While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (October 7, 2023-Fruary 26, 2024), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

'Hamas holds Washington responsible for self-immolation of US Navy pilot Aaron Bushnell

Tuesday 27-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement held the US administration responsible for the death of an American soldier who set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington, DC, denouncing the genocide being committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the Gaza Strip.

'Hamas said in a statement, “The Biden’s administration bears full responsibility for the death of the US airman Aaron Bushnell because of its unlimited support of the Zionist entity in its genocidal war against our Palestinian people.”

'Hamas explained that Bushnell “sacrificed his life to shed light on the Zionist massacres and ethnic cleansing against our people in the Gaza Strip.”

The Movement expressed its condolences and solidarity with the family and friends of the American pilot.

“The American pilot, Aaron Bushnell, immortalized his name in advocacy of human values and the rights of the Palestinian people who are suffering because of the US administration’s unjust policies, following the steps of the American activist Rachel Corrie, who was deliberately crushed by an Israeli military bulldozer in Rafah in 2003. She confronted an Israeli massacre with her unarmed body, refusing to demolish the homes of citizens in Gaza, but she was killed in cold blood, becoming an icon of global solidarity with the people of Palestine,” Hamas said.

On Monday, the Pentagon confirmed the death of a US Navy pilot, after he set himself ablaze outside of the Israeli embassy in Washington, in protest against the war on Gaza.

Pilot Aaron Bushnell (25 years old) died from serious burns he sustained, on Sunday, when he set his body on fire in protest against the war on Gaza.

On Monday, Bushnell headed towards the Israeli embassy in Washington. Upon his arrival, he poured gasoline over his head and clothes, and set himself on fire while shouting “Freedom for Palestine” repeatedly until he stopped breathing. An official at Washington’s Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that he had died.

In a video that the 25-year-old American pilot live streamed on Twitch, Bushnell is seen walking down the street, stating: “I’m about to engage in an extreme act of protest, but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal.”

The Palestinian flag was placed in the background of the video, with the words “Free Palestine” written on it.

Hundreds mourn US airman who self-immolated at Israeli Embassy in protest of Gaza war

WASHINGTON, Tuesday, February 27, 2024 (WAFA) –

Hundreds of people came to the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C. Monday evening to collectively mourn the US airman who died after setting himself ablaze in protest of Israel's ongoing war in Gaza.

Many hoped that the death of Aaron Bushnell, 25, an active-duty member of the US Air Force, would spark change in US President Joe Biden's hitherto unwavering support for the war.

Leah, a Palestinian American who declined to provide her last name, told Anadolu that she believed it was important for her to attend the vigil "to show solidarity and support with those who are taking extreme acts of resistance that shows their solidarity and support with Palestine and our people."

Asked if she believed Bushnell's death would change the course of the war, she said, "That's the hope."

Bushnell set himself ablaze in front of Israel’s Embassy on Sunday afternoon in protest of its ongoing war in the besieged Gaza Strip and US support for the offensive. He was taken to a hospital but died from the injuries he sustained.

“I will no longer be complicit in genocide. I’m about to engage in an extreme act of protest, but compared to what people have been experiencing in Palestine at the hands of their colonizers, it’s not extreme at all. This is what our ruling class has decided will be normal,” Bushnell said in a video recording that went viral on social media.

Bushnell can repeatedly be heard shouting "Free Palestine!" as flames engulf him before he collapses to the ground.

A Secret Service officer estimated that "at its peak," the vigil mourning his death attracted over 300 people. The gathering lasted for over three hours with an average of over 100 people there at any given point.

Josephine Guilbeau, a former Army intelligence officer, told Anadolu that she flew out from Ohio for the vigil, because she believes Bushnell's "death cannot be in vain."

"His message needs to get out. And we also need to make sure that we are supporting anybody else that's like Aaron, that's having these same feelings, because how are we supposed to deal with a genocide?" she asked rhetorically.

"We've never seen anything like this before in our lives, and our government just expects that the American people are going to watch this unfold for five months now, and there aren't going to be any mental issues. Of course, there's mental issues across the board. Anybody with access to the Internet is watching a genocide unfold in modern day time," added Guilbeau.

Jenny Rosemary, a 22-year-old resident of Annandale, Virginia, said Bushnell's fatal protest "was an extreme act, but an act of morality."

"I think we should all hope to be that brave," Rosemary said. "I think to get to this point, it's taken a lot of ignorance on behalf of the US government...They can't have missed all the videos of people suffering and the deaths, you know, but I'd like to think that one of their own kind, you know, someone who's in the military, that hopefully will change something."

Hamas calls for serious European positions against Israeli war on Gaza

Tuesday 27-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement has called on the European countries and the European Union to take practical and serious positions to prevent the Israeli occupation regime from persisting in its “criminal war” against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Monday, Hamas called for necessarily acting according to the decisions adopted by the International Court of Justice, which demanded Israel to stop its genocidal and ethnic cleansing practices in Gaza.

“The remarks made by leaders of European countries against the Zionist aggression in Rafa'h City are welcomed, but this does not absolve them of their responsibilities for preventing the criminal attack on Rafa'h, where there are one and a half million displaced Palestinians,” Hamas said.

The Movement condemned governments of some European countries for continuing to supply Israel with weapons to help it in its “war of extermination” in Gaza.
