While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza, which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

US vetoes Gaza cease-fire resolution at UN

Story by Peter Weber,

The Week US February 21, 2024

The U.S. vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have called for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza.

What happened?

The U.S. on Tuesday vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have called for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza. America was the only country to vote against the resolution, though it offered its own draft calling for a temporary cease-fire "as soon as practicable."

Who said what?

"Demanding an immediate unconditional cease-fire without an agreement requiring Hamas to release the hostages will not bring endurable peace," said Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N.

Palestinian U.N. envoy Riyadh Mansour said "the message given today to Israel with this veto is that it can continue to get away with murder."

The commentary

This was the third U.S. veto of a cease-fire resolution since the start of the current fighting, and it "underlined America's isolation in its continued, forceful backing of Israel," The New York Times said. The alternate U.S. resolution marks "the first time Washington has put forth language using the word 'cease-fire,'" Politico said.

The Times of India US vetoes UN ceasefire resolution in Israel-Hamas conflict, China expresses disappointment

What next?

The U.S. said its proposed six-week pause, which also warns against Israel attacking Rafa'h, would support the complex diplomatic talks to secure the release of hostages Hamas took in its Oct. 7 attack on Israel. Linda Thomas-Greenfield said she hopes the Security Council will approve the draft as soon as it is ready.

WHO: The health and humanitarian situation in Gaza is inhumane

Thursday 22-February-2024, GENEVA, (PIC)

The health and humanitarian situation in Gaza is inhumane and continues to deteriorate, said the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Ghebreyesus asked: “What type of world do we live in when people cannot get food and water, or when people who cannot even walk are not able to receive care?”

“What type of world do we live in when health workers are at risk of being bombed as they carry out their lifesaving work?”

“What type of world do we live in when hospitals must close because there’s no more power or medicines to help save patients? And they’re being targeted by military force?”

He further pointed out that “Gaza has become a death zone, where much of the territory has been destroyed, more than 29,000 people are dead, many more are missing or presumed dead and many, many more are injured.”

The UN official concluded by saying: “We need a ceasefire now! We need hostages to be released, we need the bombs to stop dropping, and we need unfettered humanitarian access.”

'Hamas: Suspension of WFP deliveries of food aid to northern Gaza is submission to Israeli dictates

Wednesday 21-February-2024, GAZA, (PIC)

'Hamas Movement said that the UN World Food Program’s (WFP) suspension of deliveries of life-saving food aid to the northern Gaza Strip is a dangerous development that will aggravate the human suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza and northern governorates, in light of the Israeli stifling siege, stressing that it constitutes a surrender to the reality of genocide imposed by Israel.

In a statement on Wednesday, the Movement called on the WFP and international agencies, including UNRWA, to put pressure on Israel, by resuming work in the northern Gaza Strip in compliance with their international obligations to save citizens from the severely escalating threat of famine.

'Hamas also called on the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take urgent action to break the siege and relieve the Palestinian people from the threat of starvation and genocide, demanding the activation of the resolution of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit that was held in Riyadh last November.

The Movement called for “a strong stance in the face of the Zionist policy of ethnic cleansing against our people, and to put pressure on governments around the world to isolate this Nazi entity, and to force it to respect the international humanitarian law by stopping its prevention of access to relief and medicine aid in the Gaza Strip.”

The famine has recently been deepening in areas of northern Gaza, as a result of the depletion of basic food supplies such as flour, rice, canned food, grains, and even animal feed that citizens have been left no choice but to eat because of hunger.

Approximately 700,000 people are still residing in northern Gaza, rejecting the Israeli displacement policy despite relentless bombardment, destruction, and starvation.

At least three Palestinians were killed, and many others were injured, during a series of airstrikes targeting four homes in Rafa'h.

Israeli artillery targets vicinity of a Gaza hospital

GAZA, Thursday, February 22, 2024 (WAFA) -

The Israeli occupation artillery Thursday fired several shells in the vicinity of Al-Amal Hospital, west of Khan Younus, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that this caused a shrapnel to fly at the organization's headquarters and Al-Amal Hospital, causing the wires of the aerial communication device, through which all the Society’s various crews work, to be cut off.

This increases the challenges and difficulties facing the crews, especially the ambulance, in light of the interruption, as all means of landline and cellular communications and Internet services, for the thirty-eighth day in Khan Younus Governorate, the PRCS said.

The Israeli occupation forces continue its siege and targeting of the hospital for the 31st day in a row, in light of the ongoing catastrophic situation.

Al-Amal Hospital is directly affected by the artillery shelling, which led to massive damage to its facilities and the number of slain Palestinians.

The hospital is also facing a shortage of fuel reserves needed to generate electricity for patients at high risk, and is facing almost exhaustion of food supplies.

The occupation forces have been carrying on a brutal aggression against the Gaza Strip by land, sea and air since October 7, killing 29,410 Palestinians, the majority of whom were children and women, and injuring 69,465 others, while thousands of victims remain under the rubble.
