While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

By Al-Mayadeen English

October 10, 2024, at 22:22 pm Beirut local time

Israeli occupation airstrikes have escalated in Lebanon, targeting residential areas in Al-Biqaa' Valley, southern Lebanon, and, for the first time, Beirut's densely populated neighborhoods.

Israeli occupation forces struck residential buildings shown in the image in the Al-Karak region in Zahla District in Lebanon, on October 10, 2024. (Social media)

The Israeli occupation forces have committed a massacre by targeting residential buildings in the Al-Karak area of Zahla District, leading to a number of casualties. The bombardment campaign also extended to other areas in the Biqaa' Valley and South Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from the Israeli occupation's aggression on Lebanon has reached 2,169, with 10,212 wounded since October 8, 2023.

This death toll excludes the number of martyrs in the Israeli strikes on residential buildings in central Beirut.

Meanwhile, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent in Al-Biqaa' confirmed on Thursday that nine people were killed and 15 others were injured in the Israeli strike on residential buildings in Al-Karak, Zahla. Additionally, an Israeli genocidal airstrike targeted the town of Riyaq, in central Biqaa'.

The correspondent further reported that another Israeli airstrike hit the town of 'Housh Al-Sayyid, north of Al-Hermil district near the Syrian border.

In the southern region, Israeli occupation forces conducted airstrikes on the towns of Jabal Al-Butm, Debbeen, Zawtar Al-Gharbiya, and 'Ayta Al-Sha'b.

'Israel' attacks central Beirut

Later in the night, an Israeli occupation airstrike struck a building between the densely populated areas of Ras Al-Naba' and Al-Nuwairi in the heart of Lebanon’s capital, Beirut. According to Al-Mayadeen's correspondent, the airstrike targeted the third floor of an eight-story building, leading to multiple injuries, with many still trapped inside.

Ambulances rushed to the scene as fires raged and thick smoke billowed from the targeted building.

Shortly after the initial strike, Israeli occupation forces launched a second airstrike targeting the nearby Basta neighborhood, just meters from the first location. This raid struck a four-story building, which collapsed completely, according to reports from the scene.

Al-Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed that both strikes resulted in multiple casualties as many people remained trapped beneath the rubble. As such, the Lebanese Civil Defense teams continue their search and rescue efforts.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that 18 were martyred and 92 were injured in the Israeli attacks on Beirut

The attacks mark a significant escalation as they directly target densely populated areas of Beirut, highlighting the intensity of the Israeli aggression on the country.

Lebanon war: Israeli genocidal airstrikes on Soor (Tyre) and Al-Khiyam

Thursday 10-October-2024

BEIRUT, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continues its bloody war on Lebanon for the 18th consecutive day, launching more air and artillery strikes, as well as ongoing attempts to advance on the ground into towns and villages in southern Lebanon.

Four people were martyred and a fifth injured in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Budai, east of Baalbek.

This Thursday morning, Israeli warplanes carried out a series of airstrikes on the city of Al-Khiyam and an attack on the town of Qana in the Soor (Tyre) region of southern Lebanon. Additionally, Israeli warplanes struck the heights of the town of Janta near the Lebanese-Syrian border in eastern Lebanon.

They also targeted the town of Dhuhaira in the western sector of southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Civil Defense reported last night the martyrdom of five of its staff members in an Israeli airstrike on one of its centers in the town of Dardaghiya in the Soor (Tyre) district of southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that the number of casualties from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon has risen to 2,141 martyrs and 10,099 injured since the start of the occupation’s attacks on October 8 of last year.

Since September 23, Israel has been waging war on Lebanon through unprecedented airstrikes in intensity and bloodshed, targeting even the capital, Beirut, alongside a ground invasion that began in the south, disregarding international warnings and UN resolutions.

Since that date until Wednesday evening, Israel has killed 1,323 people and injured 3,698 others, including a large number of children and women, in addition to over 1.2 million displaced persons, according to the Lebanese government.

UN: 600,000 Lebanese internally displaced by the Israeli genocidal attacks on South Lebanon and the South Suburb of Beirut

Thursday 10-October-2024

BEIRUT, (PIC)

A top UN official warned Wednesday that Lebanon was suffering from a “catastrophic” humanitarian crisis as Israel’s ongoing genocidal attacks on civilian areas displaced 600,000 people, who lived in South Lebanon and the South Suburb of Beirut.

“Lebanon finds itself facing a conflict and a humanitarian crisis of catastrophic proportions,” Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, the UN special coordinator for Lebanon, told a briefing.

Hennis-Plasschaert expressed hope to see Israel respond to many calls and appeals that are out there for de-escalation.

A call by the US and France for a 21-day truce between Israel and Hezbollah “is still on the table,” she said, calling for enforcing a much-violated UN Security Council resolution.

“We need a realistic roadmap for the implementation, by both sides, of resolution 1701. And this must include clear implementation and enforcement mechanisms,” the UN official said.

“At the end of the day, it is the lack or non-implementation of resolution 1701 over the past 18 years that led to today’s harsh reality,” she told reporters.

“The joint call for a 21-day ceasefire, as launched by the US or led by the US and France, I think is still on the table and very relevant, so we should not dismiss it. I don’t think that new initiatives will add to it,” she added. “The many appeals and calls for a ceasefire are crystal clear. We need a window for diplomatic efforts to succeed.”

Israeli genocidal war on Gaza enters Day 370

Thursday 10-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

In the midst of catastrophic humanitarian suffering for more than two million Palestinians — half of them children, the Israeli occupation army continued, for the 370th consecutive day, to pound and target different areas and massacre more civilians.

Reporters for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said on Thursday that the Israeli occupation army carried out attacks on several homes, civilian targets and shelter centers in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, killing and injuring dozens of citizens.

According to media sources, two civilians, including a woman, were martyred and others were reported missing following an Israeli attack on a house in Al-Mawasi area in western Rafa'h, south of Gaza.

In northern Gaza, local sources said that the Israeli army opens fire at any citizen who tries to leave the camp, adding that at least eight citizens were shot dead and others were injured near the Abu Sharkh rotary in the west of the camp.

Israeli warplanes also bombed Al-Rimal Clinic in Gaza City, which shelters displaced civilians, killing at least six of them and injuring 15 others.

An Israeli artillery attack on civilians near the junction of Al-Saroukh in northern Gaza killed one of them and injured 15 others.

Another Israeli attack on a school sheltering displaced families in Dair El-Bala'h City in central Gaza massacred 28 citizens and injured dozens.

More casualties were reported in other areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial, artillery and shooting attacks last night and today.

As the war in Gaza is going through its second year, the Gaza Strip has become now unrecognizable, with most areas reduced to rubble. The Palestinian death toll exceeds 42,000 while over 97,800 people have been injured, a large number of them facing life-changing injuries. Thousands of people are estimated to be still buried under the rubble.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defense service said that the Israeli army continues to besiege northern Gaza and isolate it completely from Gaza City for the sixth day, adding that bodies of dozens of civilians are strewn on the streets of northern Gaza.

The Israeli army has been banning the entry of basic food supplies to northern Gaza since last Sunday as part of its renewed efforts to starve the remaining civilians living there, according to the civil defense service.

The Israeli siege forced the UN to shut down schools and hospitals in northern Gaza, while the World Health Organization accused the Israeli army of impeding UN missions trying to evacuate patients at several hospitals.

In new Israeli massacre: 28 martyrs, 92 wounded in Dair El-Bala'h

Thursday 10-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

At least 28 citizens were martyred, and 92 were injured on Thursday in a horrific massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) in the Rufaidah School, which shelters thousands of displaced people in Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip.

The PIC correspondent reported the arrival of more than 28 bodies of martyrs, most of them in pieces, in addition to dozens of injuries, in the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dair El-Bala'h after the IOFs bombed the school, which is sheltering thousands of the displaced.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza said that the Israeli occupation army committed a heinous massacre by bombing the Rufaidah school for the displaced in Dair El-Bala'h, which resulted in the martyrdom of 28 citizens and the injury of more than 92 others, most of whom children and women.

The PGMO added that the occupation army was aware that this school included thousands of displaced children and women who were forced to leave their homes under bombardment of their neighborhoods, adding that the army bombed the school at peak time when children and women were gathering to obtain their daily food portions.

This massacre brings the number of shelters and displacement centers that were bombed by the Israeli occupation army to 190, affecting hundreds of thousands of people who were forced to displace amid the ongoing genocidal war in the Strip.

The PGMO condemned the Israeli heinous massacre and called on the international community and all international and UN organizations to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to stop the genocide crime and the bloodshed in the Gaza Strip that claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

Israeli drone strike on Gaza’s Al-Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood kills 4

GAZA, October 10, 2024 (WAFA) –

An Israeli occupation army drone strike Thursday evening on Al-Shaikh Radhwan neighborhood, north of Gaza, killed four Palestinian civilians, according to WAFA correspondent.

He reported Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) paramedics saying that they evacuated the bodies of four victims and a number of casualties after an Israeli army drone targeted a group of people in the vicinity of Omar Mosque in the neighborhood.

The victims and the casualties were taken to the Arab Ahli Hospital in the city.

Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafa'h, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.

Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 42,065 Palestinians and injuring over 97,886 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafa'h near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

IOFs kidnap Palestinians, clash with youths during a raid on Toubas

Thursday 10-October-2024

TUBAS, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) kidnapped last night a number of Palestinian citizens and clashed with local youths during a raid in Fari’ah refugee camp in southern Tubas.

According to local sources, two IOFs bulldozers embarked on destroying the main road leading to Al-Fari’ah refugee camp before Israeli troops stormed the camp.

The sources added that Israeli occupation soldiers broke into and ransacked several homes and kidnaped some citizens, amid clashes with local youths and sounds of explosion.

The Red Crescent said that the IOFs opened fire at its ambulance center in the camp and demanded the employees and volunteers working there to leave it immediately.

WAFA news agency quoted Red Crescent paramedics as saying that Israeli occupation soldiers stormed the ambulance center in the camp and fired shots at the ground near their feet and above their heads and forced them to close the facility and leave the area.

Israeli soldiers also intercepted and searched an ambulance, prevented it from moving for one hour, verbally attacked the paramedics aboard it, and detained one of them for about three hours.

Israeli occupation forces kidnap minor from Nablus-governorate village

NABLUS, October 10, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Thursday evening kidnapped a Palestinian minor from the village of Qusra, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

They said that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the village, simultaneously while firing barrages of tear gas canisters and concussion guns towards the villagers.

In the course of the raid, the Israeli occupation soldiers kidnapped a minor.

There was no immediate information on any suffocation cases or casualties.

In the predawn hours of Thursday and Wednesday late night, the occupation forces rounded up at least 22 Palestinians in multiple raids across the West Bank.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Al-Dhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,900 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 240 children and 87 female prisoners.

This number includes 3,332 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

Mass arrest of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Al-Dhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.

Total reported kidnappings: 16.

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) demolished on Thursday the house of a Palestinian journalist in Al-Khaleel (Hebron) and stormed the archaeological site of Sebastia in Nablus.

According to local sources, the IOF bulldozed, for the second time, the house of journalist Khalid Khanna in al-Bas area near Shuyukh Al-'Arroub village, north of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), after forcing him and his family to evacuate.

In 2019, the Israeli army demolished the journalist’s house and another one belonging to his brother at the pretext of unlicensed construction.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces bulldozed over 10 dunums of land planted with vegetables and fruitful trees in Bait Ummar town, north of al-Khalil.

The IOF also stormed the ancient site of Sebastya in northern Nablus as part of repeated efforts to Judaize the area.

Sebastya is a mixture of structural remains and modern buildings and it is one of the oldest continuously inhabited places in the occupied West Bank.

It was once a major city, home to successive civilizations from its Arab Canaanite founders to the Romans and then its modern-day Palestinian inhabitants.

Both the major archaeological site above the village and the historic center of the town itself are still fascinating tourist attractions.

However, this unique ancient town is exposed to systematic attempts by the Israeli occupation state and its ministry of tourism to obliterate and Judaize its Arab history and identity.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime also prevents the Palestinian local authorities from carrying out any restoration or cleaning works at the historical site in the town.

Israeli occupation forces raided Toulkarm, destroy infrastructure

Toulkarm, October 10, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Israeli occupation forces Thursday evening raided the northern occupied West Bank city of Toulkarm and destroyed infrastructure, according to WAFA correspondent.

She said that the occupation forces, using two heavily armored bulldozers, barged their way into the city from the western entrance and made their way to the Nour Shams refugee camp, deployed in all of the camp entrances and cordoned it off, preventing the camp residents access into and out of it,

She added that the bulldozers ripped up parts of Nablus Street in the vicinity of the Saif Abu Libda Circle, as a drone hovered above the camp at a low altitude.

Meanwhile, the occupation forces deployed more army vehicles to 'Anabta town and Al-Sali'heen Mount in the refugee camp, passing through the Bal‘a Circle.

This is the latest move in a broader Israeli offensive, marked by almost daily arrests and killings, in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem since the onset of the Israeli genocidal aggression on Gaza on 7 October 2023, which resulted in the killing at least 42,065 Palestinians and injuring over 97,886 others.

Israeli occupation forces raid two southern West Bank towns, assault Palestinians

Al-Khaleel (Hebron), October 10, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Thursday evening raided and assaulted Palestinians in the Bait Ka'hil and Tarqoumya towns, west of the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), according to local sources.

They said that the occupation forces stormed Bait Ka'hil, deployed in the main streets and vicinity of houses, simultaneously while firing barrages of tear gas canisters towards the town residents. Nevertheless, there was no immediate information on any casualties or detention cases.

Meanwhile, the mayor of Tarqoumya, Mu'hammed Fatafta, said that the occupation forces barged their way into the town, deploying patrols in all neighborhoods, sealing off several streets, preventing the residents from moving, and holding some of them and beating them up.

The heavily armed soldiers showed up at many houses, muscled and wreaked havoc inside at a time when they occupied five houses, harassed the families and locked them inside.

Meanwhile, the occupation troops withdrew from the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, following a 15-hour-long incursion, which saw large-scale house-to-house raids, with soldiers breaking into houses, conducting thorough searches, occupying some houses and turning them into military outposts and interrogation centers, and beating up and subjecting many youths to long interrogation.

A similar raid was confirmed in the Doura Al-Qari‘ and 'Ain Yabrud villages, northeast of Ramallah, where a sizable army and police force indiscriminately opened live gunfire, trigging confrontations.

The Israeli occupation forces frequently conduct raids daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids are conducted without a search warrant whenever and wherever the military chooses, in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

Mish'al: Al-Aqsa Flood blocked Israeli scheme to demolish the Aqsa Mosque

Thursday 10-October-2024

DOHA, (PIC)

The head of the 'Hamas Movement abroad, Khalid Mish'al, said the Al-Aqsa Flood battle has blocked the Israeli demolition project against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, confused Israeli occupation authorities, restored the spirit of the nation and of the Palestinian people, exposed the ugly face of Israel to the entire world, and inflicted great strategic effects.

Mish'al explained in an interview with Al-Arabi satellite channel on Wednesday night that the Palestinians paid a heavy price, stressing that his Movement was exerting all in its power to halt the aggression on its people.

The 'Hamas leader praised the popular incubator of the Palestinian resistance, stressing that resistance forces are fighting for the people and in defense of them.

He underlined that his Movement is engaged in Gaza ceasefire negotiations through Egyptian and Qatari mediators as well as international mediators, warning that the one who is disrupting negotiations is the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government, Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mish'al revealed that Egypt had earlier submitted a proposal and Hamas agreed to it, stipulating for establishing a national unity government that would include technocratic ministers of competent figures to manage the Palestinian situation in Gaza and the West Bank, but some parties did not accept this formula.

He stressed that Hamas and the Palestinian factions do not accept any interference from anyone in arranging the Palestinian house, considering this a purely Palestinian national affair.

The H'amas senior official stressed that the resistance and the support forces have lost many prominent leaders in Israeli various assassination operations, but Israel is now facing fierce battles in southern Lebanon, stressing that “the Zionist Israeli project aimed at expansion in the region will definitely fail.”

“The Zionist project infringes on the Arab national security, and it is only logical that the Arab nation must fight against it,” he said, adding that the Arab nation must not leave Gaza alone in this confrontation, in light of the imbalance of power.

'Hamas: Rufaidah School massacre an extension of Israeli genocide in Gaza

Thursday 10-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas Movement has said that the “brutal Israeli massacre committed in Dair El-Bala'h is an extension of the Israeli crimes committed over the course of a year of genocide in the Gaza Strip.”

In a statement on Thursday, Hamas added that the Israeli occupation army committed a horrific massacre in the Rufaidah school, despite being crowded with thousands of displaced people in the city of Dair El-Bala'h in central Gaza Strip, and at the same time the fascist Israeli army is besieging northern Gaza and torturing and killing civilians there.

'Hamas stressed that the Israeli massacres and crimes committed in Rafa'h and northern Gaza, especially in Jabalya, are being carried out under the US cover as part of the Israeli ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people.

'Hamas reiterated the Palestinian people’s questions about the role of the international community and the United Nations, and all its institutions, headed by the UN Security Council.

The 'Hamas statement also questioned the role of the Arab and Islamic countries, wondering why are they not taking immediate measures to stop the unprecedented Israeli violations of international and humanitarian laws.

'Hamas stressed that the continuation of the massacres in full view of the world, which is not moving a finger, represents a suspicious behavior that portends the complete collapse of the international system with all its foundations, laws, and values.

According to data from the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, targeting school shelters has escalated since last August, bringing the number of bombed schools to 21, by September 21, 2024, while the total number of shelters targeted since the beginning of the genocidal war has reached 180 centers.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation army has been waging with unlimited US support, its war of genocide on Gaza, resulting in more than 139,000 martyrs and wounded, most of whom women and children, and 10,000 missing under the rubble and on the roads, as well as massive infrastructure destruction.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime seizes land of UNRWA Headquarters in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), to transform it into an illegal settlement outpost

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), October 10, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Israeli occupation apartheid regije announced the seizure of the land of UNRWA's main headquarters in Al-Shaikh Jarra'h neighborhood of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), in order to build 1,440 illegal settlement housing units.

This decision is part of the occupation’s ongoing escalation against the UN relief agency, including attempts to pass bills aimed at delegitimizing and criminalizing its activities.

This decision follows the approval of a draft bill by the Israeli Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, that aims to sever ties between Israel and UNRWA. The bill, which is expected to be put to a second and third reading next week, is part of a series of bills proposed by several Knesset members to restrict the agency's activities.

According to the bill, the 1967 agreement that allowed UNRWA to operate in Israel would be revoked, and thus the agency's activities would cease, and any contact between Israeli officials and its staff would be prohibited.

The bill also provides that diplomatic visas will not be granted to UNRWA staff.

The Israel Land Authority has issued an eviction order against the UNRWA premises in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), under the pretext that the land was being used without its approval, mandating it to pay tens of millions of shekels in back rent for the years it occupied the property.

In recent months, illegal Israeli extremist settlers have organized a series of protests outside the agency's headquarters, demanding its closure. Colonists set fire to the perimeter of the UNRWA Headquarters, amid ongoing incitement by colonists and senior Israeli officials against the agency.

UN Commission finds war crimes and crimes against humanity in Israeli attacks on Gaza health facilities and treatment of detainees

GENEVA, October 10, 2024 (WAFA) -

Israel has perpetrated a concerted policy to destroy Gaza’s healthcare system as part of a broader assault on Gaza, committing war crimes and the crime against humanity of extermination with relentless and deliberate attacks on medical personnel and facilities, the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), and Israel said in a new report today.

“Israel must immediately stop its unprecedented wanton destruction of healthcare facilities in Gaza,” said Navi Pillay, Chair of the Commission. “By targeting healthcare facilities, Israel is targeting the right to health itself with significant long-term detrimental effects on the civilian population. Children in particular have borne the brunt of these attacks, suffering both directly and indirectly from the collapse of the health system.”

Regarding the detention of Palestinians in Israeli military camps and detention facilities, the report found that thousands of child and adult detainees, many of whom were arbitrarily detained, have been subjected to widespread and systematic abuse, physical and psychological violence, and sexual and gender-based violence amounting to the war crime and crime against humanity of torture and the war crime of rape and other forms of sexual violence.

PGMO: IOF blocks fuel entry into north Gaza’s hospitals

Thursday 10-October-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) blocked fuel trucks intended for hospitals in Gaza City and North Gaza for the fifth time, the Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza reported.

The PGMO warned that all hospitals and Ministry of Health facilities are facing imminent shutdown within the next 24 hours due to the continued fuel supply disruption.

The Office has stressed that this blockade represents a grave crime committed by the Israeli occupying army, aimed at dismantling the healthcare system and hospitals, particularly in the Gaza and northern governorates.

“This act unfolds against the backdrop of an already devastated health sector, threatening the well-being of 700,000 residents in these areas.”

It held the Israeli occupation and the US administration responsible for the continued and deliberate assault on the healthcare system, executed as part of a carefully orchestrated plan crafted by both parties.

The Office urged the international community and all UN and international organizations to take immediate action to facilitate the fuel entry into the northern governorates, warning that without prompt intervention, all hospitals and health facilities in northern Gaza risk shutting down entirely.

For the sixth consecutive day, the Israeli occupation continues to besiege the Jabalya refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, amid intense and ongoing airstrikes that have resulted in dozens of martyrs and wounded.

Lazzarini: 400,000 people trapped in northern Gaza

Thursday 10-October-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said on Wednesday that more than 400,000 people are trapped in the northern Gaza Strip, amid the latest Israeli offensive.

Lazzarini added, on X, that “no end to hell in northern Gaza. At least 400,000 people are trapped in the area. Recent evacuation orders from Israeli occupation forces are forcing people to flee “again and again,” especially from Jabalya refugee camp, noting that many are refusing because they know very well that there is no safe place in Gaza.

He explained that UNRWA shelters are being forced to shut, some for the first time since the Israeli war began on the Gaza Strip a year ago.

He pointed out that hunger is spreading and deepening again in the northern Gaza Strip with almost no basic supplies available.

He pointed out that “children are, as ever, the first and most to suffer,” saying that the recent military operation also threatens the implementation of the second phase of the polio vaccination campaign.

With full US support, Israel has been committing genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 139,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and thousands missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of dozens of children, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

In absolute disregard of the international community, the Israeli occupation army continues its massacres in Gaza, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop the aggression immediately, and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide.

===============================================================================================================================

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verbs "abduct" and "kidnap" than the verbs "detain" and "arrest," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.
