While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Despite the Israeli restrictions, 50,000 Palestinian Muslims perform the Friday prayer, at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Friday 23-August-2024

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)

Tens of thousands of Palestinian worshipers performed Friday prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), despite Israeli restrictions.

According to the Islamic Endowments Department in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), around 50,000 Muslims performed the Friday prayer at the holy shrine.

The Israeli forces arrested a young man near Bab Al-Asbat after assaulting him, and searched the bags of female worshipers before entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, and checked the males’ IDs, preventing a number of them from having access to Aqsa Mosque through King Faisal Gate.

A heavy contingent of Israeli police was deployed at the entrances, surroundings, and alleys of the city, as well as at the external gates of the Mosque.

Israeli authorities also imposed more restrictions on West Bankers’ entry to the Aqsa Mosque compound.

Earlier Friday, thousands of Maqdisis (Jerusalemites) performed the Fajr prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque despite the Israeli security restrictions at its gates.

Eight martyrs in Israeli missile attacks in southern Lebanon

Friday 23-August-2024

BEIRUT, (PIC)

8 Lebanese, including 4 'Hizbullah Party fighters, were martyred on Friday due to Israeli missile attacks that targeted various locations in southern Lebanon, while the party announced its shelling of Israel’s Miron military base.

The Israeli occupation army announced the assassination of Mu'hammed Najm in an air strike on Mays Al-Jabal, whom they said was “a prominent element in 'Hizbullah’s missile unit.”

Prior to this targeting, 7 people, including a child, were martyred due to Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon, with Hezbollah mourning at least 4 of them.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that 3 martyrs were killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted the town of Tayr 'Harfa in southern Lebanon. 'Hizbullah mourned three of its elements who were killed in the shelling of the town of Tire Harfa, before the party mourned a fourth element.

The occupation army stated that forces of the 146th Division spotted a cell that was planning to launch rockets at Israeli targets, and the force directed an Israeli Air Force aircraft that eliminated the cell in the Tayr 'Harfa area in southern Lebanon.

While media sources said the shelling was carried out by a drone, the army statement said, “After eliminating the cell, the launch of a rocket from the attack area was observed, indicating the presence of combat means and rockets in the place.”

The Israeli occupation army’s artillery also shelled targets in the Shib'a area in southern Lebanon, according to the statement, which did not provide further details.

In the town of 'Ayta Al-Sha'b, the Lebanese Ministry of Health, in a second statement, reported the martyrdom of two people, one of them a 7-year-old child, as a result of Israeli missile strikes.

The National News Agency reported the martyrdom of two people, one in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Mays Al-Jabal, and the other in an airstrike on a motorcycle in the town of 'Aytaroun, with the two strikes injuring 3 people.

For its part, Hezbollah announced the shelling of surveillance equipment at the headquarters of the monitoring unit and the air operations management at the Israeli Miron base.

The Israeli army radio reported that anti-tank missiles were fired from Lebanon and hit an air force monitoring base on Mount Meron near the southern Lebanese border.

The army radio, citing unnamed security officials, explained that missiles fired from Lebanon hit the air force monitoring base on Mount Meron, noting that the base continues to operate.

Earlier, a house in the Zar’eet settlement in the Upper Galilee region was hit by missiles fired from southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah announced that it had carried out 12 attacks on Israeli military targets.

This comes as Israel is anticipating retaliatory responses from Iran and Hezbollah for the assassinations of the political bureau chief of Hamas, Isma'eel Haniyya, in Tehran, and the prominent 'Hizbullah leader Fu-ad Shukr in Beirut, last month.

Badran: US Secretary of State is marketing illusions

Friday 23-August-2024

DOHA, (PIC)

“The US Secretary of State’s statements aim to market illusions, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu deliberately obstructs efforts to reach an agreement to end the war, by setting conditions that contradict what was previously agreed upon,” Hamas Political Bureau member 'Husam Badran said in press statements on Thursday.

Badran considered the US Secretary of State’s statements about the Israeli approval of the amended proposal as “a kind of deception and marketing of illusions.”

The member of the Hamas Political Bureau confirmed during a TV interview that these statements clearly reflect the stubborn Israeli positions, as the proposals put forward by the US Secretary of State were not accepted by the Israeli authorities. On the contrary, Netanyahu has repeatedly announced his conditions and requirements that are in stark contrast to everything that was previously agreed upon, especially with regard to the July 2, 2024 paper.

Badran explained that the US Secretary of State appears to be speaking on behalf of Netanyahu, while all indications say that Netanyahu is the main obstacle to reaching any agreement, and this is confirmed by the statements of the Israeli army minister himself.

Asked about possible options to bridge the gaps in the negotiations, Badran said that the Palestinian demands have always been clear and specific, adding that “we agreed to the proposal presented on July 2, and that the mediators had pledged at the time that the Palestinian resistance’s approval of that paper would bring approval from the occupation,” explaining that if the US is serious about achieving a ceasefire or reaching an agreement, it must abide by what it had previously offered and agreed upon.

He further stressed that pressure must be directed towards Netanyahu, who refuses to abide by international demands calling for an end to the war.

Badran reiterated that “the US is not just a mediator in this conflict, but a real partner in the war against the Palestinian people,” saying that the US support for Israel goes beyond armament and funding, to include political, diplomatic and media support.

Badran stressed that the Palestinian resistance will not give Netanyahu the opportunity to manipulate through empty negotiation rounds, stressing that the resistance will continue to defend the Palestinian people with all its capabilities and abilities.

UNRWA chief warns of increased risk of polio spread in Gaza amid the Israeli genocidal war

Al-Quds (Jerusalem), Friday, August 23, 2024 (WAFA) —

Philippe Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), expressed grave concerns today about the worsening humanitarian crisis in Gaza and its impact on public health, as a result of the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on the Palestinian population.

In a statement on X, Lazzarini stressed that delays in achieving a humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza could exacerbate the spread of polio. He cited the World Health Organization's confirmation of a 10-month-old infant in Gaza who has been paralyzed by polio, marking the first such case in the region in over 25 years.

On August 16, the Ministry of Health reported that this was the first confirmed polio case in Gaza since the outbreak of the war. The child, from Dair El-Bala'h in central Gaza, had not received any polio vaccinations.

Lazzarini stressed that merely bringing vaccines to Gaza is insufficient. “To have an impact, the vaccines must end up in the mouths of every child under the age of 10,” said the UN official. He noted that UNRWA's medical teams will distribute vaccines through their clinics and mobile health teams across the Gaza Strip.

UN, Palestinian calls for humanitarian truce to ensure delivery of polio vaccines in Gaza

Friday 23-August-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

United Nations officials renewed the calls for a humanitarian ceasefire to ensure the delivery of polio vaccines into the Gaza Strip, as the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Strip stressed the need for a humanitarian truce to ensure a successful vaccination campaign.

Dr. Louisa Baxter, who is leading Save the Children’s medical team, said in a speech at the United Nations Security Council on Thursday that “polio is spreading in Gaza and will not wait at the inspection gate at the Karm Abu Salim crossing or the customs office at the Lod (Ben Gurion) Airport.”

Baxter stated that this disease poses a threat to children everywhere, and without immediate preventive measures, the outbreak of the disease in Gaza will hinder efforts to eliminate the disease globally.”

Baxter called for a complete ceasefire to be implemented in two stages, with no less than one week for each in order to start vaccinating children immediately.

For its part, 20 international relief organizations and health workers called in a joint statement on Thursday for an immediate ceasefire in the Strip to be able to provide polio vaccines.

Baxter pointed out that at least 50,000 children were born during the Israeli aggression on Gaza with low chance of vaccination due to the collapse of the health system, elaborating that “the return of the outbreak of polio virus in Gaza was a direct result of the destruction of water and sewage infrastructure and the restrictions imposed by the Israeli government.”

The virus was discovered for the first time in wastewater last July, while the registration of the first child with polio was announced last week, infecting a 10-month-old girl in Dair El-Bala'h.

For its part, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip called for an immediate ceasefire in order to implement the polio vaccination campaign.

The Ministry stressed in a statement on Friday that the vaccination campaign would not be feasible without healthy water and personal hygiene supplies in light of the spread of wastewater in the displaced tents, and the lack of a healthy environment.

The World Health Organization and UNICEF said they have detailed plans to vaccinate 640,000 children across Gaza, starting from the end of this month.

The Director of Communications at UNRWA, Juliet Touma, said, “It is very difficult to conduct a vaccination campaign of this size under a sky full of airstrikes.”

WHO: Evacuation orders must be stopped at all costs

Friday 23-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed on Friday his deep concern over the confirmation that a 10-month-old child has been infected with polio in the Gaza Strip.

“I am gravely concerned that a 10-month-old unvaccinated child from Dair El-Bala'h, Gaza, has been confirmed to have polio—the first case in Gaza in 25 years,” Ghebreyesus said in a post on X platform.

“WHO and partners urgently worked to collect and transfer stool samples from the child for testing at a WHO-accredited laboratory in the region. Genomic sequencing confirmed the virus is linked to the variant poliovirus type 2 detected in environmental samples collected in June from Gaza’s wastewater.”

The child, who developed paralysis in the lower left leg, is currently in a stable condition, he added.

Given the high risk of poliovirus spread in Gaza and the region, the Palestinian Ministry of Health, WHO and UNICEF are working to implement two rounds of polio vaccination in the coming weeks to halt transmission.

The threat of polio comes as repeated evacuation orders continue to displace thousands in Gaza’s cities of Khan Yunis and Deir al-Balah, adding to the physical and mental strain on an already suffering population.

Former 'Hamas captive Noa Argamani refutes Israeli media claims of torture

Friday 23-August-2024

NAZARETH, (PIC)

Former 'Hamas captive Noa Argamani refuted the lies of the Israeli media regarding her being subjected to beating or humiliation during her 8-month captivity with the Palestinian resistance in Gaza.

Argamani, through her Instagram page, criticized the Israeli media for taking her statements out of context and misrepresenting their true meaning.

Argamani said, “I cannot ignore what the Israeli media has done to me in the past 24 hours, by taking my words out of context.”

She continued, “The Hamas elements did not beat me in captivity, nor did they cut my hair. Rather, I was injured when a wall collapsed due to an Israeli air strike.”

Argamani emphasized, “I stress that no one beat me in captivity, but I was injured all over my body after the air strike. I am a victim of the October 7th operation and cannot be a victim again of the Israeli media.”

The 'Hamas armed wing the Qassam Brigades had captured Argamani along with 252 Israelis during the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, 2023.

Argamani said that the Qassam Brigades members moved her between houses and occasionally allowed her to go out to breathe fresh air, while she was disguised as an Arab woman.

On June 8, the occupying army forces carried out a military operation in Al-Nusayrat camp in the Gaza Strip to free Argamani, which led to the martyrdom of more than 200 Palestinians and the injury of hundreds.

PPS: Over 40 prisoners released from Israeli jails showing signs of health deterioration

Friday 23-August-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

The Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) said the 40 prisoners who were released on Thursday from Israeli occupation prisons obviously suffer from deteriorated health conditions, noting that some of them were transferred to hospitals shortly after their release, especially among the prisoners who were released from the Negev desert prison.

The PPS revealed in a statement that “some of the released detainees suffer from skin diseases, specifically those released from the Negev prison.”

“The initial after-release photos showed the freed prisoners in different looking compared to their before-arrest photos. They have greatly differed as a result of systematic torture crimes they were subjected to,” the PPS said, noting that some of them were transferred to hospitals shortly after their release.”

Over 40 prisoners were released on Thursday from several Israeli jails including some of the administrative detainees and those who ended their sentences.

Some of them were set free at Al-Dthahiriya military checkpoint in the city of Al-Khaleel (Hebron), others were released near Ofer prison west of Ramallah and in front of Salem military checkpoint in the city of Jineen.

On the other hand, Israeli occupation forces continue to arrest more Palestinians every day, with more than 10,200 prisoners being detained from the West Bank and thousands of others rounded up from Gaza Strip since October 7 last year.

Gaza: The wounded will need “half a million” surgeries post-war

Friday 23-August-2024

ANKARA, (PIC)

A Palestinian health official has said that the Palestinians wounded in Gaza as a result of the Israeli war will need to undergo about half a million surgical procedures when the fighting ends.

“There are more than 94,000 wounded persons in Gaza and each one of them needs an average of three to four surgical procedures post-war,” Abdul-Lateef Al-'Hajj, assistant deputy minister of health in Gaza, explained in a recent interview with Anadolu news agency.

Al-'Hajj added that the healthcare system in Gaza faces major challenges, including the loss of more than 70 percent of its clinical capacity due to the bombing of hospitals and clinics.

According to the Palestinian official, 14 hospitals in Gaza are currently in operation, but only four of them are major centers and the rest are small non-governmental clinics.

He pointed out that more than 50 percent of essential medicines and 60 percent of laboratory materials are currently unavailable in Gaza, adding that more than 880 medical workers had been killed since the beginning of the war.

PCDS condemns the Israeli restrictions on their work

Friday 23-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Civil Defense Society (PCDS) condemned the Israeli occupation’s refusal to facilitate its work and allow its crews to evacuate the injured from the “Abu Hadrous” family who are being held inside their home that was destroyed by the Israeli forces over their heads in the 'Hamad city in Khan Younus.

The PCDS condemned, in a press statement issued on Thursday, “the silence of the International Committee of the Red Cross and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, despite the numerous appeals and calls they received to save the lives of the injured and missing people in the Abu Hadrous house.”

“The continued disregard for the distress calls of the injured from the Abu Hadrous family will lead to their death, like the thousands who were killed after our crews were unable to reach them and save their lives.”

'Hamas condemns Wennesland’s inaccuracies on recent developments in the region, as he equated the Israeli aggressors with the Palestinian victims

Friday 23-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement condemned the inaccuracies stated on Thursday by the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland while briefing a Security Council session on the recent developments in the region.

The Hamas political bureau member, Basim Naim, said in a press statement on Friday, “Unfortunately, Mr. Wennesland insists on the same language in which he equates the Israeli aggressors with the Palestinian victims, violates explicitly international law, and even exceeds the declared stance of the United Nations, which was expressed by several international organizations in Palestine.”

“Rather, he went beyond the issue to adopt the occupation’s narrative, which it uses to justify its aggression against our people in all areas,” Naim added.

The statement listed the following points among the inaccuracies and transgressions in Wennesland’s speech:

“- He adopted the occupation’s narrative regarding shelters, civilian buildings, and United Nations headquarters, where he claimed that they are used for military purposes without any evidence. This is the occupation’s narrative that was never proven, and in doing so, he gives the occupation pretexts to continue the bombing and killing of Palestinian civilians. Mr. Wennesland too ignored all footages that confirmed and documented how the enemy army used the schools, universities, civilian homes and even UN buildings [in Gaza] as military bases.

– Once again, he adopted the occupation narrative in justifying his aggression against the Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, that killing people and demolishing homes over the heads of their inhabitants, is within the framework of pursuing the resistance forces. He forgot that more than 20,000 Palestinians were killed during the past years in the streets, alleys, and homes of the occupied West Bank without any justification, except that they were Palestinians living in their homeland.

– He described our people’s resistance against the occupation as “terrorism” while describing the state terrorism practiced by the settlers under the protection of the army and government ministers as “violence”.

– He spoke passionately about the suffering of the Zionist prisoners held by the resistance. He forgot that thousands of Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, have been living in conditions unfit for humans over decades, especially those violations after October 7 that reached the media and became known to everyone about the horrific and immoral practices sponsored by the Zionist state against our prisoners in [the Zionist] jails.

– Mr. Wennesland repeatedly ignored the attempts of the Zionist entity to undermine the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Palestinian territories and even to eliminate it, especially in the Gaza Strip, in light of the largest humanitarian crisis the Strip is going through.”

Naim concluded by saying, “These are some of the inaccuracies mentioned in his briefing, and was repeated in previous ones, which means that it is an approved and deliberate policy. Accordingly, we demand that Mr. Wennesland retract these inaccuracies and adhere to the limits of the mission entrusted to him as an international mediator whose reference is international law and the policies of the United Nations.”

US-backed Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip enters Day 322

Friday 23-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) continue to perpetrate the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, for the 322nd consecutive day, through carrying out dozens of air raids and artillery bombardment, while committing massacres against civilians, amidst a catastrophic humanitarian situation due to the blockade and the displacement of more than 95% of the population.

Our correspondents reported that the occupation’s aircraft and artillery continued their violent raids and bombardment on Friday on various parts of the Gaza Strip, targeting homes, displaced persons’ gatherings, and streets, causing dozens of martyrs and wounded.

The Israeli occupation forces have continued their ground invasion of vast neighborhoods in Rafa'h since last May 7, and several axes in Khan Yunis and Gaza, amid aerial and artillery bombardment and the commission of horrific massacres.

The PIC correspondent reported that the IOF intensified their shelling of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, amid heavy fire of smoke bombs and low-flying helicopters.

The Israeli artillery shelled the Yaseen family house opposite the Al-Abrar Mosque, east of Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

The Israeli forces also fired two artillery shells at two houses in Hana Street in Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.

Early today, the Israeli artillery shelled the south of the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

The Israeli artillery also targeted the southeast of Al-Musaddar today, east of Dair El-Bala'h, and north of Al-Nusayrat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

A number of Palestinians were injured due to the random Israeli gunfire that targeted displacement tents in Al-Mawasi of Rafa'h.

The Israeli artillery also shelled the Al-Kateeba area in Khan Younus.

Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike targeted the east of the city of Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip.

Israeli occupation forces orders Palestinians in northern Gaza areas to evacuate

GAZA, Friday, August 23, 2024 (WAFA) –

Continuing its pattern of issuing illegal evacuation orders in the war-torn Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation forces Friday evening ordered Palestinians in several areas in the northern Strip to evacuate in preparation for a possible military aggression.

The Israeli occupation forces ordered all Palestinians in blocks 967, 968, 969, 970, 971, 1738, 1739, 1740, 1746 and 1751 in the neighborhoods of Al-Salateen, Al-'Atatra, Al-Seifa, Al-Karama, and Al-Ghabn to evacuate and flee towards shelters in western Gaza City, claiming this is a safe area.

On Thursday, the United Nations agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) said that the occupation forces forced 250,000 people to move yet again in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

“So far in August, the Israeli authorities issued 12 evacuation orders affecting around 250,000 people in Gaza,” UNRWA said on X platform.

“Families are repeatedly displaced, carrying what they can amid military operations and summer heat. There is no escape from this exhausting cycle in the Gaza Strip,” it added.

On Wednesday, the occupation forces issued an evacuation order, targeting tens of thousands of civilians, including those who have already been forcibly displaced, who are living in Blocks 129 and 130 in the area of Al-Ma'hatta and Dair El-Bala'h.

Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafa'h, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.

Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 40,265 Palestinians and injuring over 93,144 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafa'h near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Injuries during Israeli military incursion into Qalqilya area-town

QALQILYA, Friday, August 23, 2024 (WAFA) -

Several Palestinians suffocated today following an Israeli military raid into the town of Kafr Qaddoum east of Qalqilya, according to local sources

Earlier today, Israeli forces raided the town of Kafr Qaddoum, surrounded the 'Omar Bin Al Khattab Mosque, one of Qalqilya's oldest mosques from which the weekly anti-settlement peaceful march kicks off every week, and prevented citizens’ access to it, leading to confrontations.

Immediately following the Friday prayers, the occupation attacked worshippers with live bullets, sound bombs and tear gas canisters, which led to the injury of a young man with a bomb that struck him directly in the back. The Israeli forces' heavy firing of sound and tear gas bombs caused the shattering of one of the mosque’s windows. The bomb struck and injured one of the worshipers inside the mosque in his back.

Dozens of others were treated at the scene from tear gas suffocation.

Illegal Israeli extremist settlers abduct two freed Palestinian prisoners near Aree'ha (Jericho)

Aree'ha (Jericho), Friday, August 23, 2024 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli extremist settlers tonight abducted two freed Palestinian prisoners near the Al-'Auja Spring north of Jericho.

Security sources told WAFA that armed colonists attacked the tires of a Palestinian vehicle with gunfire before abducting two Palestinian freed prisoners who were traveling in the car. They were identified as 'Oday 'Hosni al-Najjar and Ramadan Jameel Nassar.

The settler violence against Palestinians and their properties has dramatically increased since the onset of Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people on October 7th, 2023.

The indiscriminate violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinian civilians and their properties has been widely condemned.

Several countries have imposed sanctions against Israeli colonists accused of committing acts of violence against the Palestinian people in the West Bank.

Illegal Israeli extremist settlers graze their sheep in Palestinian Bedouin community northwest of Jericho

JERICHO, Friday, August 213, 2024 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli extremist settlers this evening stormed a Palestinian Bedouin community northwest of Jericho.

'Hasan Mulai'hat, Head of the Al-Baydar Association for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, told WAFA that colonists raided the Mulai'hat Bedioun community in the Mu'arrajat area northwest of Jericho, and grazed their sheep throughout the community.

The said community is being subjected to systematic attempts by the occupying state and its colonizers to uproot them from their land.

According to the semi-annual report of the illegal Israeli settlements and Wall Resistance Commission, the actions of the Israeli occupation and colonists have resulted in the displacement of five Palestinian Bedouin communities consisting of 18 families (118 individuals) since the beginning of this year.

The Commission added that 24 Palestinian Bedouin communities consisting of 266 families (1517 individuals), were displaced from their places of residence after October 7, 2023.
