Here are some initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip, based on the reliable data reported by the Palestinian Health Ministry:

By October 13, 2024, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 52,227+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (42,227), those who are still missing under the rubble (an estimate of at least 10,000+). 

By October 13, 2024, the documented injuries exceeded 98,464.

By October 13, 2024, 751 Palestinians who were killed, 5,832 who were injured, and 11,270, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023, including 310 women and 640 children (Some of the detainees have been released).

By October 13, 2024, according to initial reports, 23 Lebanese civilians were killed, 26 were injured, by the Israeli genocidal raids on Lebanon, in the past 24 hours. Thus, the Lebanese death toll, since October 8, 2023, has surged to 2,278 fatalities and more than 10,550 injuries.

Since September 23, 2024, the Lebanese death toll rose to 1,460 and the injuries to 4,149.

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

 After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

‎Lebanese Health: 16 martyrs in the final toll of the occupation raid on Al-Ma'aysrah ‎

18 Lebanese people killed and dozens Injured in ongoing Israeli genocidal airstrikes on Lebanon

BEIRUT, October 13, 2024 (WAFA) –

At least 18 people were killed and dozens injured in a series of airstrikes conducted by Israeli occupation forces across Lebanon on Saturday.

According to the Lebanese National News Agency, three individuals were killed and one critically injured when an Israeli airstrike targeted a civilian vehicle on the Qatrani road in the western Biqaa' region, east of the country.

Meantime, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that four people lost their lives and 18 others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Barja in Al-Shoaf district. 

Additionally, two more fatalities and four injuries were reported from an Israeli attack on Dair Bella in Batroun, while a strike on the town of Al-Mu'aysarah in the Kisruwan district resulted in nine individuals killed and 15 others injured.

Israeli occupation forces also launched strikes on several towns, including 'Haneen, Shaqra, 'Alma Al-Shab, Nakoura, and al-Mansouri, alongside artillery bombardments targeting the town of Al-Jabeen and the Marji'youn plain.

By October 12, 2024, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the ongoing Israeli aggression since October 8, 2023, has resulted in a staggering total of 2,255 fatalities and 10,524 injuries across the country.

Since September 23, Israel has expanded its military onslaught, intensifying its air assaults on various regions of Lebanon, including the capital, Beirut.

The Israeli occupation forces continued their widespread aggression against Lebanon, targeting villages in the south, Al-Biqaa', and Ba'albek-Hermil in recent hours.‎

‎In their latest attack on southern Lebanon, Israeli warplanes violated the sound wall in four batches at 4:15 a.m. (Beirut local time) over Al-Zahrani area north of the Litani River.‎

‎The occupation launched a raid on the town of Al-Ray'han and the Ma'hmoudiya area this afternoon.‎

‎The Israeli army fired a heavy artillery shell, which landed near a Lebanese army vehicle on the Kings Tower road in southern Lebanon, wounding 3 members of the Lebanese army, whose condition was described as stable, after which they were transferred to hospital for treatment, according to the National News Agency.‎

‎At about 3 p.m., Israeli warplanes renewed their air strikes for the second time on the town of Toul, targeting a building in the vicinity of the Bashir Mosque, and completely destroying it.‎

‎Israeli warplanes raided several towns in the Soor (Tyre) district, targeting: Hanawiyah, Al-Qal'eela, Al-Bazouriya, Yattar, Rashaf, and the vicinity of the towns of Bareesh and Ma'roub.‎

‎The warplanes also carried out a raid targeting the town of Sharqiya, and a residential building in the vicinity of Sheikh Raghib 'Harb Hospital in the town of Toll, completely destroying it, where ambulance and relief teams from the Red Cross, the Islamic Health Authority and the Message Scouts immediately went to the place, according to the official Lebanese news agency.‎

‎Also, at 2:12 p.m. today, hostile aircraft carried out an air raid targeting the area between the towns of Arnoun and Kafr Tibneet, and the warplanes carried out 4 raids on the town of Khiam on the border with occupied Palestine, and also the occupation aircraft launched 4 consecutive raids on Qana, two raids and on the sixtieth.‎

‎In turn, Israeli artillery targeted the outskirts of 'Alma Al-Sha'b and the town of Al-Dhuhair.‎

Gaza: Death toll surges to 42,227 martyrs

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army committed four massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, and killed and injured at least 180 civilians, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but at least 52 martyrs and 128 wounded citizens were transported to hospitals.

The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 42,227 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 98,464 people.

The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by the Hamas armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7, 2023.

Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters Day 373

In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 373rd consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians in the Gaza Strip, especially in the northern areas.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Saturday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

According to media sources, at least six civilians were martyred and others were injured following an Israeli attack on Block 1 in Al-Buraij refugee camp in central Gaza.

Rescuers from the civil defense service were able to evacuate bodies of three martyrs and seven survivors who were trapped in their homes in Al-Itisalat area in northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, Israeli tanks are reportedly besieging displaced families sheltering inside 'Hafsa and Al-Falouja Schools in northern Gaza, and opened fire repeatedly at the schools, injuring over 20 people.

The Israeli occupation army also attacked a number of civilians near the junction of 'Asqoula in Gaza City’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, killing one of them.

The Israeli occupation army bombed a house in Al-Tuffa'h neighborhood in Gaza City, injuring six people, mostly children.

At dawn, eight citizens (parents and their six kids) were martyred following an Israeli airstrike on their home in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in central Gaza.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

In a related context, the Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza said on Saturday that the Israeli army continued its tight siege on Jabalya and northern Gaza for the eighth consecutive day.

In a statement, PGMO added that the Israeli army still prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from recovering bodies of over 75 people in northern Gaza, pointing out that those victims were among 285 other civilians who had been killed by Israeli forces during the past eight days.

“The occupation army is committing massacres against humanity and practicing deliberate killings by bombing shelter centers. It has committed several horrific massacres against civilians through intentionally bombing gatherings of children and women,” PGMO said.

The PGMO called on the international community to intervene urgently to stop Israel’s war crimes in Jabalya and northern Gaza, affirming that the people there are facing a “crime of extermination.”

Israeli occupation forces airstrikes claim the lives of five children in Gaza

In a new Israeli massacre this evening, five Palestinian children were killed and several others were injured by Israeli airstrikes targeting the western part of the Al-Shati (Beach) refugee camp, located north of Gaza City.

Local sources indicated that an Israeli drone shelled a group of children playing near a Cafe in the Al-Shati refugee camp. The airstrike instantly killed the five children and left several others injured.

Since the escalation of hostilities on October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have continued their assault on the Gaza Strip from land, sea, and air. As of the latest reports, the ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 42,227 Palestinians and injuries to 98,464 others, the majority of whom are women and children. These figures remain preliminary, as many remain unaccounted for, trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings.

The ongoing Israeli occupation’s ground, sea and air offensive on the besieged enclave since October 7, 2023, resulted in the killing of more than 42,227 civilians, and the wounding of 98,464 others, mostly children and women.

Thousands of victims remain missing; either buried under the rubble or scattered on the roads, as rescue teams face tremendous difficulties in reaching them due to the continued Israeli attacks and the massive amount of debris.

Nine Palestinians killed in Israeli genocidal airstrikes across Gaza

GAZA, October 13, 2024 (WAFA) —

Nine Palestinians were killed this morning in a series of Israeli genocidal airstrikes targeting various locations across the Gaza Strip, including Dair El-Bala'h and Al-Bureij and Jabalya refugee camps.

According to local reports, Israeli warplanes struck a group of individuals east of Dair El-Bala'h, resulting in the murder of one person and injuries to several others.

In a separate incident, Israeli artillery shelling on Block 1 in Al-Bureij refugee camp claimed the lives of three local Palestinians and left additional casualties.

Furthermore, five more Palestinians were killed, and others injured, when Israeli warplanes targeted the Al-Ittisalat area west of Jabalya refugee camp.

The strike coincided with explosions heard from the Israeli army's demolition of dozens of homes in Jabalya and its surroundings, particularly in the Al-Saftay and Al-Tuwam neighborhoods.

By October 12, 2024, ,the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in 42,175 documented Palestinian fatalities, with an additional 98,336 individuals sustaining injuries, the majority of whom are women and children.

Eight family members killed in Israeli airstrike on house in Nuseirat refugee camp

GAZA, October 13, 2024 (WAFA) –

A devastating Israeli airstrike this morning targeted a home in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the murder of eight members of the Abu Ghali family. 

The victims, who had previously been displaced to the Abu Dlal residence for safety, included Walid Abu Ghali, his wife Shireen, and their six children: Mohammad, Ahmad, Yasmeen, Samah, Yara, and Tala. Their bodies were transported to Al-Awda Hospital for identification.

Simultaneously, the Israeli occupation army has been maintaining a strict blockade of the Jabalia refugee camp, northern Gaza, for eight days. Reports indicate that several homes have been destroyed using explosive drones, leading to fires breaking out across various areas of the camp amid continuous bombardments.

Local sources also reported a fire at the Abu Hashim family home caused by an Israeli missile strike near the Abdel Aal junction on Al-Jalaa Street northwest of Gaza City. 

Meantime, Israeli artillery shelling targeted homes in the Sikka area of the Zeitoun neighborhood, located southeast of Gaza City.

Over 11 Palestinians killed in a series of Israeli genocidal strikes across Gaza

GAZA, October 13, 2024 (WAFA) –

In a series of genocidal airstrikes conducted by Israeli occupation forces last night, at least 11 Palestinians were killed and several others injured in Al-Nusayrat and Jabalya refugee camps in the Gaza Strip. 

Medical sources reported that seven individuals lost their lives and many were injured when Israeli forces targeted a home in Al-Nusayrat refugee camp in central Gaza. 

Additionally, four more people were killed and others injured in Israeli strikes on the Jabalya refugee camp in the north. The casualty count is expected to rise as many of the injured are in critical condition.

Local sources also indicated that Israeli forces have erected earthen barriers on main roads between Gaza City and the North Gaza Governorate, effectively isolating the region as part of a continued ground offensive that has persisted for eight days.

Furthermore, reports suggest that Israeli forces have destroyed dozens of homes in Jabalya using explosive robots, resulting in significant casualties among both the deceased and wounded.

Prisoner Mu'hammed Mousa dies in Israeli detention

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said on Sunday that prisoner Mu'hammed Mousa, a 37-year-old from Bethlehem, died at the Soroka Hospital in Beer Al-Saba' (Beersheba).

According to a statement issued by the Commission and PPS, the Israeli occupation authority informed on Friday the Palestinian civil affairs office that prisoner Mousa died at the hospital on Friday.

Mousa, married with three kids, had been in detention since April 20, 2023. It was the first time he was kidnaped and jailed.

“Prisoner Mousa did not suffer from any chronic health problems before he was arrested. However, there was not enough information about the circumstances of his martyrdom,” the Commission and PPS said.

They underlined that different systematic crimes in Israeli jails, such as torture, medical neglect and starvation, were the main reasons for the martyrdom of 40 Palestinian detainees following the October 7th events, pointing out that prisoner Mousa is the 41st victim.

They accused the Israeli government and its far-right security minister Itamar Ben Gvir of giving explicit orders to practice systematic violations against the Palestinian prisoners with the aim of killing them.

Palestinian citizen injured by Israeli forces near Toulkarm

Toulkarm, October 13, 2024 (WAFA) —

A Palestinian citizen was injured by live fire from Israeli occupation forces on Sunday north of the city of Toulkarm in the occupied West Bank.

Ra-id Yaeen, the director of emergency medical services at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, reported that a 24-year-old man from Toulkarm sustained gunshot wounds to his legs as a result of the shooting by Israeli soldiers, which resulted in fractures.  

The injured individual was promptly transported to Thabit Governmental Hospital in Toulkarm for medical treatment.

IOFs kidnap pregnant woman from home in Al-Khaleel (Hebron)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped on Sunday afternoon a Palestinian pregnant woman from her house in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) province.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped Afnan Abu 'Husain from her home in Bani Na’eem town in eastern al-Khalil. She is nine months pregnant.

There are over 95 Palestinian women in the Israeli jail of Damon, including three from the Gaza Strip.

IOFs kidnap several Palestinians during West Bank raids

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped last night and at dawn Sunday a number of Palestinian citizens during raids in different West Bank areas, mainly in al-Khalil.

According to local sources, the IOFs kidnapped the father and brother of martyr A'hmed Abul-Hayja from their home in Kafr Dan town, west of Jineen, while resistance fighters detonated an explosive device at Israeli forces and clashed with them in Jenin City.

The IOFs also kidnapped a citizen and his son after raiding their home in Kafr Dan.

A teenager was also kidnapped during an IOFs raid in Silat Al-Harithiya town, west of Jineen. Armed clashes reportedly broke out between resistance fighters and Israeli soldiers in the town.

Another young man from Silat Al-Harithiya was kidnapped by the Israeli occupation forces at a checkpoint near Ramallah.

In Nablus, the Israeli occupation forces kidnapped a young man after ransacking his home in Bait Iba village.

A father and his son were also kidnapped by the IOFs in Burin town, south of Nablus.

The IOFs also carried out raids in the Old City of Nablus and Majdal Bani Fadhil town.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing a column of smoke rising from a street in the Old City of Nablus after an explosive device exploded at an IOFs vehicle.

In Qalqilya, Israeli occupation forces stormed a house and confiscated a car in Baqat Al-'Hatab town, east of Qalqilya.

In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), the IOFs kidnapped a young man from his home and handed relatives of another young man a summons for interrogation during a raid in Al-Saff street in the city.

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron), the Israeli occupation soldiers carried out violent raids on homes in Sa’ir town after smashing their doors.

Local sources in Sa’ir town said that the IOFs kidnapped at least 10 citizens from their homes.

IOFs raids on homes also took place in Bani Na’im town, east of Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

Meanwhile, the IOFs continued on Sunday to impose movement restrictions on Palestinian citizen across the West Bank, especially through blocking roads leading to citises, towns and villages.

On Saturday evening, violent clashes broke out between Palestinian citizens and Israeli occupation soldiers in Baita town, south of Nablus.

Local sources said that the soldiers fired rubber bullets and tear gas canisters at local residents during clashes with them in Baita town.

The Israeli occupation soldiers also assaulted yesterday olive farmers in 'Aseera Al-Shamaliya town in Nablus province and seized the olive crop that was collected.

A similar IOFs raid happened on the same day in Bait Fajjar town, south of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem). Several citizens suffered from their exposure to tear gas during clashes with Israeli occupation soldiers in the town.

Over 30 Palestinians kidnapped by Israeli authorities in 48 hours

RAMALLAH, October 13, 2024 (WAFA) —

Israeli occupation forces have kidnapped at least 30 Palestinians over the past two days in the occupied West Bank, including several former prisoners, according to the Palestinian Prisoner's Society (PPS) and the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.

This increase in detentions has been particularly concentrated in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) governorate, with additional kidnappings reported in Jenin, Bethlehem, Nablus, Qalqilia, and Ramallah, the two organizations added in a joint statement.

The joint statement noted that Israeli forces continue to carry out extensive raids and assaults during these detentions, subjecting detainees and their families to harassment and threats. The statement also highlighted the prevalence of field interrogations and the destruction of Palestinian homes during these attacks.

Since the start of the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people in October 2023, more than 11,200 Palestinians have been detained from the West Bank, including Jerusalem, according to the report.

The organizations expressed grave concern over the deteriorating situation and called for international attention to the continued human rights violations occurring in the region.

Israeli occupation postpones court hearing of Palestinian journalist Rasha 'Hirzallah until December 15

RAMALLAH, October 13, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime has postponed the court hearing of Rasha 'Hirzallah, a journalist with the Palestinian News and Information Agency (WAFA), pushing it back to December 15.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said the court session, originally set for October 13, has been postponed for the sixth time, citing Jewish holidays as the reason for the delay.

On August 11, the military court extended 'Hirzallah’s detention for the fifth time, with the next hearing originally scheduled for today.

'Hirzallah was initially summoned for interrogation by the Israeli intelligence on June 2, 2024, at the 'Huwwara detention center. Her detention was first extended for 72 hours, followed by another five days, before she was eventually transferred to Damon Prison.

A court session on June 10 extended her detention by two weeks, and a subsequent hearing on June 24 prolonged her imprisonment until August 11.

'Hirzallah is one of approximately 94 journalists detained since the outbreak of the current war on Gaza, with 53 still in custody. The latest detention was that of 'Hamza Ziyad, a journalist from Jenin, who was taken into custody earlier today.

Among the detainees are five female journalists, including 'Hirzallah.

Additionally, at least 16 journalists from Gaza have been identified among those detained, with 17 currently held under administrative detention, as reported by PPS.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) prevented on Sunday a number of Palestinian farmers from reaching their lands in southern Al-Khaleel (Hebron).

According to local sources, the IOFs barred farmers in Doura town from going to olive groves belonging to them in the areas of Khilat Taha and al-Abed to harvest crops.

In a separate incident, swaths of land caught fire in Tal village in western Nablus when Israeli soldiers showered local farmers with tear gas canisters.

Farmers said that they had to leave their olive groves, which started to flare up, because of the intensity of the tear gas attack.

Earlier in the morning, Israeli soldiers savagely assaulted a farmer from the same village as he was going to a grove to collect olives.

Israeli occupation forces prevent students from reaching their homes in 'Husan, chase others in Kisan

Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), October 13, 2024 (WAFA) —

Israeli occupation forces barred several students from the village of 'Husan, located west of Bethlehem, from reaching their homes and the end of the school day this afternoon.

Rami 'Hamamra, the head of the 'Husan village council, reported that the troops prevented students from passing through the eastern entrance of the village after sealing it off tightly.

Earlier in the day, Israeli forces had stormed 'Husan, leading to confrontations with residents. During these confrontations, the forces fired live ammunition and tear gas, forcing local shop owners to close their businesses.

Additionally, movement for vehicles and residents was severely restricted, further escalating tensions in the area.

Meantime, Israeli occupation forces chased students from the nearby village of Kisan as they made their way home after school.

A'hmed Ghazal, the secretary of Fatah in Kisan, reported that the troops pursued the students on the main road following the conclusion of their school day.

Ghazal further noted that Israeli occupation soldiers stormed the village, raiding several homes and subjecting residents to harsh interrogations.

Illegal Israeli settlers cut down olive trees in Qusra, south of Nablus

In a disturbing incident early Sunday morning, a horde of the illegal Israeli settlers cut down dozens of olive trees in the village of Qusra, located south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank.

Fou-ad 'Hasan, a local anti-settlement activist, stated that the attacks occurred in the eastern part of the village, following a similar attack in the area the previous day.

'Hasan detailed that colonists assaulted local farmers and olive pickers, forcibly expelling them from the region under the threat of violence, with the Israeli military present during the confrontations.

UN Special Rapporteur: The Israeli occupation forces are committing a new massacre in Jabalya, as we speak

Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967, said Israeli forces are committing another massacre in Jabalya, in the northern war-torn Gaza Strip.

“As we speak, write, tweet, sob: Israeli forces are committing another massacre in northern Gaza,” said the UN Special Rapporteur in a post on X.

“People in Jabalya are killed - both in groups and one by one - amid unspeakable cruelty and sadism by Israelis who have accepted to be "willing executioners" of a genocidal plan, with western-manufactured weapons and with Western support,” she said.

The Post read: “It blows my mind to think that we know what Israel is doing and all together, we cannot stop it. Looking at where we were 100 years ago, not much progress has been achieved.”

"Israel's" Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has sparked controversy with remarks suggesting his vision for an expanded "Jewish state" that could extend beyond Palestinian territories and into neighboring countries, including Syria.

The comments were made during an interview for a French-language documentary, "Israel: Extremists in Power", aired by Arte.

Smotrich expressed his desire for a "Jewish state" governed by "the values of the Jewish people," and when asked whether "Israel" aims to extend its current sovereignty—which stretches from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River—he responded with a smile, saying, "okay, bit by bit."

In a provocative statement, Smotrich also referred to religious texts, claiming that the future of occupied Al-Quds involves expansion "as far as Damascus."

Gantz throws fit of rage after CBS said al-Quds 'disputed'

Israeli opposition figure Benny Gantz is angered after learning that CBS News directed its staff not to refer to Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as Israeli.

Israeli Minister Benny Gantz strongly defended "Israel's" position on occupying al-Quds after reports surfaced that a senior CBS News executive advised staff not to refer to the city as part of the Israeli entity.

Gantz took to X (formerly Twitter) to assert, "Jerusalem's status is clear and undisputed – the eternal capital of the Jewish people. It has been so for millennia, and will always remain so. No attempt to distort or hide that reality will change it."

An August email saw Mark Memmott, CBS News' senior director of standards and practices, address the status of the occupied Palestinian city.

According to a report from the Free Press newsletter, Memmott instructed staff that while the US embassy is located in occupied al-Quds and the Trump administration recognized it as the occupation's capital, its status remains disputed.

He noted that occupied al-Quds is central to the Palestinian issue, with the Israeli regime claiming it as its "eternal and undivided" capital while Palestinians view it as the capital of a future state.

Growing violations in al-Quds 

In an opinion advisory on July 19, the president of the International Court of Justice, Nawaf Salam, confirmed that the ICJ is "not convinced" that the expansion of sovereignty in the West Bank and al-Quds is "justified," and considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank and al-Quds a violation of international law.

In this context, Salam stated that the ICJ sees "Israel" treating East al-Quds as part of its territory and that "Israel" applied its laws there after 1967, stressing that the Israeli occupation is obliged to end its presence in the occupied Palestinian territories as soon as possible.

The ICJ president discussed the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, explaining that the transfer of Israeli settlers into the West Bank or East al-Quds contradicts Article 49 of the Geneva Convention and that "Israel’s" confiscation of Palestinian lands and granting them to settlers is neither temporary nor in compliance with the Geneva Convention.

The ICJ emphasized that the expansion of settlements into the West Bank and al-Quds and the construction of the separation wall serve to reinforce the occupation authorities and emphasized that all new settlement activities must be halted.
