Here are some initial (not final) statistics, which show the Israeli war crimes against humanity, during the current Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip:  

By January 11, 2024, the initial death toll of Palestinians who have been killed by the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza Strip is 30,469+.   

This includes the accounted for deaths (23,469) and those who are still missing under the rubble (Corrected on December 23, 2023: 7,000+).   

By January 11, 2024, the documented injuries exceeded 59,604, and more than 2,520 civilians have been abducted from Gaza Strip.

By January 4, 2023, the death toll included 9,730+ children and 6,830+ women. 

By January 11, 2024, there were 344 Palestinians who were killed, 3,597 who were injured, and 5,792, who were abducted by Israeli occupation forces in the West Bank, since October 7, 2023.

About 12,091 Palestinians, from both the West Bank and Gaza, have been detained in 2023. About half of them were detained after October 7. This included 1,085 children and 300 women.

The total number of detainees in the occupation prisons until the end of December was 8,800, and the number of administrative detainees was 3,291.

By January 9, 2023,  there was a complete destruction of 69,000+ housing units, and a partial destruction of 290,000+ housing units (60% of Gaza housing units). This forced about 1.5 million people to become homeless, taking refuge in crowded UN schools and ultimately sleeping in the streets.  

The Israeli refusal to allow international aid caravans to enter Gaza freely led the Palestinian population to be on the verge of mass extermination for the lack of food, water, medicine, and fuel.  

By January 9, 2024, 326 health personnel and 97 journalists were killed and hundreds were injured, 121 ambulances were destroyed while on duty, killing and injuring their crews, and destroyed 150 health institutions. As a result of the strikes and lack of fuel, 30 hospitals and 53 primary care centers are not functioning. In addition, 99 health personnel have been abducted by the invading Israeli occupation forces.

Meanwhile, 134 government offices and 95 schools and universities were completely destroyed, while 295 schools and universities were partially damaged.

138 mosques were completely destroyed, while 240 others were partially damaged, in addition to three churches.

"وَمَنْ يَقْتُلْ مُؤْمِنًا مُّتَعَمِّدًا فَجَزَاؤُهُ جَهَنَّمُ خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَغَضِبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَعَنَهُ وَأَعَدَّ لَهُ عَذَابًا عَظِيمًا" (النِّسَاءُ ، 4: 93).

While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

South African president: I have never felt as proud as I felt today

South Africa’s president, Cyril Ramaphosa, said that he was pleased with how his country’s legal team argued its case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Israel for committing genocide in Gaza.

“I have never felt as proud as I felt today when our legal team was arguing our case in The Hague,” said Ramaphosa, addressing the Women’s League of his ruling African National Congress (ANC) party.

Ramaphosa said his country had put together a strong team of lawyers to represent South Africa’s case at the top UN court in The Hague, the Netherlands.

“When our lawyers were defending our case in The Hague, when I saw Ronald Lamola, a son of this land, presenting our case in court, I have never felt as proud as I do today.”

Ramaphosa said, “Some people say that the step we are taking is risky. We are a small country, and we have a small economy. They can attack us, but we will stand by our principles. As the father of our democracy taught us, we will not be truly free until the Palestinian people are free.”

South Africa filed its case at the ICJ in December, saying that Israel violated the 1948 Genocide Convention.

It filed an 84-page document with the court detailing acts amounting to genocide in Gaza.

The court heard South Africa’s arguments on Thursday and will hear Israel’s response on Friday.

Many legal experts across the world said Thursday that South Africa’s legal team presented a strong case backed by evidence.

South Africa: Israel failed to disprove genocide lawsuit before ICJ

THE HAGUE, Friday, January 12, 2024 (WAFA) –

South Africa's Minister of Justice, Ronald Lamola, stood firm today outside the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague, maintaining that Israel has failed to refute South Africa's lawsuit accusing the occupying regime of committing the crime of genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

"The State of Israel today has failed to disprove South Africa's compelling case that was presented before the ICJ yesterday. We stand by the facts, the law, and all the evidence we have submitted," Lamola asserted. Despite Israel's defense today, South Africa maintains its belief that Israel is acting in violation of the Genocide Convention.

"There is nothing justifying the way Israel wages war on Gaza. Self-defense does not justify genocide," Lamola continued. "We are confident that we have presented a comprehensive case, and Israel attempted to demonize us. The United Nations itself acknowledged the obstruction of relief missions in Gaza, and the only solution is to stop the war."

Lamola expressed his confidence that the International Court of Justice will compel Israel to take interim measures to halt the war on Gaza. The ICJ resumed its sessions on Friday, hearing Israel's response to South Africa's accusations.

In Thursday's initial session, South Africa submitted a meticulously compiled 84-page dossier, presenting evidence of Israel's deliberate killing of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza. The focus was on South Africa's request for urgent measures compelling Israel to suspend its military offensive.

The legal action taken by South Africa against Israel has garnered significant support globally, challenging Israel's actions as an occupying force. Lamola expressed gratitude for international support, emphasizing that South Africa seeks justice for the Palestinian people.

Ghattas commended South Africa's efforts to hold Israel accountable for its genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza before the International Court of Justice.

Palestinian Premier applauds South Africa's lawsuit against Israel for its genocide of Palestinians

RAMALLAH, Thursday, January 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

Palestinian Prime Minister, Mu'hammed Ishtayyah expressed today his gratitude for South Africa's legal action in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against Israel for committing the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Addressing a gathering in Nelson Mandela Square in Ramallah, Ishtayyah commended South Africa for taking a bold step, as he spoke on behalf of the Palestinian leadership, the factions of the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian nation as a whole.

"Today, Israel stands accused before the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court. It is accused on the streets of South Africa, London, Paris, Berlin, Washington, Madrid, and Brussels. Israel is accused by every free and honorable Arab, African, and every free human being on this earth," stated the Prime Minister.

Ishtayyah questioned whether killing 23,000 people in Gaza, cutting off water, electricity, and medicine, and attempting to kill 60,000 people and demolishing 271,000 homes constituted genocide.

He asserted that "those who support Israel in committing murder are criminals," emphasizing that "Israel was built upon the crimes it committed against the Palestinian people from Dair Yaseen to Tantura, Dawaima, and Gaza."

He went on to say, "The indictment against Israel was signed by South African President Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa with the ink of Nelson Mandela's legacy, Desmond Tutu, and Steve Biko. Colonialism, settlement, and the apartheid system that lasted from 1640 to 1994 in South Africa were defeated."

"Here we are facing genocide, destruction of homes, uprooting of trees, settler terrorism, a racist apartheid system, claims of racial superiority, forced displacement attempts, land annexation, and military occupation. Despite all this, we will triumph and achieve our right to self-determination," Ishtayyah continued.

Expressing gratitude to Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Nicaragua, Chile, Bangladesh, Turkey, Malaysia, Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, and Djibouti for supporting South Africa's request, the premier urged the world to follow South Africa's path, moving from condemnation to sanctions.

He called for an end to the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, the war of genocide, hunger, thirst, and slow killing.

Standing in front of the statue of Nelson Mandela, he declared, "Long live Palestine, long live South Africa, long live the friendship between nations, and surely we will triumph. Borrell criticizes statements by Israeli officials inciting displacement of Palestinians

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, has criticized recent statements from Israeli government officials calling for making life difficult for residents of Gaza in an effort to compel them to leave.

In a tweet on X, Borrell said, "Declarations by some Israeli government representatives about making life impossible for civilians in Gaza ultimately forcing them to leave are disturbing, counterproductive, and dangerous."

GMO: Israel deliberately uses genocide and starvation to displace the Palestinian people

The Palestinian Government Media Office (GMO) said, in a statement on Wednesday, that Israel is pursuing policies of genocide, starvation, and bombing homes and property on purpose to force the Palestinian people out of the Gaza Strip.

The GMO said that Israeli Minister of Communications Shlomo Karhi announced, once again, Israel’s true goal behind waging the genocidal war in the Gaza Strip mainly to displace and expel the Palestinian people out of the Gaza Strip and out of Palestine.

It quoted the Israeli minister as saying, “Israel must enforce a precise practical plan following the policies of genocide, starvation, water cut off, massive destruction, placing more pressure on the Palestinians, creating a repellent environment, and imposing difficult conditions in order to achieve the goal of displacing Palestinians out of their homeland.”

The GMO reiterated that the Israeli malicious displacement plans will never succeed because the Palestinian people are adamant on maintaining their land, sanctities, and just cause, and are willing to sacrifice their souls and everything they possess for the sake of freedom and return.

The GMO called on the international community, the US and all Arab and Muslim countries to denounce Israeli heinous atrocities and displacement plans and to put pressure on Israel to stop its genocidal war against the Palestinian people.

UNRWA: Over 85% of the population in Gaza have been displaced

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Wednesday that up to 1.9 million people, or over 85 per cent of the population, have been displaced across the Gaza Strip.

The UNRWA added in a statement that nearly 1.4 million internally displaced persons were sheltering in 155 UNRWA facilities across all governorates of the Gaza Strip. The total number of UNRWA employees killed since the beginning of hostilities is 146, it added.

The ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip has led to the martyrdom of 23,357 people and the injury of 59,410 others, in addition to the destruction of vast areas of the Gaza Strip, leaving over 85% of its population displaced and a quarter of the population facing famine.

Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in Ghazza (Gaza) by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces

On January 11, 2024, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qidra, the Spokesperson of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the Israeli genocidal air strikes and bombardment on Gaza Strip resulted in 12 massacres, in which  112 Palestinian civilians were killed, and 194 were injured, in the past 24 hours. Health Ministry: 23,469 Palestinians killed in 97-day aggression

The death toll of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip climbed to 23,469 victims, the Palestinian Health Ministry revealed on Thursday evening.

59,604 people were further injured during the Israeli attacks, the ministry added. 70% of the reported victims were women and children.

Spokesman for the Health Ministry, Ashraf al-Qidra, pointed out that the Israeli occupation deliberately destroyed entire neighborhoods and civilian and health facilities and committed crimes of genocide and mass executions in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation army committed, over the past 24 hours, 10 massacres in the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing of at least 112 civilians and the injury of 194 others.

Hundreds of victims are still missing under the rubble, al-Qidra said.

Al-Qidra further noted that 337 medical staff were killed during the attacks, while 99 others were detained.

The occupation put 30 hospitals and 53 health centers out of service, partially destroyed 150 health institutions, and completely destroyed 121 ambulances.

According to the health ministry, 6,200 injured people are in need of travel for treatment, while 10,000 cancer patients are at risk of death.

Since Oct. 7, the Israeli occupation army has launched a bloody aggression on the Gaza Strip, causing a severe humanitarian and health catastrophe.

US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza enters day 97

As the US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip entered day 97 on Thursday, massive aerial and artillery strikes continued to pound neighborhoods and homes and massacre more civilians, mostly children and women.

A reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) said that the Israeli occupation army continued to attack different areas of Gaza last night and on Thursday morning, killing and injuring a number of citizens.

According to local sources, seven civilians were killed and 25 others were injured, including children, when the Israeli army bombed a house belonging to the family of Abu Namous in Khan Younus refugee camp.

The Israeli army also killed five civilians and injured others when they bombed a gathering of displaced families in 'Oreiba area in the north of Rafa'h.

Other casualties were reported in different areas of Gaza following Israeli aerial and artillery attacks.

Nine Palestinians murdered in an Israeli genocidal airstrike on Rafa'h

RAFAH, Thursday, January 11, 2024 (WAFA) –

At least nine civilians were killed and several others were injured tonight in an Israeli airstrike targeting a residential home in the Shawka neighborhood, east of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its teams transported nine casualties following the Israeli assault on the Abu Seneima family home in the neighborhood. The Israeli raid reduced the house to rubble upon the heads of its civilian occupants.

Over 23,500 Palestinians, the overwhelming majority of whom are innocent civilians, have been confirmed killed since the beginning of the Israeli genocide campaign on the enclave on October 7. Over 56,000 others have been injured, while nearly 8,000 people remain unaccounted for.

Israeli genocidal airstrikes claim lives of at least 8 civilians in Khan Younus

GAZA, Thursday, January 11, 2024 (WAFA) -

At least 8 Palestinian civilians were killed this evening following an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in the Al-Manara neighborhood of Khan Younus, in the southern Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

WAFA correspondent said Israeli fighter jets launched an airstrike on the vehicle and another on a group of civilians attempting to rescue the injured, resulting in the tragic deaths of 8 individuals.

Additionally, Israeli occupation forces targeted the Hassan building near Jalal Street in Khan Yunis, which houses commercial facilities. 

Earlier today, multiple civilians, including women, children, and elderly individuals, were killed as Israeli airstrikes hit a residential apartment in the Sabra neighborhood of Gaza City.

Furthermore, the Israeli occupation forces carried out airstrikes on Beit Hanoun city in northern Gaza, focusing in the vicinity of the shelters housing displaced families.

Killing and Injuring of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces

IOF shoots, kills Palestinian ex-prisoner inJineen raid

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) shot and killed a Palestinian ex-prisoner after breaking into Jaba' town, south of Jenin, on Thursday evening.

The Palestinian Red Crescent affirmed that its crews received a martyr in Jaba' town, near Jineen.

Local sources also confirmed that the IOF assassinated a leader in the Jaba' battalion in clashes that broke out during the Israeli raid.

The martyr was identified as Majdi Fashafshah, who was killed after he ran out of ammunition during the clashes.

The IOF also shot and injured several other young men and assaulted the wounded Islam Ghannam.

The Red Crescent said a man was transferred to a hospital suffering from gunshot injuries.

Since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, more than 343 Palestinians were killed in the occupied West Bank, 83 of whom were from Jineen.

Palestinian shot by IOF in Ramallah dies of injury

A Palestinian young man was pronounced dead on Wednesday evening after he succumbed to a serious bullet injury he sustained on Tuesday when the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at local youths in Ramallah.

The young man was identified as 25-year-old Fahim Al-Khateeb, from Baitounia town in Ramallah.

Al-Khateeb suffered a serious bullet injury in his abdomen during clashes with Israeli forces in 'Ain Misba'h neighborhood of Ramallah City.

The clashes started after the IOF stormed the neighborhood at dawn Tuesday to kidnap Mu'hammed Majid and his father, both ex-detainees, from their home.

Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli occupation forces have killed 342 Palestinian citizens in the West Bank.

IOF kidnaps Palestinians, bulldozes lands and structures in W. Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) kidnaped at dawn Thursday a number of Palestinian citizens and bulldozed swaths of Palestinian-owned land and structures in the West Bank.

According to local sources, the IOF kidnaped six citizens from Jineen City, amid violent clashes with local youths.

The IOF reportedly broke into and ransacked several homes, confiscated money and gold jewelry, and bulldozed roads and infrastructure in Jenin.

For long months, Israeli forces have been going on the rampage through Jineen City, its towns and villages, destroying private and public property, pillaging homes, confiscating money and personal belongings and detaining citizens. Dozens of citizens were either killed or injured during its campaigns.

The IOF also stormed other areas of Jineen at dawn, including al-Yamoun town and the villages of Dair Abu Da’if, Bait Qad, 'Arrana and Jalamah, and carried out a large-scale search campaign, with no reported arrests.

In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), three citizens were reportedly taken prisoners during IOF raids on homes in the refugee camps of Al-Duhaisha, Azza and Aida.

Local sources in Al-Duhaisha camp reported that Israeli soldiers maltreated elderlies, children and women during violent raids on homes, including members of al-Zawahra family who were forced to stay outdoors in the rain and cold.

The IOF also kidnaped two citizens from 'Anabta town in Tulkarm, two others from Beita town and Qaryout village in Nablus and another one from Silwad town in Ramallah.

The detainee from Qaryout village was identified as chief of the village council Nidhal Badawi.

In another context, the IOF bulldozed on Wednesday six dunums of land belonging to the al-Khalil municipality in Tel Rumeida neighborhood in al-Khalil City.

Al-Khaleel mayor Tayseer Abu Sunaina told WAFA news agency that Israeli heavy machinery bulldozed swaths of land planted with 50 fruitful olive trees, adding that the Israeli army set up an iron gate at the entrance of the land.

Abu Snaina appealed to the international community to intervene to foil Israel’s plans to Judaize al-Khalil City.

In a separate incident, the IOF bulldozed two dunums of land belonging to Palestinian citizens in Khalayel Al-Loaz area in the southeast of Bethlehem and demolished two commercial facilities in Kifl Hares town in the northwest of Salfeet.
