By September 24, 2024, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 51,467+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (41,467), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 10,000+). 

By September 24, 2024, the documented injuries exceeded 95,921.

By September 24, 2024, 717 Palestinians who were killed, 5,751 who were injured, and 10,867, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023, including 310 women and 640 children (Some of the detainees have been released).

"وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا" (النِّسَاءُ ، 4: 93).

"إِنْ أَحْسَنتُمْ أَحْسَنتُمْ لِأَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا ۚ " (الإسْرَاءُ ، 17: 7).

"Because of that, We decreed upon the Children of Israel that whoever kills a soul, unless for a soul, or for corruption in the land, it is as if he had killed humankind entirely" (The Holy Quran, Al-Ma-ida, 5: 32).

"And whoever kills a believer intentionally, his recompense is Hell, wherein he will abide eternally, and Allah has become angry with him, and has cursed him, and has prepared for him a great torment" (Al-Nisa, 4: 93).

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

 After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

War on Lebanon: 558 killed, 1835 injured by 'Israel'

The extensive Israeli aggression continues targeting different regions across Lebanon, raising the death toll to at least 558 killed so far.

The Israeli aggression on Lebanon has killed 558 citizens, including 50 children, and wounded 1,835 others, Lebanese Health Minister Firas Abiyadh said during a press conference on Tuesday. 

According to Abiad, "the Israeli enemy's brutality led to the martyrdom of several members of medical and rescue teams."

Al-Mayadeen's correspondent had reported over 1,000 Israeli airstrikes targeting the Lebanese South since "Israel" launched its extensive aggression on Monday. 

The villages and towns of Qana, 'Ain Ba'al, Al-Aqbiya, Al-Sultaniyya, Sidiqeen, Jabal Al-Batm, Dabial, Markaba, 'Arab Saleem, 'Aytit, Ma'raka, and Al-Nabatiya Al-Fawqa were targeted, as well as the bridge between Jizzeen and Marji'youn, in southernmost Lebanon. 

In West Biqaa', 24 people were killed, while five are missing so far. Al-Mayadeen's correspondent also reported 113 martyrs and 500 injuries in northern Biqaa' as a result of the Israeli raids over the past 24 hours, where the towns of Sha'ath, Douris, and Al-Bazaliya were targeted.

'Israel' launches dozens of airstrikes on Lebanon

The Israeli occupation forces launch dozens of airstrikes on Southern Lebanon in light of the ongoing aggression, which has claimed hundreds of lives thus far.

Throughout Tuesday, Israeli warplanes launched a series of intense airstrikes across several towns in southern Lebanon, escalating tensions in the region. The targeted areas spanned wide swaths of Lebanese territory, particularly in the south.

The towns hit included Abbasiya, Shehabiya, Ma'roub, and Deir Qanoun al-Nahr. In addition, airstrikes struck the towns of Ain Qana, Kfar Roummana, Jibsheet, Nahr Suriefa, Toul, Al-Marwaniya, and Majdal Silm. Other reports confirmed raids on 'Ainata, Wadi Zifta, and Tayba, among other southern villages. 

A strike on the strategic road linking Musayla, a critical connector between the southern city of Al-Nabatiya, Sidon, and Beirut, further disrupted transportation and could potentially delay aid delivery and evacuation efforts in the region. Additionally, Israeli jets carried out airstrikes in the town of Arab al-Jal in the Sidon district.

Al-Mayadeen correspondents reported particularly heavy bombardment in Al-Shehabiya, with residents scrambling for shelter amid the destruction. Airstrikes also rained down on the villages of Daoudiya, Marwaniya, Haboush, Kfar Fila, and the Wadi Sheb'a area.

More towns struck later in the day include Al-Burj Al-Shamali, Batoulay, 'Harouf, Kfar Seer, and Tefahta.

The full extent of the damage remains unclear, with communication disrupted in several of the affected towns.

More than 500 martyrs, 1600 wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon

The Israeli occupation army continued its brutal and extensive aggression on Lebanon on Tuesday and launched hundreds of air attacks, destroying homes on top of their residents and resulting in hundreds of martyrs and wounded.

At least 10 Lebanese citizens were martyred at dawn Tuesday as a result of the Israeli bombing of their home in the Sha'ath town in the Biqaa'.

Meanwhile, six people were martyred and 25 others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the Al-'Aqebiya area in the Sidon district, while the death toll has risen since yesterday to more than 500 martyrs, according to Lebanese media.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced in a statement on Monday evening that “492 people were martyred and 1,645 others were wounded,” including women, children and paramedics, as a result of the Israeli raids on southern and eastern Lebanon since Monday morning. Among the martyrs were 35 children and 58 women.

Palestinian sources reported the martyrdom of two Palestinian young men, Mu'hammed Al-Hajj and Abdullah Ibrahim, from the Burj Al-Shamali Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, who were killed in the Israeli attacks.

Israeli attacks continue on Lebanon as 492 people killed

At least 492 people, including 35 children, have been killed in a day of unrelenting Israeli attacks on Lebanon, according to the country’s Health Ministry.

At least 1,645 were also wounded in the attack.

The attacks have caused widespread chaos and forced scores of people to flee southern and eastern parts of the country as concerns over a full-scale war grow.

The Lebanese National Information Agency reported an Israeli airstrike on several buildings in Al-Kharayib and the town of Al-Saksakiya, resulting in more martyrs and wounded as Israeli warplanes continued shelling wide areas of southern Lebanon.

Lebanese sources reported that Israeli warplanes launched dozens of raids on the towns located in eastern and southern Lebanon, while the Israeli army ordered Lebanese civilians to evacuate any house used by 'Hizbullah.

Meanwhile, the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said that the Israeli army’s escalated military attacks against civilians and residential areas in Lebanon, particularly in the South and Biqaa' regions, along with the issuance of evacuation orders, raising alarm in the region.

Urgent international intervention is required to prevent the massacres and other atrocities being carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip for more than 11 months from occurring in Lebanon as well, the Euro-Med said in a statement issued Monday.

The Israeli occupation army carried out over 330 raids in over 117 Lebanese towns and cities today, 23 September 2024, according to the Euro-Med Monitor field team.

These raids were directed towards civilian residential areas in southern Lebanon and various areas of the Biqaa' region. As a result, 274 people—including 21 children—have been killed and over 1,024 individuals—including women, children, and paramedics—have been injured as of the early afternoon hours. As of the time of writing, Israeli airstrikes are still in progress, with the frequency of shelling attacks on residential areas rising.

Lebanon: Hundreds of families flee south to the north

BEIRUT, September, 24, 2024 (WAFA) –

Hundreds of Lebanese families were displaced on Tuesday from the south and the Biqkaa' to the north after Israeli warplanes intensified bombing in several areas.

The National News Agency said that a number of displaced families from the south and the Biqkaa' arrived in a number of 'Akkar towns, where some municipalities and civil society organizations provided them with all necessary needs.

According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the occupation raids since yesterday have resulted in the killing of more than 492 people, including 35 children and 58 women, and the injury of 1645.

Hadi Al-Sayyid, our colleague at Al-Mayadeen, was martyred Tuesday by the Israeli occupation in its aggression on Southern Lebanon.

Martyr al-Sayyed had on Monday sustained critical injuries to the head after an Israeli airstrike hit his hometown of Burj Ra'h-'hal in southern Lebanon. 

Al-Mayadeen Media Network eulogized martyr Hadi Al-Sayyid, a colleague within its online department's social media unit. The network underlined that it will continue to embark on its journey, undeterred and unbowed by Israeli aggression, pledging to remain steadfast in its opposition to the Israeli occupation. 

The martyr had been transported to a hospital in Sidon for treatment, undergoing surgery after which he passed away.

Al-Sayyid was a young, courteous, dedicated, and ambitious colleague who had a profound belief in pro-Resistance media. He never spared any effort in serving the Resistance and the Palestinian cause, supporting the righteous people of Gaza and occupied Palestine, as well as those of his country, Lebanon.

UN chief: World cannot afford Lebanon to become another Gaza

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned member states Tuesday about Lebanon “becoming another Gaza” amid escalating tensions with Israel.

Highlighting the “epic transformation” that the world is facing, Guterres addressed member states during the opening of the 79th UN General Assembly at New York headquarters.

“Our world is in a whirlwind. We are in an era of epic transformation — facing challenges unlike any we have ever seen — challenges that demand global solutions,” said Guterres, adding that “geo-political divisions keep deepening.”

Drawing attention to global warming, the UN chief said that “wars rage with no clue how they will end.”

He underscored the threat of nuclear posturing and “new weapons cast a dark shadow.”

“We are edging towards the unimaginable, a powder keg that risks engulfing the world,” he said.

Guterres grounded his speech in two key realities: that the current global state of affairs is “unsustainable” and the challenges facing the world are “solvable.”

“The level of impunity in the world is politically indefensible and morally intolerable,” he stressed, lamenting that many governments feel entitled to disregard international laws, human rights conventions and UN resolutions.

“They can invade another country, lay waste to whole societies, or utterly disregard the welfare of their own people. And nothing will happen,” he said, noting that the “impunity” can be seen in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and beyond.

On the Middle East, Guterres observed that “Gaza is a non-stop nightmare that threatens to take the entire region with it. Look no further than Lebanon.”

Saying all states should be “alarmed by the escalation” between Lebanon and Israel, he said. “Lebanon is at the brink.”

“The people of Lebanon, the people of Israel, and the people of the world cannot afford Lebanon to become another Gaza,” he said.

He denounced the collective punishment of Palestinians, reiterating his demand for an immediate cease-fire and the start of a two-state solution.

“The speed and scale of the killing and destruction in Gaza are unlike anything in my years as secretary-general. More than 200 of our own staff have been killed, many with their families,” he said.

Gaza: Death toll surges to 41,467 martyrs

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation army committed three massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring at least 55 civilians, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but at least 12 martyrs and 43 wounded citizens were transported to hospitals.

The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 41,467 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 95,921 people.

The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by the 'Hamas armed wing, Al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7, 2023.

Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters day 354

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 354 on Tuesday, aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to bomb homes and shelter centers and attack citizens in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours.

According to media sources, six civilians, including three women, were martyred and others were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed a house in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in central Gaza.

The Israeli army also bombed a group of citizens in Al-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza, killing four of them, including children.

Another Israeli attack on a house belonging to the family of Jarghoun in Khan Younus, south of Gaza, claimed the lives of two people and injured five others.

A similar attack on a house in Qizan Abu Rashwan area in southern Khan Younus killed five people and injured 10 others.

Two citizens were martyred and others were injured last night when the Israeli army bombed a civilian car in Dair El-Bala'h in central Gaza.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

Seven Palestinians killed, others injured in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza

GAZA, September 24, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli genocidal airstrikes Tuesday evening killed at least seven Palestinians and injured others in the northern war-torn Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli warplanes carried out an airstrike that targeted a group of civilians in Mashrou' Bait Lahya in the northern Strip, killing at least two and injuring others.

He added that Israeli fighter jets also targeted an apartment in the northwestern Strip, killing five civilians, including a woman and two children and injuring others with several missing persons.

Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafa'h, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.

Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 41,467 Palestinians and injuring over 95,921 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Seven Palestinians killed by Israeli raid in Gaza's Khan Younus

GAZA, September 24, 2024 (WAFA) – 

Four Palestinians were killed and others were injured on Tuesday in an Israeli occupation raid on the city of Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent said that paramedics recovered the bodies of five slain people and a number of wounded, following an Israeli raid that targeted a house belonging to Harb family in the vicinity of Al-Qal'a housing in the city of Khan Yunis, adding that they were transferred to Nasser Hospital in the city.

Two citizens were also killed and five others were injured as a result of the bombing that targeted a house belonging to Abu Jarbou' family in Ta'hliya area in Khan Younus.

Israeli warplanes launched a raid at dawn today on Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, while occupation vehicles opened fire on citizens' homes in Tal Al-Hawa and Al-Sabra neighborhoods in Gaza City.

The occupation forces continue the brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air since October 7, 2023, resulting in the killing of 41,455 Palestinian civilians and the injury of 95,878 others, most of whom are children and women, while thousands of missing persons are still under the rubble.

Six civilians, including two children, were killed and others were injured in the Israeli bombing of a house in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Medical sources reported that four civilians and two children were killed in the occupation’s shelling of a house in the new camp in Al-Nusayrat.

The number of civilians killed since the onset of the ongoing occupation's aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has so far risen to 41,467, in addition to 95,921 wounded, mostly children and women.

Thousands of victims are still trapped under the rubble.

11 civilians were killed and others were injured today in the ongoing occupation aggression in the central and southern Gaza Strip.

Medical sources said that six civilians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting two houses in Khan Younus city near the Ta'hlia area in the Sheikh Nasser area.

In the city of Rafa'h, two civilians were killed in an Israeli drone targeting their vehicle east of the city of Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip.

The occupation forces have continued their aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the killing of 41,455 civilians and the injury of 95,878 others, most of whom are children and women.

Meanwhile, thousands of missing persons are still under the rubble.

IOFs raid West Bank areas, kidnap at least 24 Palestinians

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped last night and at dawn Tuesday a number of Palestinian citizens in the West Bank, amid clashes in some areas.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped five citizens from their homes in the towns of Ya’bad and Yamoun in Jineen province.

In Nablus, the IOFs kidnapped three young men from 'Askar refugee camp and Iraq Al-Tayih village.

Seven citizens were also taken prisoners following an IOFs raid in Madama village, south of Nablus.

Another citizen was kidnaped at an IOFs checkpoint near the village of Majdal Bani Fadhil in southern Nablus.

Local sources said that Israeli soldiers went on the rampage through Madama village, raiding homes, destroying private property, stealing personal belongings and assaulting local residents.

In Ramallah, Israeli forces kidnaped six brothers after raiding the house of Sali'h 'Ankoush in Deer Abu Mish’al.

A young man was also kidnapped by the IOFs from his home in Al-Masayif neighborhood in Al-Beerih City.

Over 10,900 Palestinians kidnapped in occupied West Bank since October 7, says prisoners institutions

RAMALLAH, September, 24, 2024 (WAFA) – 

The Israeli occupation forces kidnapped at least 25 people, including former detainees, in the occupied West Bank during the last 24 hours.

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestine Prisoners Society said in a joint statement that the detention operations took place in the governorate of Nablus, while the others were distributed among the governorates of Jenin, Ramallah, and Hebron, accompanied by widespread raids and abuse, assaults and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes.

PPS and the Commission affirmed that, the total number of Palestinians detained in the occupied West Bank since October 7th has risen to over 10,800. This figure includes those detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.

Palestinian doctor seriously injured by IOF gunfire in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) shot and injured a Palestinian doctor on Tuesday in 'Azzoun town, east of the city of Qalqilya, in the northern West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said that a doctor was seriously shot and injured in the back by Israeli gunfire in 'Azzoun town.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society affirmed that a 50-year-old man was injured by Israeli gunfire.

Local sources indicated that the IOF opened fire on a Palestinian vehicle and seriously injured a man on board, after he was hit by more than one bullet in various parts of his body.

Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) have escalated demolition operations of homes and facilities in the West Bank, with a total of 150 demolished structures in Jericho, since October 7, 2023. The demolitions come as part of the Israeli policies of displacement and land seizure for settlement expansion.

On Monday, the IOFs demolished a house in the village of Al-Jiftlik, north of the city of Jericho, while settlers bulldozed lands in Salfeet in the West Bank.

The IOFs stormed the village of Al-Jiftlik and demolished a two-story house that was built more than 15 years ago in the Al-Muthalath area and belongs to the citizen Na-il Mustafa Bani 'Oada.

In Salfeet, settlers bulldozed areas of land in the town of Qarawat Bani Hassan, west of the city.

Meanwhile, a group of settlers carried out land bulldozing operations in the Bir Abu 'Ammar area, northwest of the town.

The area is considered one of the archaeological, touristic and recreational areas for the town’s residents, where horse competitions, shows and many social activities are held.

Al-Khaleel (Hebron): IOA barred “dawn call to prayer” at Ibraheemi Mosque for 8th day running

The Palestinian Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs said on Tuesday that the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) City prevented, for the eighth consecutive day, the dawn call to prayer at the Ibraheemi Mosque.

In a statement, the Awqaf Ministry strongly denounced the Israeli army for persisting in banning the call to prayer at dawn at the Ibraheemi Mosque, describing the measure as a “dangerous development aimed at suppressing the performance of Islamic acts of worship at the Mosque as a prelude to completely banning them in the future.”

The Ministry warned of the gravity of Israel’s escalation of its violations at the Ibraheemi Mosque, pointing out that the Israeli army barred on Monday a foreign diplomatic delegation from entering the Islamic holy site in an attempt to prevent them from seeing the Judaization and desecration practices that happen inside it.

The Ministry also said that hundreds of the illegal Israeli settlers desecrated the Ibraheemi Mosque last night through holding and participating in a boisterous concert that involved singing and dancing.

The ministry stressed the need for international action to put an end to Israel’s violations at the Ibrahimi Mosque and enable the Palestinians to restore their authority over their Islamic holy site.

Illegal Israeli settlers attack Palestinian’s house south of Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

Illegal Israeli settlers Tuesday evening attacked a Palestinian’s house in Al-Karmil village, south of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to local sources.

They said that colonists mounted an attack on a house in the village, wreaking havoc inside and sabotaging trees and crops.

Meanwhile, colonists encroached upon and ploughed Palestinian privately-owned land in Masafir Yatta, at a time when the occupation forces continued to prevent the landowners from reaching and cultivating their land.

Illegal Israeli settlers’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Illegal Israeli settlers’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Over 700,000 Israeli colonists are living in colonies across Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) and the West Bank in violation of international law.

Masafir Yatta is a collection of almost 19 hamlets that rely heavily on animal husbandry as their main source of livelihood.

Located in Area C of the West Bank, under full Israeli administrative and military control, the area has been subjected to repeated Israeli violations by colonists and soldiers targeting their main source of living - livestock.

It has been designated as a closed Israeli military zone for training since the 1980s and is accordingly referred to as Firing Zone 918.

Israeli violations against the area include demolition of animal barns, homes and residential structures. Issuance of construction permits by Israel to local Palestinians in the area is non-existent.

Twelve hundred Gaza detainees incarcerated in the Israeli detention camp in Al-Naqab (Negev) desert jail face systematic torture - Reveals Detainees' Commission

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission said new testimonies by Palestinian detainees from the Gaza Strip revealed that around 1,200 Gazans detained in the Israeli Negev desert prison face systematic torture, abuse and horrifying assaults.

According to testimonies of Gaza detainees in the Negev prison, there are about 1,200 Gaza detainees in the Negev prison, divided into eight sections, each section containing 150 detainees. Detainees suffer unbearable conditions in overcrowded cells that lack basic health standards, including the infestation of insects and snakes, which led to the outbreak of contagious skin diseases.  

The Commission stressed that nearly a year into the ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people, the occupation persists in employing all available policies and methods to torture detainees in its prisons and detention camps, which have become venues for torture operations.

The commission stressed that the treatment of detainees today is a manifestation of the genocidal war, which is evident in the harrowing and brutal testimonies of those incarcerated.

The Commission stressed that the passage of time only heightens the threats to the detainees' fate, as the prison administration continues to develop new methods to strip them of their humanity.

It reiterated its call for the international human rights system to reclaim its essential role and end the impotence regarding the systematic crimes of the occupation amid the ongoing genocidal war and crimes committed against Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons.

The Commission called for holding the leaders of the occupation accountable at international courts for their acts of genocide, the systematic looting and destruction of everything Palestinian and the crimes committed against detainees.

The occupation authorities have been committing the crime of enforced disappearance against thousands of detainees in Gaza. Several months ago, following some legal amendments, human rights organizations were able to conduct limited visits to the detainees; however, many are still subjected to the crime of enforced disappearance, along with thousands who remain missing.

To date, the occupation refuses to allow the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit the detainees or obtain any information regarding their status. The commission highlighted the significant obstacles that have been facing the legal teams in their follow-ups and visits since the onset of the war.

UNRWA: We are facing difficulties in bringing in the necessary winter supplies

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that it is making every possible effort for the people of the Gaza Strip to urgently provide them with the necessary winter supplies, including plastic sheets, tents, mattresses, mats, blankets, and other basic supplies.

UNRWA explained in a press statement on Monday that it, along with all humanitarian organizations, are facing great difficulties in bringing these supplies into the Gaza Strip, noting that once they arrive, they will be immediately distributed to those in need.

UNRWA urgently appealed for an immediate halt to the destruction of homes and shelters, demanding the opening of more crossings to the Gaza Strip to enable humanitarian agencies to deliver basic supplies to thousands of families in need.

The UN agency also stressed the need for an immediate ceasefire to ensure the safe and sustainable delivery of aid, and to give families a chance to rebuild their lives safely.

Israel is waging a devastating war on Gaza, killing and wounding about 135,000 Palestinians, most of them children and women. More than 10,000 remain missing amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens, in one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.

UN officials demand end to appalling human suffering in Gaza

Senior UN officials on Monday issued a warning about threats of wider regional escalation, demanding “an end to the appalling human suffering and humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.”

In a joint statement, UN officials “mourn the loss of innocent life everywhere, including those killed on October 7 and during the 11 months of conflict since then.”

Calling for “a sustained, immediate and unconditional ceasefire,” UN officials also urged for the immediate release of all “hostages and all those arbitrarily detained.”

“Humanitarians must have safe and unimpeded access to those in need,” the statement added.

Highlighting the devastating toll of the ongoing conflict, with over 41,000 Palestinians killed and more than 95,500 injured since October, the statement noted that “more than 2 million Palestinians are without protection, food, water, sanitation, shelter, health care, education, electricity and fuel – the basic necessities to survive.”

“Women and girls’ dignity, safety, health and rights have been severely compromised,” it said.

Saying that “the risk of famine persists,” the UN officials stressed that all 2.1 million residents are in urgent need of food and livelihood assistance.

It stated that the healthcare has been devastated, with over 500 attacks on medical facilities in Gaza.

“Our capacity to deliver is indisputable if we are granted the access we need,” they said, pointing to polio vaccination campaigns that reached hundreds of thousands of children despite the conflict.

Citing the “unnecessary and disproportionate force unleashed in the West Bank,” the statement said “escalating settler violence, house demolitions, forced displacement and discriminatory movement restrictions, have caused increased fatalities and casualties.”

“The war is also jeopardizing the future for all Palestinians and rendering eventual recovery far from reach,” it said.

UN officials further called for accountability for serious violations of international humanitarian law, insisting that “allowing the abhorrent, downward spiral caused by this war in the Occupied Palestinian Territory to continue will have unimaginable, global consequences.”

The statement also urged world leaders to exert diplomatic pressure, declaring, “Let us be clear: The protection of civilians is a bedrock principle for the global community and in all countries’ interest.”

UNGA President calls for immediate and unconditional ceasefire in all conflicts

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) President Philémon Yang Tuesday called for immediate and unconditional ceasefire in all conflicts worldwide, including in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Speaking in the general debate of the seventy-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, Yang called for ceasefires in all conflicts and urged all parties involved to adhere to international law.

Pointing out the situation in Gaza as a critical example, he reiterated that “only a two-state solution can end the cycle of violence and instability,” which he believes would bring peace, security, and stability to all.

He noted that progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has been significantly delayed, while the climate crisis is no longer a distant threat, as it damages entire livelihoods and communities.

He stressed that the lack of confidence further complicates the prospects for peaceful settlement of conflicts while reiterating that it was not the time to invest in this and enter into a dialogue on sustainable dignity and peace.

Stressing the need for the international community to unite in the pursuit of peace, Yang called for resources to be diverted away from military build-ups and arms races and noted the urgent need to renew the global financial architecture, alongside addressing the growing digital divide.
