While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

By Al-Mayadeen English Source: Agencies

September 28, 2024, 11:29 am

In the latest wave of attacks, the occupation conducts a series of raids targeting Baalbek and its surrounding areas, as well as the vicinity of Hirmil, according to reports from Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in northern Biqaa'.

Smoke rises from Israeli airstrikes in the southern village of Sujoud, seen from Mari'youn, south Lebanon, on September 25, 2024 (AP)

The Israeli occupation escalates its widespread aggression against Lebanon, launching targeted attacks on multiple regions and villages in the Biqaa' Valley, the South, and Mount Lebanon, following a night of intense shelling that reverberated through the Southern Suburb of Beirut.

In the latest wave of attacks, the occupation conducted a series of raids targeting Baalbek and its surrounding areas, as well as the vicinity of Hirmil, according to reports from Al Mayadeen's correspondent in northern Biqaa'.

Israeli raids also targeted Al-Bazzaliyah, Shat, Shumistar, and Tarayya in the Ba'albek District.

Lebanon's National News Agency reports that the occupation conducted violent raids in central Biqaa', specifically targeting the towns of Rayaq, Karaq Plain, and the heights between Qaml Al-Tuwaiti and Hazrata, along with an Israeli incursion into the al-Wadi neighborhood within the city of Baalbek.

Continuous raids on the south

In the South, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent reported an Israeli raid targeting the towns of Tayr Debba, Tyre.

Israeli raids also struck the towns of 'Habboush, Kfar Tibneet, Zawtar Al-Sharqiya, Dair Al-Zahrani, and Al-Kfour in the Nabatiya district.

From midnight until the early morning hours, the occupation conducted strikes on the villages of Ma'rakah, Dab'al, Zibqeen, 'Haris, Bar'asheet, Al-Shabree'ha, Al-Masakin, Burj Al-Shamali, 'Ain Ba'al, Al-Sama'iya, Zawtar, Al-Bazouriyya, and 'Habboush.

In Mount Lebanon, an airstrike targeted the heights of Bhamdoun, while another airstrike targeted the outskirts of Faqra near Jubail, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.

Lebanon orders hospital evacuations in Southern Suburb of Beirut

By Al-Mayadeen English

September 28, 024, 10:10 am

The evacuation comes after unprecedented Israeli airstrikes overnight, marking the most intense bombardment since the 2006 July War..

Lebanon's Health Ministry announced plans on Saturday to evacuate hospitals in southern Beirut as Israeli airstrikes intensify in the area.

In a statement, the ministry urged hospitals in Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and other unaffected regions to suspend non-urgent cases until the end of the week in order to accommodate patients from the southern suburbs.

The move signals grave concerns that "Israel" may target hospitals in Lebanon, following its documented violations of international law in Gaza where medical facilities have recurrently been bombed. This fear is compounded by the recent escalation of airstrikes in southern Beirut, raising alarms about the safety of civilian infrastructure and medical institutions.

On Saturday morning, Al-Mayadeen's cameras captured extensive footage of the destruction to residential buildings and infrastructure in Beirut's southern suburbs, following a series of brutal Israeli airstrikes.

The Israeli military renewed a series of intense airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs overnight, destroying residential buildings and igniting widespread fires, according to Al-Mayadeen's correspondent.

Israeli warplanes carried out more than 30 airstrikes overnight Friday, targeting buildings in the areas of Burj Al-Barajna, Kafaat, Choueifat, 'Hadath, Al-Laylaki, and Muraija. Additionally, the airstrikes hit a house in the Jamous area of the southern suburbs of Beirut, according to our correspondent.

The Israeli airstrikes caused fires and massive destruction in several sites and buildings in the southern suburbs, leading to a wave of forcible displacement.

Al-Mayadeen's correspondent also reported that the Israeli bombardment created what resembled "fire belts" in parts of the southern suburbs.   Furthermore, a fire broke out as a result of a strike on a fuel station in the Cocodi area, as reported by our correspondent.

Despite the extensive Israeli attacks on the Lebanese capital, air traffic at Beirut Airport continued uninterrupted.

'Hizbullah rejected the claims of storing weapons among civilians

It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation's spokesperson had made an announcement that airstrikes would target Beirut's suburbs, condemning residents to forced displacement. Additionally, the targeted region continues to house thousands of Lebanese people as these attacks have remained unprecedented since 2006 when "Israel" invoked the Dhahiya Doctrine, targeting residential areas in the region.

The occupation forces' statement claimed that Hezbollah was hiding weapons amongst civilian homes, but the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon released a statement denying any such claims. Hezbollah's media office issued a statement noting it "denies the Israeli occupation's false claims about the presence of weapons or weapons stores in the civilian buildings it targeted in the southern suburbs of Beirut at dawn on Saturday."

Moreover, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed that there was no military activity in the areas targeted by the occupation, stressing that all the targets hit by the bombing were civilian and included residential buildings, in addition to the Ghandour factory for food industries.

It is worth noting that "Israel" launched a series of airstrikes in a brutal attack on the 'Harit 'Huraik area of the southern suburbs on Friday afternoon, leveling six residential buildings. This attack led to the killing of six people and injured 91 others, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health's preliminary toll.

Renewed Israeli airstrikes target new parts of southern Beirut suburbs

By Al Mayadeen English

September 28, 2024, 03:25 pm (local time)

Israeli occupation forces have launched a series of airstrikes on residential areas in southern Beirut under the pretense of targeting Hezbollah infrastructure; Hezbollah rejected the claims of storing weapons among civilians.

In a series of escalations, Israeli occupation forces launched renewed attacks on the southern suburb of Beirut. Al-Mayadeen's correspondent reported multiple airstrikes targeting residential buildings in the al-Hadath and al-Lailaki areas, causing significant destruction.

At approximately 1 a.m., Israeli occupation warplanes executed a series of raids, specifically targeting residential buildings in Al-Laylaki, Al-Kafaat, Shuwaifat, Burj Al-Barajina, and Al-'Hadath.

This comes after the Israeli occupation military carried out several airstrikes on Friday that hit residential neighborhoods in the 'Harit Huraik area in the Southern Suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut.

It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation's spokesperson had made an announcement that further airstrikes would target Beirut's suburbs, condemning residents to forced displacement. The targeted region continues to house thousands of Lebanese people unable to leave elsewhere; these attacks have remained unprecedented since 2006 when "Israel" invoked the Dhahiya Doctrine, decimating entire residential neighborhoods.

The occupation forces' statement claimed that Hezbollah was hiding weapons amongst civilian homes, but the Islamic Resistance released a statement denying any such claims.

'Hizbullah's media office issued a statement noting it "denies the Israeli occupation's false claims about the presence of weapons or weapons stores in the civilian buildings it targeted in the southern suburbs of Beirut at dawn on Saturday."

Moreover, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed that there was no military activity in the areas targeted by the occupation, stressing that all the targets hit by the bombing were civilian and included residential buildings, in addition to the Ghandour factory for food industries.

In parallel, sirens have also sounded in the occupied city of Safad and its surrounding areas.

Massive Israeli strikes hit residential area in Beirut Southern Suburb

By Al-Mayadeen English Source:

Al-Mayadeen, September 27, 2024 19:27 pm

The new Israeli aggression targeted residential neighborhoods in the 'Harit Huraik area.

The Israeli occupation military carried out on Friday several airstrikes that hit residential neighborhoods in the 'Harit Huraik area in the Southern Suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent reported.

This comes in parallel with the massive aggression that "Israel" has launched since Monday against South Lebanon and the Biqaa' region to its east, which has killed more than 700 people, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

Videos circulating on social media showed the immense impact of the Israeli airstrikes on the targeted area.

Six buildings were destroyed to the ground as a result of the latest Israeli aggression.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that 2,000 tons of explosives were dropped on Beirut's Southern Suburb in the recent assault.

The media are also talking about the failure of the goal of the aggression.

The Israeli Army radio pointed out that F-35 aircraft carried out the airstrikes using bunker-buster bombs.

Our correspondent mentioned that the destruction resulting from the aggression "is devastating, and several buildings were razed to the ground," as efforts to clear the rubble and search for survivors and injured individuals are ongoing.

Following the aggression, Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najeeb Miqati indicated that the Israeli attack reflects "Israel's" disregard for global calls for a ceasefire.

According to Israeli media, "Israel" informed the United States of the attack on Beirut's Southern Suburb shortly before its execution.

Daniel Hagari, the spokesperson for the Israeli occupation military, claimed the attack was a "precise strike on the central HQ of Hezbollah."

Media reports said Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu abruptly left a press briefing at the United Nations after receiving updates from his military advisor.

Huge Israeli aerial attacks rock Beirut’s southern suburb

Friday 27-September-2024

BEIRUT, (PIC)

A series of intense Israeli airstrikes hit Beirut’s heavily-populated southern suburb on Friday evening as blasts were heard throughout the Lebanese capital, amid reports of a horrific massacre in the bombed area.

According to media sources, thick black smoke was seen billowing from the area after Israeli warplanes reportedly fired 10 missiles at Al-Huraik neighborhood in the south of Beirut, reducing a number of apartment buildings to rubble.

It was not immediately clear what the target was, but Lebanese media pointed to the possibility that this attack aimed to assassinate 'Hizbullah secretary-general 'Hasan Nasrullah.

The massive explosion was so powerful it rattled windows and shook houses some several kilometers north of Beirut. Ambulances were seen heading for the scene of the explosions.

The missile attack came an hour after thousands of people attended the funeral of a top Hezbollah commander who was killed the day before.

Earlier in the day, an Israeli airstrike killed a family of nine in a Lebanese border village, medical sources said.

As Lebanon is struggling to deal with a rising death toll, tens of thousands of civilians have fled their homes in areas under constant Israeli attack.

The Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

Israeli occupation forces continue to ban dawn prayers at Al-Ibraheemi Mosque for 16th day

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), September 27, 2024 (WAFA) –

For the 16th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces have prohibited the call to the dawn prayer at Al-Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khaleel (Hebron), sparking outrage among local worshippers and officials.

According to Ghassan Al-Rajabi, the Director of Muslim Awqaf (Endowments) in Hebron, the ban is aimed at allowing settlers to conduct their religious rituals in the part of the mosque that has been occupied. This section includes the area where the call to prayer is traditionally announced.

Al-Rajabi stated that Israeli forces have intensified their security measures around the mosque, implementing stricter controls at entry points and military checkpoints leading to the site.

He described these actions as an effort to obstruct access for worshippers and visitors, raising concerns about the impact on religious freedoms in the area.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack a Palestinian north of Aree'ha (Jericho)

Aree'ha (Jericho), September 27, 2024 (WAFA) –

A horde of the illegal Israeli settlers Friday night attacked a Palestinian near Al-‘Auja spring, north of the occupied West Bank city of Aree'ha (Jericho), according to local sources.

They said that several colonists assaulted a Palestinian, identified as a resident of Yatma village, south of Nablus, and vandalized his vehicle while he was along with other Palestinians near the water spring, inflicting cuts and bruises across his body.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

The settler violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.

'Hamas: Netanyahu’s speech poses an obvious risk to global security and peace

Saturday 28-September-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is a clear threat to international peace and security by insisting on continuing and expanding the aggression against the peoples of the region.

“Netanyahu escalated in his speech his threats to the region peoples, while he continues his frenzied war and intensifies the genocidal campaign against our people, and expands the circle of his crimes to include our people in Lebanon,” Hamas said in a statement on Friday night.

Netanyahu’s address to the UN General Assembly, according to 'Hamas, featured “chapters of blatant lies and disregard for world public opinion.”

“Netanyahu should have been arrested and held accountable as a war criminal, not opening the doors of the United Nations to a criminal terrorist who threatens regional and international peace and security,” the movement said in its statement.

Netanyahu’s speech presents “a clear threat to international peace and security by confirming his determination to continue expanding aggression against the peoples of the region and continuing his brutal crimes, based on a criminal American policy that provides political and military cover for these crimes,” the statement reads.

From the moment Netanyahu arrived in Manhattan for the UN meetings, large demonstrations erupted across several streets, amplifying calls for accountability regarding the atrocities perpetrated by Netanyahu and the Israeli military against the Palestinian people over the past year. Protesters also decried the recent Israeli aggression on Lebanon.

Activists plan to continue their demonstrations throughout Netanyahu's stay in New York, aiming to pressure delegations attending the General Assembly to act swiftly to end the ongoing Israeli onslaught.

'Hamdan: US is complicit in Israel’s crimes and does not seek regional stability

Friday 27-September-2024

BEIRUT, (PIC)

Senior Hamas official Osama 'Hamdan has accused the US administration of complicity in Israel’s war crimes in Palestine and Lebanon despite its public claims of working towards stability in the region.

“The US is complicit in the Israeli occupation’s crimes while claiming to be seeking calm and stability,” 'Hamdan said in an interview with Al-Mayadeen satellite channel on Thursday.

“The [Israeli] occupation cannot stand in the face of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon without American support,” 'Hamdan emphasized.

'Hamdan also criticized the current international system. “The global order needs reform, as it has become paralyzed. Those who are crippling it must understand that it is on the verge of collapse.”

In another context, 'Hamdan accused the Israeli occupation of trying to demoralize the resistance in Lebanon and its people while evading accountability on the world stage.

“I do not believe the resistance in Lebanon was surprised by the Israeli behavior, nor were we,” the 'Hamas official said.

Guterres says Gaza people in “living hell,” calls for more support for UNRWA

Friday 27-September-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres has urged world leaders on Thursday to increase support for UNRWA, which provides vital humanitarian services for the Palestinian refugees, especially for those living in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Guterres made his plea at a high-level meeting co-organized by Jordan and Sweden in support of UNRWA, which was held on the margins of the UN General Assembly meetings in New York.

“When we met one year ago, I spoke about putting ourselves in the shoes of Palestinians in Gaza. Of imagining what life must be like. I ended my remarks one year ago by saying: ‘This is the most dramatic humanitarian problem associated with the riskiest explosive potential.’ This was just days before the [events] of October 7, 2023,” Guterres said, addressing the attendees.

“Now, almost one year since that day, the situation for Palestinians in Gaza is beyond imagination. It has been said that ‘the United Nations was not created to bring us to heaven, but to save us from hell.’ Unfortunately, neither the United Nations nor anyone else that might have the power to do it was able to save the people of Gaza from hell.”

“We have failed the people of Gaza. They are in a living hell that somehow gets even worse by the day,” Guterres highlighted.

He emphasized that “there is no alternative to UNRWA” and urged all UN member states to “work on all fronts to intensify support for the agency’s vital mission.”

Guterres said UNRWA “is not a sustainable long-term solution to the plight of Palestine Refugees,” and reiterated his call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza, release of prisoners and a long-term political solution ending the occupation and leading to two states living side by side in peace and security.

“But until that moment, UNRWA remains indispensable,” he said, urging countries to provide “full support.”

The UN chief also said “two million Palestinians are now crammed into a space the size of the Shanghai International Airport. Existing — not living, but existing — among lakes of sewage, piles of rubbish and mountains of rubble. The only certainty they have is that tomorrow will be worse.”

“Yet if there is any outpost of hope in this hellscape, it is UNRWA,” he said.

The agency is facing immense challenges on the operational and political level, according to Guterres, who said that “222 UNRWA colleagues have been killed, many together with entire families, several in the line of duty,” and it is “the highest death toll in UN history.”

Guterres pointed to Israeli smear campaigns that “discredit the agency’s life-saving work,” and the draft legislation by Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, to classify UNRWA as a terrorist organization.

“In the face of the catastrophic conditions, UNRWA perseveres,” he said.

The UN chief expressed “full confidence in UNRWA’s continued commitment to upholding the humanitarian principles of neutrality, impartiality, and humanity.”

“Member states are showing that same confidence. Virtually all donors have reversed their funding suspensions. One hundred and twenty-three countries have signed up to the declaration on shared commitments to UNRWA. This underscores the consensus that UNRWA’s role across the occupied West Bank and the region is vital,” he underlined.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
