While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Israeli Aggression on Lebanon

ý'Hamas mourns 'Hizbullah leader Ibraheem 'Aqeel, says his assassination affirms unity of destiny

Saturday 21-September-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas mourned in a press statement on Saturday the 'Hizbullah leader Ibraheem Aqeel, and the martyrs of the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, who were killed on Friday in an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburb of Beirut.

“The martyrdom of the great leader Hajj Ibraheem Aqeel, along the road to Jerusalem, and in the heroic support battle that the Islamic Resistance is waging in Lebanon in support of our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip alongside our brothers in the axis of resistance, confirms once again the unity of destiny and path,” it added.

Hamas expressed its sincere condolences to 'Hizbullah and the Lebanese people “for the martyrdom of the great leader Ibraheem Aqeel, who ascended to heaven with a group of martyred leaders, in a cowardly assassination carried out by the Israeli occupation army.”

It appreciated the “great sacrifices” made by the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, and their insistence on continuing their support and backing to the Palestinian people who are being subjected to a brutal war of genocide “at the hands of the criminal neo-Nazi Zionists.”

The confrontations between Israeli army and Hezbollah have escalated since the assassination of the party’s military commander Fouad Shukr.

For its part, the Lebanese 'Hizbullah mourned on Saturday the military commander A'hmed Wahbi and 13 fighters who were martyred in the Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, in which the military commander Ibraheem Aqeel was assassinated.

'Hizbullah officially confirmed and mourned late Friday the assassination of Ibraheem Aqeel. It explained that leader A'hmed Wahbi assumed responsibility for leading  Al-Ridhwan Force, noting that Wahbi played a fundamental role in the party.

Aqeel is the second assassinated senior official in 'Hizbullah after Fouad Shukr since 'Hizbullah has opened a front to support the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli aggression on October 7.

A Lebanese security source told Aljazeera that the Israeli strike on the southern suburb of Beirut targeted a meeting of more than 20 people of the leadership committee of Al-Ridhwan Force in 'Hizbullah.

The source added that Israeli warplanes fired at least four missiles that destroyed the building, penetrated its parking lot, and reached the meeting place on the second underground floor.

Euro-Med condemns new Israeli massacre against displaced families in Gaza

Saturday 21-September-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has condemned the Israeli aerial attack on a school sheltering displaced families on Saturday morning, describing it as another “war crime.”

“The Israeli airstrike on Saturday morning on another school sheltering displaced people in az-Zeitoun neighborhood in the south of Gaza City — killing over 20 Palestinians at once, mostly children and women — is a new crime added to the list of war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza Strip,” Euro-Med said in a statement.

Euro-Med explained that one of its field teams visited the bombed school immediately following the Israeli attack and it did not see any presence of armed personnel or equipment in its premises.

The casualties are all civilians, mostly women and children, which refutes the Israeli army’s claim that it had targeted a school used as a military command and control center by armed groups, according to the Euro-Med team who visited the shelter center.

Euro-Med accused the Israeli army of repeating such a claim against Gaza schools that are used as shelter centers for displaced people every time it bombs them, pointing out that since the war started, the army had bombed 21 schools, including eight since early September.

Euro-Med also accused the Israeli army of deliberately destroying shelter centers in Gaza with the aim of creating coercive environment that forces civilians to leave their areas of residence.

Euro-Med called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility towards Gaza and work on protecting its people against the genocide and serious crimes committed by Israel against them.

UN condemns footage of Israeli soldiers abusing bodies of West Bankers

Saturday 21-September-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The UN has called for investigating the incident in which Israeli soldiers recently abused bodies of three Palestinian young men after killing them in Qabatya town, north of the occupied West Bank.

Israeli forces’ latest raid on the West Bank town of Qabatya resulted in the death of at least seven Palestinians. Disturbing video footage surfaced showing soldiers pushing lifeless bodies of three victims off a rooftop.

Reports from WAFA news agency said that three of the deceased were shot on the rooftop of a house before their bodies were thrown over and then lifted away by a military bulldozer.

In a news conference on Friday, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric described the footage as “frankly grotesque and inhumane,” emphasizing the urgent need for a transparent investigation into the incident.

He raised concerns about the escalating Israeli violence in the occupied West Bank and called for accountability for those responsible for the incident.

UN committee: Israel violated global child rights treaty in Gaza

Friday 20-September-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

A UN committee accused Israel of severe breaches of a global treaty protecting children’s rights, saying its military actions in Gaza had a catastrophic impact on them and are among the worst violations in recent history.

Palestinian health authorities say 41,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched its military aggression on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7.

Of those killed in Gaza, at least 11,355 are children, Palestinian data show, and thousands more are injured.

“The outrageous death of children is almost historically unique. This is an extremely dark place in history,” Bragi Gudbrandsson, vice chair of the committee, told reporters.

“I don’t think we have seen before, a violation that is so massive, as we are seeing in Gaza now…These are extremely grave violations that we do not often see,” he said.

Israel, which ratified the treaty in 1991, accused the committee of having a “politically-driven agenda”, in a statement sent by its diplomatic mission in Geneva.

It sent a large delegation to a series of U.N. hearings in Geneva in early September where they argued that the treaty did not apply in Gaza or the West Bank and said that it was committed to respecting international humanitarian law.

It says its military campaign in Gaza is aimed at eliminating the Palestinian enclave’s Hamas rulers and that it does not target civilians but that the militants hide among them, which Hamas denies.

The Committee praised Israel for attending but said it “deeply regrets the State party’s repeated denial of its legal obligations.”

The 18-member U.N. Committee monitors countries’ compliance with the 1989 Convention on the Rights of the Child, a widely-adopted treaty that protects them from violence and other abuses.

In its conclusions, it called on Israel to provide urgent assistance to thousands of children maimed or injured by the war, provide support for orphans and allow more medical evacuations from Gaza.

HI: Unexploded bombs are one of Gaza’s biggest long-term problems

Saturday 21-September-2024

LONDON, (PIC)

Handicap International (HI) has warned that unexploded ordnance is one of the biggest long-term problems in the war-battered Gaza Strip.

On the sidelines of its “Pyramides de chaussures (Pyramids of Shoes),” which will be held in Paris and Lyon on Saturday and Sunday, Handicap International affirmed that the presence of unexploded bombs across the Strip obstructs the delivery of humanitarian aid.

During the event, the NGO’s head of its operations in Gaza, Nicholas Orr, will give his testimony after he visited the coastal enclave on two missions.

“After nearly a year of war, bombs, artillery shells and other unexploded weapons could be found in the smallest places in Gaza — a situation that blocks the delivery of humanitarian aid and the establishment of health and medical infrastructure, Orr said in press remarks to Agence France-Presse (AFP) on Friday.

Describing the situation in Gaza as “extremely dangerous,” Orr said that one of the biggest problems in Gaza today is access to damaged buildings as a result of the presence of unexploded ordnance.

While waiting for a ceasefire, HI officials go to the field and report, on a case-by-case basis, some of the ammunition found before marking them with red paint to warn civilians against them.

“Even if the war stopped tomorrow, these explosives would remain a persistent problem in Gaza,” the HI official affirmed, pointing out that Paris and London still make efforts to remove explosive remnants from the Second World War.

The presence of unexploded ordnance under the rubble of buildings in Gaza poses a real danger to civilians, who sometimes collect their belongings from the ruins of their homes.

After apologizing to students, Israeli incitement against Columbia University’s new president

Saturday 21-September-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The interim president of Columbia University, Katrina Armstrong, is facing a widespread Israeli incitement campaign after she expressing her apology to protesters supporting Palestine and opposing the Israeli aggression in Gaza who were arrested by New York police, following the administration’s decision to clear the campus of protesters.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that Columbia University has become a symbol of violent protests at universities in the United States, as demonstrations on campus reached unprecedented levels.

In response to a question about the university’s request to the New York Police to disperse a large camp and remove protesters from Hamilton Hall last April, Armstrong said, “I know this is a hard thing for me to say, but I understand that I sit in this position. So, if you can let everyone know who was harmed by that, I’m very sorry. I know it wasn’t me, but I’m really sorry.”

Armstrong’s comments came during her first interview with the “Columbia Spectator,” where she apologized to those who were injured or harmed due to the New York Police’s actions last April at the Gaza solidarity camp, where police made over 200 arrests.

Armstrong took her current position after the sudden resignation of former Columbia University President Nemat Shafik in August, following severe criticism over her handling of ongoing anti-Israel protests amidst the ongoing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023.

A report by Maariv described Armstrong’s apology as “moral decay and anti-Semitism, a controversial step that goes against what Columbia University needs.”

Armstrong faced intense backlash from members of the university’s Jewish community after she apologized to those who felt offended by the administration’s decision to clear anti-Israel protests on campus last spring.

Last August, Columbia President Nemat Shafik resigned after months of angry student protests against Israel and in support of Gaza, just one year into her presidency, which was marked by ongoing protests against the occupation, during which hundreds of students and many academics were arrested.

Shafik’s resignation came amid escalating tensions among various parties at the university, complicating the challenges faced by the new president, Katrina Armstrong, in her attempts to balance freedom of expression and safety on campus.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
