While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

'Hamas: The Palestinians are victims of ongoing Zionist terrorism for seven decades

Thursday 22-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement said “while the United Nations and the world celebrate the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism on August 21, our Palestinian people are still being subjected to the most heinous war of genocide, ethnic cleansing, and systematic destruction of all aspects of human life in the Gaza Strip.”

“Israeli massacres have been ongoing for ten months, during which more than 40,000 people were killed, most of them were women and children, more than 93,000 others were wounded in addition to more than 10,000 missing under the rubble and thousands kidnapped and detained in Israeli prisons and detention centers, amidst international failure to stop the Zionist entity’s terrorism against more than two million Palestinian citizens in the Gaza Strip,” Hamas added.

The Movement stressed that “the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism obligates the United Nations and the international community, with its institutions and organizations, to shoulder the responsibility to work seriously to expose the terrorism of this Zionist entity against our people, and to escalate and continue all practical measures to prosecute Israel at the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.”

'Hamas added in a press statement on Wednesday that the Palestinian people are victims of organized and continuous terrorism which has been practiced for more than seven decades in flagrant violation of all international norms and conventions as well as the heavenly laws and have been carried out in defiance and blatant disregard to the resolutions of international and UN institutions, as a rogue entity that is out of all human values and moral principles.

It said that the international community bears full responsibility for the continued crimes of the Israeli occupation army and its ongoing and escalating terrorism against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Jerusalem and the 1948 occupied Palestine.

The Movement called for putting an end to the terrorism of the Israeli occupation army and ending its aggression and war of genocide against the Gaza Strip.

90% of Gaza's population has been displaced since start of war: UN

GENEVA, Thursday, August 22, 2024 (WAFA) —

The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights reported today that nearly 90% of Gaza's population has been displaced since the outbreak of the Israeli war on the region in October 2023.

The Commission stated in a post on its X account that there is currently no safe place within the territory.

It said displaced Gazans are currently confined to an area that constitutes only one-tenth of the Gaza Strip's total space.

Since the onset of the Israeli aggression, Israel's military attacks have resulted in over 133,000 casualties, including both fatalities and injuries, with the majority being children and women, according to local health authorities.

Additionally, more than 10,000 individuals remain missing amidst widespread devastation and a critical famine.

UNRWA: Israeli occupation forces forcefully displaced 250,000 people to move yet again in Gaza

NEW YORK, Thursday, August 22, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces forcefully displaced 250,000 people to move yet again in the war-torn Gaza Strip, according to the United Nations agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA).

“So far in August, the Israeli authorities issued 12 evacuation orders affecting around 250,000 people in Gaza,” UNRWA said on X platform.

“Families are repeatedly displaced, carrying what they can amid military operations and summer heat. There is no escape from this exhausting cycle in the Gaza Strip,” it added.

This was confirmed by Muhannad Hadi, Humanitarian Coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

“During August alone, the Israeli forces have issued 12 evacuation orders – on average, once every two days – forcing as many as 250,000 people to move yet again,” he said in a press statement.

“Just yesterday, tens of thousands of civilians in four neighborhoods in Dair El Bala'h and Khan Younus were instructed to leave. Humanitarian staff of several UN agencies and NGOs were also affected, along with their families,” he added, while affirming that “Humanitarian workers play a critical role in supporting other displaced Palestinians.”

He refuted Israeli occupation authorities’ allegations that evacuation orders are meant to protect civilians.

“If evacuation orders are meant to protect civilians, the fact is that they are leading to the exact opposite. They are forcing families to flee again, often under fire and with the few belongings they can carry with them, into an ever-shrinking area that is overcrowded, polluted, with limited services and – like the rest of Gaza – unsafe. People are being deprived of access to services essential for their survival, including medical facilities, shelters, water wells and humanitarian supplies.”

“The water supply in Dair El Bala'h has decreased by at least 70 per cent due to the shutdown of pumps and desalination plants located within evacuation zones. A severe chlorine shortage for water disinfection, with reserves expected to last only one more month, is fueling disease, skin infections, hepatitis A and now polio,” he elaborated.

“Civilians are exhausted and terrified, running from one destroyed place to another, with no end in sight.”

He reiterated the need for protecting civilians and meeting their essential needs under international law.

“The way forward is as clear as it is urgent: protect civilians, release the hostages, facilitate humanitarian access, agree on a ceasefire,” he concluded.

UN Security Council calls for immediate ceasefire in Gaza amid Israel’s relentless onslaught

NEW YORK, Thursday, August 22, 2024 (WAFA) —

The United Nations Security Council convened today for its monthly session to discuss the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian issue.

The session featured briefings from UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Tor Wennesland, and Louisa Baxter, Head of the Emergency Health Unit at Save the Children.

During the meeting, council members unanimously stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire and the facilitation of humanitarian aid throughout Gaza, including polio vaccines. They warned of escalating regional tensions if the conflict persists.

Wennesland urges immediate ceasefire

Addressing the council via video link from Jerusalem, Wennesland described the situation in the Middle East as "volatile," cautioning that even a small escalation could lead to uncontrollable intensification of the conflict, potentially involving millions of people. He emphasized that a ceasefire agreement is critical for regional peace and stability.

Wennesland pointed out that the need for a ceasefire agreement is more pressing than ever, and that failure to address this issue means that prospects for a more stable, peaceful, and secure region will remain elusive. He urged the international community to act quickly, noting that there is no time to lose.

Wennesland also reported significant human losses in Gaza, with over 40,000 Palestinians killed during the war. He expressed concern over the situation in the West Bank, describing it as a "tinderbox" due to ongoing Israeli raids and violence.

Save the Children: Gaza's children under bombardment, death and siege

Louisa Baxter, speaking from Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, painted a grim picture of the humanitarian crisis. She reported that over 1.9 million people have been displaced, living amidst rubble and sanitation issues. Baxter said more than 14,000 children have been killed, a figure that might be an underestimate due to outdated data.

Baxter emphasized the severe impact on children's health, citing widespread malnutrition and disease exacerbated by the blockade. She noted the deliberate hindrance of humanitarian aid, including life-saving medications, and revealed the emergence of polio in Gaza, marking a significant setback in global eradication efforts.

She called for an immediate, sustained ceasefire to facilitate humanitarian access and vaccination efforts, stressing that without such measures, the crisis could worsen dramatically.

International reactions

China's permanent representative to the UN, Fu Cong, criticized Israel for ignoring calls for a ceasefire and urged the country to adhere to international humanitarian laws, including opening border crossings for aid. He warned that peace in the region is hanging by a thread.

France's Deputy Permanent Representative, Nathalie Broadhurst, reiterated the call for an immediate ceasefire to end civilian suffering and enable unhindered humanitarian aid. She echoed concerns about the resurgence of polio and called on Israel to ensure vaccination efforts can proceed.

The UK's Deputy Permanent Representative, James Kariuki, labeled Gaza as the "most lethal place for children in the world," emphasizing the urgent need for a ceasefire and highlighting recent diplomatic efforts to address the crisis. He stressed the necessity of unified international action to prevent a broader regional crisis.

US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield supported increased humanitarian aid, including polio vaccines, and urged all parties to refrain from actions that could undermine ceasefire negotiations. She underscored the importance of speaking with one voice in the council to ensure the success of the ceasefire talks.

Thursday 22-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The occupying Israeli forces continue to perpetrate the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, for the 321st consecutive day, through carrying out dozens of air raids and artillery bombardment, while committing massacres against civilians, amidst a catastrophic humanitarian situation due to the blockade and the displacement of more than 95% of the population.

Our correspondents reported that the occupation’s aircraft and artillery continued their violent raids and bombardment on Thursday on various parts of the Gaza Strip, targeting homes, displaced persons’ gatherings, and streets, causing dozens of martyrs and wounded.

The occupation forces continue their ground invasion of vast neighborhoods in Rafa'h since last May 7, and several axes in Khan Yunis and Gaza, amid aerial and artillery bombardment and the commission of horrific massacres.

Two young men, succumbed to their wounds after being shot by the occupation’s quadcopter aircraft in Dair El-Bala'h, in the central Gaza Strip.

Five martyrs, including a woman, were killed, and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment near the Bani Suhayla roundabout, east of the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

The UK-Med organization said that its residential compound used to house the Emergency Medical Team (EMT) in Khan Younus, in the humanitarian area in Mawasi Al-Qararah, was damaged by the Israeli bombardment on the night of August 21.

It added that the bombardment caused significant damage to the building, rendering it uninhabitable and unsafe.

The Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli occupation committed 4 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, with 42 martyrs and 163 injuries reaching the hospitals in the past 24 hours.

It confirmed that the toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 40,265 martyrs and 93,144 injuries since October 7, 2023.

It said, “Some of the victims are still under the rubble and on the streets, and the emergency and civil defense teams are unable to reach them.”

A fisherman was martyred after being shot by the occupation gunboats and fell into the sea opposite the site-17 in Deir Al-Balah.

An unidentified martyr reached Nasir Hospital after being shot by the occupation near the city of 'Hamad in Khan Younus.

The occupation army blew up residential buildings south of the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood west of Gaza.

Local sources reported that Al-Zaytoun neighborhood south of Gaza City is witnessing a limited incursion of occupation vehicles accompanied by continuous gunfire, artillery shells, and airstrikes targeting buildings in the intersection square. The mentioned region is witnessing intense gunfire by the Israeli drones and the dropping of explosive bombs from time to time.

In addition, the occupation vehicles are penetrating into the square of the university college south of Gaza.

This morning, the occupation’s warplanes carried out airstrikes that targeted areas east of Dair El-Bala'h in the central Gaza Strip.

At dawn today, 6 martyrs fell due to the occupation’s bombing of the Dabakah family home in the Al-Bataniya neighborhood, in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp, in the central Gaza Strip.

Medical sources confirmed the martyrdom of the journalist 'Husam Manal Al-Dabakah, a photojournalist for Al-Quds Channel, after his residential apartment was targeted, and the martyrdom of his wife, children, and a number of other members of his family at dawn today in the Al-Maghazi camp.

Family sources reported the martyrdom of an elderly man, 65 years old, due to the bombing and shooting by the occupation forces on the tents of the displaced west of Khan Yunis, on Wednesday evening, and his body was recovered this morning to join his son Muhammad, who had previously been martyred during this war.

The Civil Defense reported that its teams and medical teams recovered 3 martyrs and injured as a result of the targeting by the Israeli occupation of a residential apartment for the Salman family in Tel Al-Za’tar, north of the Gaza Strip.

The number of martyrs in the massacre committed by the occupation increased after it bombed a home for the 'Hammouda family in Bait Lahya, north of Gaza, to 11 martyrs.

38 Palestinians killed in new Israeli attacks in Gaza

Thursday 22-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Medical sources confirmed the killing of 38 Palestinians in a series of Israeli attacks in various areas of the Gaza Strip, since the morning hours on Wednesday.

The Director General of the Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza affirmed that four citizens were killed and 18 wounded in a new Israeli massacre in Salah al-Din School.

The Civil Defense Society also confirmed that 7 civilians, including 2 children and 5 women, were killed in an Israeli attack on displacement tents in Bani Suhaila town, east of Khan Younus.

13 more Palestinians, including children and women, were killed in Israeli air raids on several areas in Khan Younus, south of the Gaza Strip.

Six other Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli attacks on the eastern areas, targeting a gathering of citizens, homes and lands.

Commenting on the escalated Israeli crimes against displaced people, Hamas Movement condemned “the brutal bombing carried out by the Israeli occupation on Salah al-Din School west of Gaza City.”

The Israeli attack on Salah al-Din School is an insistence on targeting unarmed civilians in shelter and displacement centers, the Movement said.

'Hamas pointed out that the school houses displaced people, noting that targeting it is “an insistence on the war of genocide against the people in the Gaza Strip, and an affirmation of the extremist Zionist government’s terrorist approach in deliberately targeting unarmed civilians in shelter and displacement centers.”

'Hamas renewed its call on the international community, with all its organizations and bodies, “to move forcefully to put an end to the state-sponsored terrorism practiced by the Israeli occupation army against our people for more than ten months.”

It also called for “stopping the barbaric aggression on the Gaza Strip, and holding the Zionist war criminals accountable for their fascist crimes.”

Thursday 22-August-2024

WEST BANK, (PIC)

Fierce clashes erupted on Thursday after Israeli occupation forces (IOF) launched a large-scale raid and arrest campaign across the West Bank.

The confrontations were concentrated in Toulkarm province, as the IOF stormed the city, surrounded two hospitals, and deployed its snipers on buildings’ roof tops, while Israeli heavy vehicles destroyed the infrastructure in the camp western entrance to the camp amid the eruption of armed clashes, leading to the injury of a young man.

Meanwhile, the IOF bombed a house in the suburb of Iktaba to the east of Toulkarm, after besieging it on Thursday morning.

The IOF also deployed its military vehicles on Nablus Street in the suburb of Dthenaba, amid confrontations by resistance fighters who detonated several homemade explosive devices at IOF military vehicles, leading to the injury of an Israeli soldier, according to Israeli media.

In a similar context, the IOF carried out several arrests including a minor from the town of Dair Balout near Salfeet, four young men from Nablus Governorate and a martyr’s brother in Qalqilya.

Israeli occupation forces inflict widespread destruction in Toulkarm refugee camp

TULKARM, Thursday, August 22, 2024 (WAFA) –

The recent Israeli military offensive in the Toulkarm refugee camp has resulted in widespread destruction to infrastructure and private property, according to local sources.

Additionally, the aggression has resulted in the murder of three local Palestinians by the Israeli forces. Several others have been injured, and their transfer to hospitals was delayed due to Israeli occupation forces blocking ambulance access to the camp.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that its teams managed to treat two individuals who sustained shrapnel injuries during the raid: a five-year-old girl and a 37-year-old man.

Additionally, a young man was injured after being run over by a military jeep while walking on a street in Toulkarm. He was also transported to hospital by the Red Crescent.

According to Faisal Salama, head of the Popular Committee for Tulkarm Refugee Camp Services, the situation in the camp is dire. He reported extensive damage to streets, infrastructure, and private property, including sewage systems, water, electricity, and communications.

Salama described the camp as a disaster zone, with Israeli forces committing what he termed as war crimes. The camp has become a battlefield with indiscriminate gunfire targeting anything moving, and snipers positioned on high buildings both within the camp and in the surrounding areas.

Salama pointed out that Israeli forces have cut off the camp from its surroundings by blocking entrances and bulldozing streets, making pedestrian movement nearly impossible.

Since early this morning, Israeli bulldozers have been destroying infrastructure in various parts of the camp. Public and private properties, including homes and shops, have been deliberately destroyed. The Israeli forces also demolished the wall of the UNRWA health clinic and the perimeter wall of the Al-'Awda Hall in the camp.

Meantime, the PRCS’s Director of Emergency Medical Services in Toulkarm reported ongoing obstructions from Israeli forces, which have forced them to remain at the camp’s edges. Despite receiving reports of injuries from inside the camp, evacuations have been limited, with only the three slain individuals being transported to the hospital with the help of local volunteers.
