-2026

GAZA, (PIC)

A Palestinian citizen was martyred on Monday morning in an Israeli attack in Gaza City’s El-Shuja’iya neighborhood, amid ongoing ceasefire violations in different areas.

A medical source said that a citizen was killed by Israeli gunfire in El-Shuja’iya.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces carried out artillery shelling and opened gunfire in various areas of the Gaza Strip.

According to local sources, Israeli occupation forces shelled areas east of Khan Younus and Rafa'h in southern Gaza.

Israeli gunboats also opened machinegun fire towards the coastal waters of Gaza City, whose eastern outskirts were simultaneously subjected to artillery shelling.

Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed about 618 Palestinians, including 194 children and 84 women, and injured 1,602 others.

Child killed in Tammoun by PA forces gunfire; families of detainees hold PA leadership responsible

Sunday 15-February-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Committee of Families of Political Detainees issued a statement condemning what it described as a serious crime committed by Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces in the town of Tammoun, south of Toubas.

The incident resulted in the killing of a child, Yazan Samara, the son of Sameer Samara, who is wanted by the Israeli occupation forces, and the serious injury of his young sister, who was shot in the head when their vehicle was directly targeted.

In its statement released Sunday, the committee said the incident reflects a systematic policy of pursuing individuals wanted by Israeli forces, even at the cost of Palestinian lives, in what it described as an effort to maintain security coordination amid escalating attacks by Israeli forces and settlers across the occupied West Bank.

The committee stated that the continuation of such security practices represents a dangerous deviation from national priorities, placing security forces in confrontation with their own people rather than protecting them.

It held all parties who issued orders, carried out, or provided political cover for the incident fully responsible, adding that attempts to justify the shooting as a routine security measure do not change the fact that Palestinian blood was shed as a result of a decision to pursue an individual wanted by Israel.

The committee called for an immediate halt to the policy of pursuing such individuals and demanded the release of political detainees held over resistance activities, political affiliation, or freedom of expression.

It concluded by stressing that “the blood of our people is not expendable, and it is unacceptable for policies to continue targeting those resisting occupation while leaving the occupation and its settlers unchallenged.”

Separately, the Hamas Movement described the incident as a new “black mark” on the record of the PA security forces, accusing them of turning against their own people instead of ensuring their protection.

In a statement, Hamas said the killing of the child and the critical injury of his sister following direct gunfire at their vehicle highlight the dangerous consequences of repressive policies, particularly at a time when Palestinians in the West Bank face intensified attacks by Israeli forces and settlers.

The Movement warned of the potential impact of such actions on Palestinian social cohesion and held the PA leadership fully responsible for the consequences.

Hamas also called for accountability for those involved, the immediate release of all political detainees, and an end to the pursuit of Palestinians. It further urged efforts to strengthen national unity and consolidate internal ranks in confronting ongoing challenges.

Dozens of Palestinians kidnaped by IOF in W. Bank and El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem)

Monday 16-February-2026

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped dozens of Palestinian citizens during raids in the West Bank and El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) last night and at dawn Monday.

Local sources reported that a large number of Israeli troops stormed Nablus City and nearby villages, with reinforcements arriving from the El-Tour and Bait Foureek checkpoints.

The IOF arrest campaign in Nablus targeted about 40 citizens, including national and notable figures, as well as women. Most of them were kidnaped from their homes in Nablus City.

In Tulkarem, the IOF carried out raids in the city’s Shuwaika suburb and the town of Dair El-Ghusoon and kidnaped one citizen from his home.

In al-Khalil, Israeli forces kidnaped three citizens from the city and another one from Sa’ir town.

In El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), Israeli police forces stormed Qalandya refugee camp and the town of Kafr I'qab, where they carried out a wide campaign of raids and searches that targeted several homes. The operation reportedly included arrests among citizens.

The IOF also stormed other areas of El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) and the West Bank, with no reported kidnappings.

Dozens of the illegal Israeli settlers defile Al-Aqsa Mosque under police guard

Monday 16-February-2026

El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Hordes of the illegal Israeli settlers escorted by police officers desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards on Monday morning and later in the afternoon, amid tight restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to the holy site.

According to local sources, at least 337 of the illegal Israeli settlers entered the Mosque in different groups through its Maghariba Gate and toured its courtyards.

During their tours at the Islamic holy site, the settlers received lectures from rabbis about the alleged temple mount and a number of them provocatively performed Talmudic prayers.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation apartheid regime police imposed movement and entry restrictions on Muslim worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque’s entrances and gates and prevented many of them from entering the holy site.

The Israeli occupation regime police have recently escalated restrictions on Muslims ahead of the holy month of Ramadhan, issuing orders that have banned dozens of Palestinians from El-Quds (Jerusalem) and 1948 occupied Palestine from entering the Aqsa Mosque.

In a related incident, two Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) Palestinian citizens, including a journalist, received orders from the Israeli police today, banning their entry to the Aqsa Mosque for six months.

El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Governorate reported that the Israeli police ordered the Maqdisi (Jerusalemite) journalist Mu'hammed El-Sadiq and a young man from the holy city to stay away from Al-Aqsa Mosque for a period of six months each.

An Al-Aqsa Mosque guard was also handed a similar order today, prohibiting his entry to the Islamic holy site for six months.

For first time since 1967, Israel moves to expand its illegal settlements in  El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), beyond “Green Line”

Monday 16-February-2026

El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Hebrew news reports have revealed that the Israeli government continues to take measures aimed at reinforcing its sovereignty over El-Quds (occupied Jerusalem). These steps have effectively erased the boundaries of the Green Line, which is an artificial line that separates the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948, where the Jewish state was established, from those occupied in 1967.

According to the news site Ynet, affiliated with the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, a new settlement plan is being advanced in the illegal Adam settlement (also known as Geva Binyamin), located north of Jerusalem and south of Ramallah in the central West Bank.

While this plan is officially presented as an expansion of the Adam settlement itself, in fact, it would extend Jerusalem’s municipal boundaries beyond their pre-1967 limits. This expansion would mark the first time since the Six-Day War that Jerusalem’s territory is formally enlarged past those borders.

In essence, the settlement plan is not merely about enlarging Adam but about reshaping the geography of Jerusalem itself. By pushing its boundaries outward, the Israeli government is working on entrenching its control more deeply within the occupied Palestinian territories.

Ynet noted that the plan includes the construction of hundreds of settlement units for the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community on a tract of land located at a distance from the Adam illegal Israeli settlement, adding that the construction in the designated area would create geographic continuity within Jerusalem and effectively expand the Neve Yaakov settlement.

The British Museum removes the name “Palestine” from its maps following pressure from pro-Israel groups

Sunday 15-February-2026

LONDON, (PIC)

The British newspaper The Telegraph has reported that the British Museum in London has decided to remove the name “Palestine” from its ancient Middle East galleries, following complaints and pressure from pro-Israel organizations.

According to the report published on Sunday, the decision came in response to correspondence from the group UK Lawyers for Israel, which objected to the use of the term “Palestine” to describe historical regions along the eastern Mediterranean coast within the museum’s exhibits.

Some maps and display panels related to ancient Egypt and the Phoenicians had previously labeled the region as “Palestine,” and in certain cases, described some populations as being of “Palestinian origin.” In a letter addressed to museum director Nicholas Cullinan, the group argued that applying the term retroactively across the region over thousands of years erases historical changes and creates a misleading impression of continuity.

According to the newspaper, the British Museum concluded that the term “Palestine” does not carry an “appropriate meaning as a historical geographical term” in this context and decided to remove it from certain explanatory materials.

The changes also affected the description of the Hyksos, who originated in the Nile Delta between 1700 and 1500 BCE, where the phrase “of Palestinian origin” was replaced with “of Canaanite origin.”

The newspaper noted that the decision was also influenced by visitor feedback and surveys, in addition to concerns raised by the UK-based advocacy group.

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
