While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

'Hamdan: Netanyahu hinders reaching a ceasefire agreement

Tuesday 20-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The High-ranking 'Hamas official Osama 'Hamdan said on Monday his Movement had previously agreed to the US President Joe Biden’s proposal to end the war in Gaza, but the US administration failed to persuade the Israeli premier Benjamin Netanyahu to accept it, stressing that “the Israelis retracted certain issues in Biden’s proposal.”

In an interview with Al-Jazeera on Monday, 'Hamdan noted that “what the US is doing is just buying more time to continue the Israeli genocide in Gaza.”

'Hamdan pointed out that the agreement must achieve five specific goals including halting the aggression, withdrawing from the Gaza Strip, and reconstructing Gaza, stressing that the mediators will inform the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Hamas respects its obligations and what it had agreed upon on July 2.

The Hamas senior official said that Netanyahu responded to Hamas’s approval to ceasefire proposals with ongoing massacres, stressing that he is the one who obstructs the agreement.

Speaking at a press conference in Tel Aviv on Monday evening, Blinken claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the proposal presented by Washington during the last round of negotiations in Doha, considering that Hamas must now accept the proposal regarding a potential ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal.

For his part, Netanyahu said in a statement issued by his office following Blinken’s remarks, that Israel is seeking to release the largest possible number of prisoners in the first stage of the deal.

Palestinian factions hold US administration responsible for genocide crimes in Gaza

Tuesday 20-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Palestinian factions condemned on Tuesday the brutal massacre committed by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) after bombing the Mustafa Hafez School, which houses hundreds of displaced families west of Gaza City, holding the US administration responsible for the ongoing genocide crimes in Gaza.

“The criminal bombing carried out by the fascist Zionist occupation army is a confirmation of its government’s criminal approach, and its insistence on continuing the genocide war against our people in the Gaza Strip,” Hamas Movement said in a statement.

The Movement reiterated that it holds “President [Joe] Biden and his administration fully responsible for the continuation of these massacres against our people.”

“These crimes would not have continued without the full American complicity and the political and military support it provides to the Zionist extremist government.”

Hamas also called on the international community, the United Nations and its institutions to stop these ongoing crimes and violations against defenseless civilians.

For its part, the Islamic Jihad Movement said that the Israeli massacre in Mustafa Hafez School is an evidence of the Biden administration’s green light to Israel to commit more massacres.

“The deception practiced by the Biden administration in the negotiations rounds aims to impose the dictates of the Netanyahu government on the Palestinian people.”

Along the same line, the media office of the Resistance Committees in Palestine confirmed that the massacre was carried out “with the blessing of the criminal Blinken and with a green light from the fascist Biden administration.”

Earlier Tuesday, 12 Palestinians were killed and many others remained under the rubble, while dozens were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the Mustafa Hafez School west of Gaza City, which houses 700 displaced people.

'Hamas: Biden remarks on 'Hamas backing away from ceasefire deal are misleading allegations

Tuesday 20-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The 'Hamas Movement said the US President Joe Biden and his foreign minister Antony Blinken’s recent claims that Hamas was backing away from a ceasefire truce deal are misleading allegations.

'Hamas said in a press statement on Tuesday that the misleading claims do not reflect the true position of the Movement which is keen on reaching a ceasefire agreement.

The Movement stressed that Biden’s remarks reflect a clear American bias towards Israel and Washington’s complicity in the war of genocide against defenseless civilians in the Gaza Strip, in an attempt to liquidate the Palestinian cause.

The Movement called Biden’s claims an “American green light for the Zionist extremist government to commit more crimes against defenseless civilians.”

Hamas further explained that what was recently proposed constitutes a coup against the previous framework which was reached on July 2 and outlined by Biden himself on May 31 based on the Security Council Resolution No. 2735 (June 11).

Palestinian journalist Hamza Murtaja killed in Israeli airstrike on Gaza school

Tuesday 20-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian Government Media Office (PGMO) in Gaza announced the martyrdom of journalist Hamza Abdul Ra'hman Murtaja, which brings the number of journalists who have been martyred to 170 journalists since the beginning of the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.

Murtaja was killed alongside 12 people after an Israeli airstrike targeted the Mustafa Hafez School in Gaza City, where displaced people were seeking shelter.

Murtaja was a photographer and journalist working for several media outlets, and is the brother of the journalist Yasir Murtaja, who was killed by an Israeli sniper on April 6, 2018, while covering the “Return March” east of Khan Younus in the southern Gaza Strip.

In a press statement on Tuesday, the PGMO condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli deliberate targeting and killing of Palestinian journalists.

The GMO called on the international community and organizations concerned with journalistic work to deter the Israeli aggression, bring Israeli officials to international courts, push for halting the war of genocide and stop the crime of killing and assassinating Palestinian journalists.

Israel envoy to the UN, Gilad Erdan, says UN building ‘should be wiped off the face of Earth’

NEW YORK, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 (WAFA) –

The United Nations headquarters in New York should “wiped off the face of the earth,” Israeli Ambassador to UN Gilad Erdan said Tuesday.

“The UN building should be closed and wiped off from the face of the earth," Erdan told Israeli daily Maariv in an interview.

"This building, which may look nice from the outside, is actually twisted and distorted," he said.

The Israeli daily pointed out that this was not the first time for Erdan to attack the United Nations.

Last month, Erdan was quoted saying: "We must take unprecedented steps against the UN, such as closing the UN compound in Jerusalem and expelling the heads of the agencies stationed in Israel, to send a clear and unequivocal message that the continued bias and exploitation of the UN against Israel will come at a price."

Seeing himself leading the Likud Party after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Erdan has previously criticized UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the UN agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

Erdan’s remarks came as Israel has proceeded with its genocidal offensive on the war-torn Strip in complete disregard of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which ordered Israel in a legally binding decision to halt its military offensive in Rafah, which may violate its obligations under the Genocide Convention.

Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, killing at least 40,173 Palestinians and injuring over 92,857 others.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

Palestinian and international organizations say that the majority of those killed and wounded are women and children.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.

Dozens of martyrs, wounded on 319th day of Israel’s war of genocide on Gaza

Tuesday 20-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation army continued committing more genocide crimes in the Gaza Strip on the 319th day of its war on the war-torn enclave on Tuesday, by launching dozens of airstrikes and artillery shelling

The PIC correspondents reported that Israeli airstrikes have left dozens of civilians as martyrs and wounded amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation due to the ongoing siege and the displacement of more than 95% of the population.

Medical sources reported that 13 citizens were martyred in relentless airstrikes on Khan Younus, in the southern Gaza Strip, while five others were martyred in the shelling that targeted displaced people in the same province.

'Hamas mourns a group of companions, assistants of martyr Ismail Haneyya

Tuesday 20-August-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Hamas Movement mourned a group of companions and office assistants of the late head of Hamas political bureau, martyr Isma'eel Haniyya, who were martyred in an Israeli airstrike near his home in Gaza’s Al-Shati refugee camp.

'Hamas said in a press statement on Monday evening, “this crime shows the scale of Israeli malevolence for everyone who is affiliated with the Hamas late leader Ismail Haniyya.”

The Movement stressed that the ongoing Israeli crimes and massacres will not weaken the Palestinian resistance, pledging to carry on with resistance until liberation.

On Monday evening, Israeli warplanes bombed a gathering of citizens near Haniyya’s house west of Gaza, leading to the martyrdom of nine martyrs including six of Haniyya’s aides and assistants, one of them was martyred along with his daughter.

The Israeli sudden attack set fire to several displacement tents in the Al-Qarara area, northwest of Khan Younus.

Local sources told the PIC correspondent that the Israeli occupation forces, stationed near 'Hamad City west of Khan Younus, opened machine gunfire amid heavy artillery shelling, towards the Al-Mawasi area, which has been claimed to be a “safe humanitarian zone”, and accordingly was sheltering tens of thousands of displaced people in worn tents.

Since early Tuesday morning, the vicinity of 'Hamad City, which houses thousands of displaced people, as well as the Al-Mawasi area, has been witnessing violent bombing and shooting from Israeli quadcopter planes, leading to the martyrdom of a number of citizens, including an 8-month-old infant, in addition to the injury of dozens of others.

Meanwhile, Israeli artillery shelled the Al-Buraij refugee camp in the central Strip, injuring a number of civilians, at a time when the occupation authorities blew up several residential towers in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza.

Four civilians killed in Israeli aerial and artillery strikes on central Gaza

GAZA, Tuesday, August 20, 2024 (WAFA) -

Four civilians were killed today in intense Israeli aerial and artillery strikes targeting the eastern parts of the city of Dair El-Bala'h, in the center of the Gaza Strip.

According to medical sources, four civilians were brought to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, following an Israeli bombing of a building east of Dair El-Bala'h. Victims are still missing under the rubble.

The occupation’s aggression on the Gaza Strip, by land, sea and air, since October 7, 2023, has so far resulted in the killing of 40,173 civilians and the injury of 92,857 others.

Thousands of victims are still buried under rubble and scattered on the roads, as ambulance and civil defense teams face tremendous difficulties in reaching them.

Casualty data in Gaza are incomplete due to the ongoing intensive Israeli aggression, the repeated and complete interruption of communication and internet services, the lack of fuel and heavy machinery, devastated infrastructure and the mass amount of debris, which render it difficult to document figures.
