While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Mish'al: 'Hamas will continue to uphold its resistance strategy and its legacy

Monday 21-October-2024

ISTANBUL, (PIC)

Head of the Hamas foreign political bureau Khalid Mish'al has reiterated that his Movement will remain adherent to its resistance strategy despite the martyrdom of its leaders, stressing that his Movement is full of leaders.

Addressing a memorial service held for martyr Ye'hya Al-Sinwar on Sunday in Istanbul, Mish'al affirmed that Hamas “will remain loyal to the path of the martyrs, to its principals and its strategic leadership and resistance values.”

Mish'al reassured the Palestinian people, 'Hamas’s friends and the Ummah that his “Movement can never give up its legacy” (ceasefire, total Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, self-determination, and reconstruction).

“'Hamas will continue, after the martyrdom of its political bureau chief and its leader in Gaza, to monitor what is happening on the ground. Its heart and mind will remain occupied with its popular incubator in Gaza. This great incubator has undertaken the resistance journey for decades,” Mish'al.

Mish'al highlighted that the leadership of Hamas would continue its efforts to bring the Israeli aggression against Gaza to a halt and protect its people, whose blood has been shed for years, especially during the current war on Gaza.

“Ye'hya Al-Sinwar’s martyrdom has made him an icon among our people, the Ummah’s peoples and the world’s free people,” the 'Hamas leader said.

Al-Sinwar has become an icon to the world, a source of pride for every freedom seeker and a role model. He lived a life full of resistance and struggle, strength of will, sacrifice and courage, and he departed with an end befitting his life,” he added.

Exclusive: MP says Al-Qardh Al-'Hasan depositors won't lose a penny

By Al-Mayadeen English

October 21, 2024, at 14:49 Beirut local time

In a statement to Al-Mayadeen, MP Ihab Hamadeh assured all depositors in Al-Qard Al-'Hasan that they would not "lose a penny" following the Israeli aggression on several branches of the institution.

MP Ihab 'Hamada, a member of the Loyalty to the Lebanese Resistance Bloc, assured depositors in Al-Qard Al-'Hasan that they would not lose any of their funds.

His remarks to Al-Mayadeen follow a series of aggressive raids by the occupation on Sunday, which specifically targeted branches of Al-Qardh Al-'Hasan financial institution in the southern suburbs of Beirut, Ba'albek, and southern Lebanon.

'Hamada emphasized that the foundation serves all Lebanese citizens and noted its provision of scholarships for 5,000 university students studying abroad. He also highlighted that the attacks on Al-Qard Al-'Hasan coincided with the arrival of the US envoy Amos Hochstein in Beirut.

In a related context, 'Hamada said, rebuking Israeli claims that the foundation is 'Hezbollah's financial arm', saying "Al-Qard Al-'Hasanis a costly institution for us and we do not make any profit from it."

What is Al-Qard Al-'Hasan?

Al-Qardh Al-'Hasan is a social institution focused on providing loans to individuals for specific periods to support their economic needs and services. It was established in 1982 following the Israeli war on Lebanon by 'Husain Al-Shami.

In recent years, the institution has expanded by opening several branches across most Lebanese regions, operating as a licensed institution under the Lebanese government.

However, the US government has imposed sanctions on the institution as part of the financial siege targeting 'Hizbullah and its social network. Additionally, it has faced incitement over the years from US media, as well as Western and Arab outlets.

'Israel' targets Al-Qardh Al-'Hasan

During the Israeli late-night aggression on Sunday, Lebanese media reported that the al-Qard al-Hasan financial institutions were targeted in Hermel and Baalbek after Israeli evacuation orders were issued for those areas.

Moreover, Lebanon's official National News Agency (NNA) reported 11 airstrikes on Beirut's Southern Suburb, many aimed at Al-Qardh Al-'Hasan, with one strike landing near the Beirut airport—the main entry point for humanitarian aid to the country.

Lebanese Foreign Ministry thanks UNIFIL, condemns Israeli attacks

By Al-Mayadeen English

October 21, 2024, at 14:28 Beirut local time

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates demands that "Israel" evacuate its positions, underscoring that these repeated attacks on UNIFIL represent a violation of international law.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates issued a condemnation on Monday regarding the ongoing Israeli aggression on UNIFIL centers and personnel. The ministry demanded that "Israel" evacuate UNIFIL positions, highlighting the repeated attacks as a violation of international law and humanitarian principles.

The ministry emphasized that "these assaults constitute a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and could amount to a war crime."

In its statement, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry highlighted that the ongoing Israeli attacks on UNIFIL centers and personnel are indicative of a broader policy by "Israel" to disregard the implementation of United Nations resolutions.

The ministry specifically referenced the failure to comply with the directives of the UN General Assembly and the Security Council, emphasizing that these assaults reflect a deliberate refusal to adhere to Resolution 1701, which calls for the cessation of hostilities and the establishment of peace in the region.

Lebanese ministry expresses gratitude to UNIFIL for its role in maintaining Peace

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants also expressed its sincere gratitude to the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and its deep appreciation for the role it has played since its establishment in 1978, both in leadership and among military and administrative personnel, in maintaining security and peace in southern Lebanon. It highlighted UNIFIL's contribution to development in local communities, which helps build stability in the region and keeps citizens in their homes.

Furthermore, the ministry extended its heartfelt thanks to the governments of countries participating in these forces, which have spared no effort in supporting UNIFIL's mission, whether through deploying troops and peacekeepers or providing the necessary logistical and material support to ensure the success of its mission.

It noted that "these countries share Lebanon's belief in the principles of the United Nations and its role in promoting international peace and security."

Additionally, the ministry called on the international community to take a firm stance in support of UNIFIL, ensuring its continued operations without exposure to threats or attacks on its security and safety.

The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants urged the international community to condemn "Israel" for its aggressive actions and called for an immediate ceasefire.

Israeli occupation forces deliberately targeted UNIFIL bases: Official

"The Israeli Army's targeting of UNIFIL forces was deliberate, unlike what Israeli officials are saying," UNIFIL spokesperson in Lebanon Andrea Tenenti confirmed on Friday, stressing that "Israel" targeted the forces several times, five of which were intentional.

According to Tenenti, the watchtower in Naqoura was directly targeted, resulting in the injury of two peacekeeping forces. The IOF also targeted the communication systems and cameras, and entered one of UNIFIL's locations a few days ago, staying there for 45 minutes.

All of these incidents were deliberate, Tenenti added, emphasizing that not only do they violate resolution 1701, but international law as well.

In a press conference of UN journalists in Geneva, the spokesperson revealed that peacekeeping forces are forced to stay in shelters for long durations due to the violent bombing.

"The Israeli side requested that we move from some positions along the Blue Line. We have about 29 sites very close to the Blue Line, within a distance of 5 km, but we decided not to move because it is important for the United Nations flag to remain raised there. We are at these locations at the request of the Security Council and the international community," he said.

He further stressed that UNIFIL needs to remain in Lebanon, and "the morale of the peacekeeping forces is still very high."

He also revealed that UNIFIL forces found traces of potential white phosphorus use near one of their bases in Lebanon several months ago.

On another note, Tenenti described the situation of Lebanese residents in southern Lebanon as "extremely tragic". He noted that about 450,000 people have migrated to the north, most of the villages along the Blue Line have been completely destroyed, and severe damage has brought ruin to entire southern villages.

He emphasized that delivering aid to these villages has become an urgent matter and a major challenge due to ongoing bombings and airstrikes targeting villages in the south, and "because we often do not receive guarantees against the targeting of aid convoys, which significantly limits our ability to coordinate with humanitarian organizations."

EU, GCC voice concerns about 'Israel' attacks on UNIFIL

The European Union (EU) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) issued a joint statement on Wednesday, condemning recent Israeli attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and expressing grave concerns about escalating violence in light of the Israeli onslaught on Lebanon.

"We are extremely concerned by the dangerous escalation in Lebanon and affirm our support for the Lebanese people," said the EU and GCC, following their first summit in Brussels. The statement saw the two blocs condemn any attacks on UN personnel, though it expressed "particularly grave concerns" over the recent attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon.

In one of the latest acts of aggression against the UNIFIL, Israeli tanks made an incursion into one of the peacekeepers' positions after having fired at them earlier in the week and used them as human shields against the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon.

On Wednesday, UN troops in Lebanon reported that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot at one of their locations in South Lebanon.

Peacekeepers in the southern town of Kfar Kila saw an IOF tank "firing at their watchtower," UNIFIL stated, adding that "two cameras were destroyed, and the tower was damaged" in what the force described as "direct and apparently deliberate fire on a UNIFIL position."

29 Palestinian citizens, including children, were killed and others were injured in five new massacres carried out by the Israeli occupation army in the northern Gaza Strip today, which included direct execution of displaced persons, shelling of civilian gatherings, targeting a house in Gaza City, and a school housing displaced persons in Bait 'Hanoun.

Medical sources reported that seven people were killed and wounded as a result of artillery shelling targeting displaced persons inside a school in the vicinity of Abu Rashid Pool in Jabalya refugee camp.

Eyewitnesses said that the occupation forces that penetrated the camp forced the displaced persons besieged in Kreizm school affiliated with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to gather and leave it.

The witnesses added that the occupation artillery fired a shell at them after they gathered, which led to the killing of at least seven of them and the injury of dozens.

In addition, six people, including children, were killed and others were injured with varying degrees in an occupation raid that targeted a gathering of citizens while they were trying to fill drinking water in the town of Jabalya.

In Jabalya refugee camp, four civilians were killed in an airstrike launched by an occupation drone on a group of citizens near al-Yaman Al-Sa'eed hospital.

In Gaza City, nine citizens were killed and dozens were injured in an occupation bombing that targeted a house belonging to Maqat family behind Shaikh Radhwan pond north of the city.

Three citizens were also killed and others were injured in an occupation bombing that targeted Ghazi Al-Shawwa school, which houses displaced people in the town of Bait 'Hanoun, north of the Strip.

The sources indicated that 41 people were killed in the occupation raids on the Gaza Strip since dawn today, 33 of them in the north of the Strip.

On October 6, the occupation forces began a ground aggression north of the Gaza Strip, besieged the entire area and prevented the entry of water, food and medicine supplies.

By October 20, 2024, the Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the Palestinian death toll from the Israeli onslaught since October 7 has risen to 42,603 reported fatalities, with an additional 99,795 individuals sustaining injuries. The majority of the victims are women and children.

According to the same sources, emergency services are still unable to reach many casualties and dead bodies trapped under the rubble or scattered on roads across the war-torn enclave, as Israeli occupation forces continue to obstruct the movement of ambulance and civil defense crews.

Several Palestinian farmers and international activists suffered from suffocation from toxic gas on Monday when they were attacked by the Israeli occupation forces and illegal Israeli settlers while picking olives in Bait Lid lands east of Toulkarm.

Al-Shitaiwi added that dozens suffered from suffocation from toxic gas, while the volunteers refused to leave the area and support the farmers, and continued to work in picking olives despite the occupation's threats.

This activity came at the invitation of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, the Bait Lid Municipality, the Fat'h Movement and the sports club in the town, as part of a campaign to support farmers in picking olives in their lands, especially those adjacent to the colonial outposts.

This year, the olive harvest season in the West Bank is witnessing repeated attacks by colonists and occupation forces, including burning and cutting down olive trees, stealing the crop, and preventing farmers from reaching their lands.

PCDS: What is happening in Jabalya is ethnic cleansing

Sunday 20-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The spokesman for the Palestinian Civil Defense Society (PCDS), Ma'hmoud Basal, said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation regime is seeking to completely evacuate the northern part of the Gaza Strip.

“What is happening in Jabalya is ethnic cleansing and destruction of all the necessities of life,” Basal said.

Basal pointed to the continued Israeli bombing that targets dozens of homes in Jabalya, Bait Lahya, and Bait 'Hanoun, noting that the bodies of dozens of martyrs remain under the rubble of the destroyed homes.

Since October 5, the Israeli occupation army has been waging a war of extermination against northern Gaza, committing horrific massacres by bombing homes and shelters, demolishing and burning entire neighborhoods, and preventing the entry of food and water into the area.

This has resulted in hundreds of victims and wounded, with nearly complete disruption of ambulance and civil defense operations due to being targeted by Israeli forces or being prevented from performing their duties.

UNRWA's media officer says Israel rejected urgent request to evacuate people trapped under rubble in Gaza

NEW YORK, October 21, 2024 (WAFA) -

The media officer at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) Ienas 'Hamdan said that Israel rejected an urgent request submitted by the agency to evacuate those trapped under the rubble as a result of the genocide being committed in the northern Gaza Strip.

This came in statements made by 'Hamdan earlier today while famine is worsening in the northern Gaza Strip due to the Israeli genocide and the policy of ethnic cleansing that the Palestinian civilians there are being subjected to.

The UN official said: “Over the past two weeks, we have repeatedly warned that the tightening of the siege on Jabalya and the northern governorate in general is making the situation even more catastrophic, and the ongoing Israeli military operations are putting tens of thousands of civilians in imminent danger.”

"Moreover, the military offensive in northern Gaza is cutting people off from the necessities they need to survive, including water," she added.

'Hamdan warned that “Jabalya refugee camp has been under siege for more than two weeks, and we are receiving information about families trapped in their homes, with water and food running out, and images coming from the camp show residents running for their lives, with no safe place to go.”

Israeli war on Gaza destroys 250,000 housing units

Monday 21-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Ministry of Public Works in Gaza reported that more than a quarter of a million housing units have been completely or partially destroyed and are now uninhabitable due to the ongoing genocide against the enclave for over a year. The ministry said in press remarks on Monday that over 80% of the roads have been completely destroyed and need comprehensive rehabilitation.

These figures reflect the extent of the widespread destruction inflicted on the infrastructure in the Gaza Strip and highlight the enormous challenges that will face the reconstruction process in the future. Earlier, UN housing expert Balakrishnan Rajagopal confirmed that the brutality of the destruction in Gaza has not been seen in previous conflicts, whether in Ukraine or Syria. Rajagopal explained in a press statement that by January 2024, between 60% to 70% of all homes in Gaza had been destroyed, with the rate in North Gaza reaching 82%.

He said, “The situation is much worse now, especially in the north, where the destruction rate is nearing 100%,” noting that a recent report from the United Nations Development Program estimated that as of May, there were more than 39 million tons of debris in Gaza. He added, “The rubble is mixed with unexploded ordnance, toxic waste, asbestos from collapsed buildings, and other materials,” emphasizing that “groundwater pollution and soil contamination have reached a catastrophic level, to the extent that we do not know if they can be treated in time for people to return, at least within this generation.”

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation, with full American support, has been waging a genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, resulting in over 142,000 martyrs and wounded, the majority of whom are women and children, along with 10,000 missing under the rubble and in the streets, as Israeli occupation forces prevent rescue teams from reaching them. There has been massive destruction of infrastructure and a deadly famine. The northern Gaza Strip has been under heavy Israeli firepower for the past 17 days, amid killings, destruction, displacement, starvation, and direct targeting of hospitals in the largest ethnic cleansing operation and acts of genocide since the war began, resulting in over 500 martyrs. This assault is accompanied by cuts to communications and the internet, isolating 200,000 people from the outside world.

===============================================================================================================================

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
