While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

PRCS warns of humanitarian disaster at al-Amal hospital

Monday 5-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) warned of a humanitarian disaster at al-Amal hospital after 14 days of continuous Israeli siege.

The PRCS also warned of the depletion of food supplies for displaced families, saying that the available fuel is sufficient for only one week to operate the hospital.

Some medical supplies and medicines are in zero stock, with a significant shortage of essential drugs for chronic diseases, it added.

It further pointed out that two displaced individuals were injured by gunfire in the vicinity of Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Younus.

Since October 7, Israel has waged a devastating war on the Gaza Strip, which has left thousands of people killed and an enormous humanitarian catastrophe and a major health and environmental disaster.

Human rights institutions warn of the Israeli attack on Rafa'h and a new Nakba

Monday 5-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

Three Palestinian human rights institutions have warned against the expansion of the Israeli occupation forces’ ground attack to include Rafah, which means the continuation of the ongoing genocide in the Gaza Strip for 120 days.

The institutions said in their official announcement: The recent statements of Israeli war leaders, in addition to the escalation of current attack patterns, indicate an imminent attack on Rafa'h, just as we have seen in Khan Younus and other areas of the Gaza Strip.

They warned that this would mean more casualties than we have seen before, with Rafa'h Governorate crowded with hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, while the mass expulsion of Palestinians is a reality, and the new Nakba for the Palestinian people is being completed.

The Palestinian Center, Al-Meezan Center, and Al-Haq Foundation in their statement pointed out that nearly one hundred thousand Palestinians have been killed, injured, or missing during this ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip, which is approximately 5% of the total population of the Gaza Strip. They stated that this is one of the highest casualty rates in any war in modern history.

Rafa'h Governorate hosts the vast majority of displaced persons who have been forced to flee from all parts of the Gaza Strip due to deliberate air, land, and sea bombardments targeting entire residential areas, shelters, hospitals, public and private facilities, accompanied by military orders urging residents to head south.

According to the statement, forced displacement operations and the influx of thousands of displaced persons continue even from areas previously declared safe by the occupation forces, including Khan Yunis and the central governorates, towards Rafa'h.

Rafa'h is crowded with hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, most of whom are concentrated in western Rafa'h, the area clearly designated on maps published by the occupation forces as a single safe zone, which is now crowded with tens of thousands of tents sheltering displaced persons in deteriorating humanitarian conditions beyond any human imagination.

Estimates indicate that more than 1.5 million people, out of a total population of about 2.3 million, are now concentrated in Rafa'h Governorate.

Although Rafa'h Governorate has not been safe from shelling operations since the beginning of the attack, including air, sea, and ground shelling that targeted residential homes and civilian facilities, and the latest of which occurred on Saturday morning, with the bombing of two houses resulting in the killing of 17 Palestinians, mostly women and children, it has not yet been subjected to a comprehensive ground invasion like the rest of the Gaza Strip.

The recent statements by the Israeli war minister from inside Khan Younus, “We will also reach Rafa'h,” in addition to the ongoing threats to control the border strip between Rafa'h Governorate and Egypt, as well as the continued shelling along the eastern areas of Rafa'h Governorate, all clearly indicate an imminent attack on the governorate.

They warned that the attack on Rafa'h would represent the peak of the Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip, aiming to cause the largest number of casualties and injuries among civilians and force them to flee south towards the Egyptian borders, which are only meters away, and then a new Nakba for the Palestinian people would be imposed and become an inevitable reality.

They also warned the international community, especially the permanent members of the Security Council, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, and the High Commissioner for Human Rights, of the danger of the current situation in the Gaza Strip and called on them to take immediate measures to prevent the new Nakba in Palestine and stop the genocide against the Gaza Strip.

They warned Israel’s partners in the genocide, whether through their unlimited military and political support for the occupying state or through their silence, and demanded that they fulfill their legal obligations before it is too late and take practical steps to protect Palestinian civilians and stop the mass killing operations and prevent the continuation of the genocide that has been ongoing for 4 months.

Lazzarini: Is UNRWA paying the price for drawing attention to the plight of the people of Gaza

Monday 5-February-2024, LONDON, (PIC)

The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, UNRWA, Philippe Lazzarini, wondered, on Sunday, if “the United Nations agency was paying the price for drawing attention to the plight of the residents of the Gaza Strip.”

This came in a press statement made by Lazzarini to the British newspaper Financial Times, “Are we paying the price for raising our voice in drawing attention to the plight of the people of Gaza, and to the humanitarian catastrophe that is unfolding before our eyes?”

The UN official said, “this has contributed to directing, accelerating, and amplifying criticism against us.”

“We will do our best as a humanitarian organization to continue our work to support the people of Gaza”, the UNRWA official pledged.

As of last January 30, 18 countries and the European Union had decided to suspend their funding to UNRWA, based on Israeli allegations that 12 of the agency’s employees participated in the Hamas October 7 attack on Gaza envelope settlements.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials have been attacking the UN agency. Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen accused UNRWA as being part of Hamas’s “terrorist” infrastructure in Gaza, saying “Israel is working on removing the agency from Gaza because it is the problem and not the solution.”

UNRWA was established by a decision of the United Nations General Assembly in 1949 and authorized to provide assistance and protection to Palestine refugees in five regions: Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, until a just solution to their problem is reached.

Japan's Itochu ends cooperation with Israel's Elbit amid Gaza war, after the International Court of Justice order

TOKYO, Monday, February 5, 2024 (WAFA) -

Itochu Corp's aviation unit will end its strategic cooperation with Israeli defense company Elbit Systems Ltd by the end of February amid the war in Gaza, the Japanese trading house's executive said on Monday.

Itochu plans to end the collaboration after the International Court of Justice ordered Israel last month to prevent acts of genocide against Palestinians and do more to help civilians, Itochu Chief Financial Officer Tsuyoshi Hachimura said.

"Taking into consideration the International Court of Justice's order on January 26, and that the Japanese government supports the role of the Court, we have already suspended new activities related to the MOU, and plan to end the MOU by the end of February," he said.

Itochu Aviation, Elbit Systems and Nippon Aircraft Supply (NAS) signed the strategic cooperation memorandum of understanding (MoU) in March 2023, seven months before the outbreak of the war.

PRCS says Israeli detain General Director and Administrative Director of Al-Amal Hospital

GAZA, Monday, February 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said today that Israeli forces summoned a member of the Society’s Executive Office, the General Director of Al-Amal Hospital, Dr. Haider Al-Qidra, and the Hospital’s Administrative Director, Mahir 'Atallah, and took them to an unknown destination.

In a statement, PRCS added that the arrest came after the International Committee of the Red Cross informed the association of Israel's agreement to provide a safe passage to allow the displaced people to leave Al-Amal Hospital and the association’s headquarters towards Mawasi Khan Younus area.

It pointed out that some displaced people began to leave the association’s headquarters and Al Amal Hospital after being under Israeli military siege for more than two weeks.

Gaza Media Office (GMO) said that the Israeli occupation forces have killed 30 people in a supposedly “safe area” in Dair El-Bala'h, in the central area of the Gaza Strip, in the past 24 hours.

“The occupation army targeted the safe homes of citizens with direct bombardment from military jets. It also bombed a mosque in the same area, which led to the killing of many people,” the GMO said.

GAZA, Monday, February 5, 2024 (WAFA) –

At least four civilians today were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike and artillery shelling of a house in Dair El-Bala'h, in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli fighter jets bombed a house in Al-Hikr area in Dair El-Bala'h, resulting in the killing of four civilians and causing multiple causalities.

More than 8,000 people were reported missing.

Casualty data in Gaza are incomplete due to the intensive Israeli aggression, the repeated and complete interruption of communication and internet services, lack of fuel and devastated infrastructure, which render it difficult to document figures.

Killing, Injuring, and Abduction of Palestinians in the West Bank by Israeli Occupation Regime Forces

Israeli occupation forces kill a Palestinian child near Al-Quds (Jerusalem)

Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Monday, February 5, 2024 (WAFA) -

Israeli occupation forces Monday killed a Palestinian child in cold blood at a military checkpoint near the entrance to the town of Al-'Aizariya, east of Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

Eyewitnesses said that the occupation forces shot a Wadee' 'Owaisat, 14, from the town of Jabal Al-Mukkabir, and left him to bleed until he died, allegedly for attempting to carry out a stabbing attack (the Israeli alleged claim to justify the killing of Palestinians)..

A video posted on social media showed that the occupation forces left the child bleeding without providing treatment to him, until he was succumbed to his injuries.

In another video, a female soldier appears shooting 'Owaisat from point-blank range, while he was injured and bleeding on the ground.

This crime brings to mind several similar crimes documented on video and photos as Israeli forces are no stranger to shooting injured Palestinians and leaving them to bleed until they died.

Palestinian Foreign Minister condemns statements made by the extremist Israeli minister and illegal settler Bezalel Smotrich

RAMALLAH, Monday, February 5, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today strongly condemned and rejected statements made by the extremist Israeli Minister of Finance, Bezalel Smotrich (who is also an illegal settler in the Palestinian occupied West Bank), regarding the deepening and strengthening of illegal Israeli settlement in the land of the State of Palestine, whether in the Gaza Strip or the West Bank.

In a statement, the ministry denounced Smotrich’s statements regarding his refusal to allow Israeli banks to cooperate with the sanctions imposed by US administration on a number of extremist colonists, and considered them a disdain for the resolutions of international legitimacy regarding colonialism.

The ministry further warned that seizing Palestinian land does not provide security for anyone, but rather leads to further escalation.

It reiterated that ending the occupation and granting the Palestinian people their legitimate rights to establish their independent state on the borders June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, based on the two-state solution, is the only way to achieve security and stability for the region.

The Foreign Ministry called for imposing deterrent international sanctions on Israeli extreme right leaders who brag about their violations of international law, which would incite the spread of more violence and chaos in the conflict arena, and provide protection for colonists' practices on Palestinian people.

IOF, settlers carried out 1,593 attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank in January

Monday 5-February-2024, RAMALLAH, (PIC)

The head of Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Mo-ayed Sha'ban, said Israeli occupation forces (IOF) and Jewish settlers carried out 1,593 violations in the West Bank against the Palestinian people, their land, and their sanctities during the month of January 2024.

Sha'ban explained in the Commission’s monthly report on “violations of the occupation and measures of colonial expansion,” that the IOF and settlers carried out 1,407 and 186 attacks respectively.

He pointed out that the violations were concentrated in Al-Khalil Governorate, with 291 attacks, followed by Jerusalem, with 203 attacks, and Nablus, with 200 attacks.

Sha'ban stated that settler attacks were intensively carried out in Al-Khalil (63 attacks), Nablus (38 attacks), and Ramallah (23 attacks), the most prominent of which was the shooting of the young man Tawfiq 'Ajaq in Al-Mazra’a Al-Sharqiya.

He stressed that Jewish settlers stole 47 heads of livestock, three agricultural tractors, and two tents, while the IOF seized 82 vehicles, seven surveillance camera recordings, 15 bulldozers and trucks, in addition to 19 recorded cases of theft of money and gold jewelry and the theft of 60 heads of livestock.

Uprooting and burning of trees were also reported among settlers’ violations. A total of 836 trees, including 473 olive trees, in the governorates of Bethlehem, Qalqilya, Nablus, and Al-Khalil were affected, in addition to steeling more than 70 heads of cows and carrying out nine thefts of farmers’ equipment, three mobile homes, and an agricultural tractor.

Sha'ban added that the IOF carried out 58 demolition operations, affecting 62 facilities, including 22 inhabited and two uninhabited homes, 16 agricultural facilities in the governorates of Al-Khalil, Jerusalem, Qalqilya, and Bethlehem. About 26 demolition notices were issued in the same period against Palestinians’ property in Jerusalem, Nablus, and Al-Khalil.

Sha'ban highlighted that the IOF has been increasing the financial fines (hundreds of thousands of shekels), imposed by the so-called “Settlement Council” on Palestinian farmers and shepherds in a new mechanism to push citizens to leave their lands and homes.

Sha'ban warned of the new policy recently been pursued by the IOF through the prevention of citizens from accessing their lands using military orders completely inconsistent with the international law, stressing that these measures, which include settlers’ violations and IOF’s systematic closure of Palestinian villages and cities, have prevented citizens from reaching more than half a million dunums of their lands.
