While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

UNRHR, Albanese: Israel is still practicing ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip, West Bank and Al-Quds (Jerusalem)

Thursday 8-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The United Nations Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, said on Wednesday that Israel has never respected the international law and has been allowed to violate it since 1967. It is still carrying out acts of ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The famine suffered by the residents of the Gaza Strip is unparalleled in the whole world, she said, stressing the necessity of taking all required measures to prevent genocide in Gaza.

Albanese said, in a press statement, “the more aid and ceasefire are delayed, the greater the number of casualties in the Gaza Strip will be.”

She accused Israel of ignoring International Court of Justice’s ruling by killing more civilians everyday in Gaza, calling on world countries to put pressure on Israel by halting mutual commercial trades.

Albanese said she was shocked to know that member states of the International Court have recently attacked UNRWA, noting that the international community is capable of stopping the ongoing massacres carried out by Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation’s ongoing aggression on the blockaded Gaza Strip has so far led to the martyrdom of 27,708 people and the injury of 67,147 others, in addition to the enforced displacement of more than 85 percent (about 1.9 million people) of the Strip’s population, according to official authorities and international bodies and organizations.

Euro-Med: Israel’s starvation policy will irreversibly affect Gazans

Thursday 8-February-2024, GENEVA, (PIC)

The Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor has warned that Israel’s starvation campaign in the Gaza Strip will have “long-term and irreversible effects” on the civilian population, pointing to international reports saying that the number of famine victims may exceed the death toll of those who were directly killed by Israel’s military attacks on Gaza, which has been ongoing since last October.

This came in a policy paper released by Euro-Med on Gaza as a “potential famine zone,” in which the organization provided an analysis of the catastrophic food situation in the war-torn coastal enclave and highlighted the indicators that signal the beginning of famine, especially in the northern governorates.

The paper was based primarily on reports issued in this regard by competent international bodies, most notably the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC).

Lima Bustami, director of the legal department at Euro-Med, said that the truckloads of aid that enter Gaza every once in a while do not meet the minimum level of the population’s basic needs in light of their exposure to severe, continuous and accumulated deprivation of food, drinking water and medicine due to the tight Israeli blockade.

Bustami also pointed out that the population “is facing inhumane conditions, genocide, and a complete cut-off of electricity, water and fuel supplies.”

“The situation is becoming more complicated because the residents of the Gaza Strip are besieged from all sides, which prevents them from producing their needs locally in order to survive or obtaining food from other sources,” the Euro-Med official said.

Euro-Med’s paper referred to the conclusions of a report issued by IPC which says that Gaza has the highest share of people facing high levels of acute food insecurity that has ever been identified in any given area or country.

By next February 7, about 53 percent of Gaza’s population will be facing acute malnutrition, while 26 of them (about half a million people) will suffer from famine and an increase in deaths resulting from hunger, malnutrition or pertinent health issues, according to the paper.

UN chief warns UNRWA cannot be replaced

NEW YORK, Thursday, February 8, 2024 (WAFA) –

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterress warned today that his the UN Palestinian refugee agency (UNRWA) cannot be replaced.

Several countries -- including the United States, Britain, Germany and Japan -- have suspended funding to the UNRWA, and Guterres has led talks with donor countries to have payments reinstated.

"No other organization has a meaningful presence inside Gaza -- and nothing compared with this situation. So there is no other organization that would be able now to replace" it, Guterres told a media briefing.

Guterres pointed to the cost effectiveness of UNRWA as he defended why it was the best-placed organization to continue to deliver aid to Gaza.

"The costs with UNRWA are much lower than the costs with other agencies for historical reasons. The salaries paid by UNRWA are one-third of the salaries paid by UNICEF or WFP or other UN organizations," Guterres said.

"So any attempt of replacement, that is not possible."

On a similar context, the number of Palestinian detainees has risen to 6,920 since October 7, 2023, after the Israeli occupation army abducted 20 Palestinians during its raid and arrest campaigns in several governorates in the West Bank.

A joint statement by Commission of Detainees’ and Ex-Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society, said on Thursday that “the total number of Israeli arrests after October 7 rose to about 6,920, including those arrested from homes and military checkpoints as well as those who were forced to turn themselves in under threat and those who were held hostage.”
