While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (October 7, 2023-Fruary 26, 2024), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

FAO warns of rapidly deteriorating food security in Gaza

Sunday 7-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) issued a warning on Saturday that the rapid deterioration of the food security situation in the Gaza Strip has reached a critical stage, with indications of an imminent famine in the north.

In a post on its “X” platform account, the UN organization stated, “For the first time since the escalation of hostilities, our teams have succeeded in delivering the much-needed animal feed to Gaza.”

The FAO emphasized that the collapse of agricultural food value chains has led to a rapid deterioration of the food security situation, reaching a critical stage with indications of a famine in the north.

The UN organization stated, “The delivery of animal feed to Gaza is aimed at providing nutrition solutions.”

As a result of the war and Israeli restrictions, the population of Gaza, especially in Gaza City and the north, is on the brink of famine, with severe shortages of food, water, medicine, and fuel. This is compounded by the displacement of over two million Palestinians from the besieged territory, which has been under Israeli blockade for 17 years.

Hamas delegation heads to Cairo to resume negotiations on Gaza

Saturday 6-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Hamas Movement announced that its delegation, led by senior Hamas official Khalil al-Hayya, will fly to Cairo on Sunday in response to an Egyptian invitation to resume Gaza ceasefire talks.

The Movement affirmed in a statement on Saturday its adherence to the position it presented on March 14, which demands a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces from Gaza, the return of the displaced to their places of residence, ensuring the freedom of movement of people, providing relief and shelter, and reaching a serious prisoner exchange deal.

Delegations from the United States and Israel, in addition to Egyptian and Qatari mediators, will participate in the negotiations that will begin on Sunday.

CIA Director William Burns, Head of Mossad David Barnea, and negotiators from Egypt and Qatar are expected to attend the talks.

The New York Times quoted a senior US official as saying that President Joe Biden wrote to the leaders of Egypt and Qatar urging them to “increase pressure on Hamas to reach a deal with Israel that would lead to a temporary ceasefire in Gaza and the release of hostages held there.”

On Laylatul-Qadr, Israeli police assault worshipers at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Saturday 6-April-2024

Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), (PIC)

Israeli police attacked a number of worshipers on Friday evening near Lions Gate, one of the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), after they performed the evening and Tarawee'h prayers on the Night of Power known as “Laylatul-Qadr”.

Eyewitnesses told Anadolu Agency, Israeli police forces assaulted a number of Palestinian young men after the evening and Tarawee'h prayers were over, resulting in two young men sustaining minor bruises.

On Friday night, 200,000 worshipers celebrated “Laylatul-Qadr” in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite Israeli restrictions.

The night, which Muslims hope was the Night of Power, witnessed the largest number of worshipers entering Al-Aqsa Mosque since the start of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip last October, according to Anadolu Agency.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Israeli police doubled their presence at the gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City of Occupied Jerusalem, especially at the Lions and Silsila Gates.

Israeli occupation authority (IOA) allowed only a small number of West Bank residents to enter the mosque to perform prayers, permitting only Palestinian men over the age of 55 and women over the age of 50 to enter Jerusalem on Fridays.

The IOA obliged worshipers from the West Bank to leave Jerusalem before the time of the sunset prayer, preventing them from celebrating Laylatul-Qadr in the holy site.

Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission: Israel misleads international community regarding construction of new settlements

RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 7, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Palestinian Colonization & Wall Resistance Commission said today that the Israeli occupation is deceiving the international community regarding the construction of new settlements by spreading lies.

Muayyad Sh'aban, the head of the commission, explained that many recent plans issued by the Israeli occupation's planning authorities claim to be aimed at expanding existing settlements. However, upon reviewing the maps of these announced plans, it becomes apparent that they intend to build new settlements that are geographically distinct from the settlements they claim to be expanding.

Sh'aban stated that last week, the Israeli occupation introduced a structural plan bearing number 2/6/510 to reorganize an industrial area for residential use in favor of the Kiryat Arba illegal Israeli settlement, built illegally on Palestinian lands east of the city of Hebron.

However, upon reviewing the maps related to the structural plan, it was revealed that the targeted land plot is located in an area seized in 1982 and is significantly far from Kiryat Arba.

This is the same location where settlers established a settlement outpost called Matspe Afihai in 2018, indicating the occupation's intention to legitimize what the settlers have done and establish a new settlement on the lands of the village of Beit Einun north of Hebron.

Sh'aban highlighted that June 2022 saw a similar move in the Bethlehem Governorate, when a new structural plan was submitted to expand the Har Gilo settlement, built on Palestinian lands. This plan, numbered 1/4/401, aimed to build 952 new settlement units.

However, it turned out that the Israeli occupation concealed its intention to build a new settlement named Carmel to isolate the towns of Al-Walaja and Batitr in the province.

He emphasized that through these types of plans and the range of allegations they promote, the Israeli occupation seeks to mislead the international community by distorting facts and concealing its actions aimed at imposing realities on the ground.

The primary objective, said Shaban, is to undermine the possibility of establishing a Palestinian state, fragment the Palestinian geography, and isolate the Palestinian villages, towns, and cities, rendering them inhabitable.

Prisoners Affairs Authority urges women's organizations to save Palestinian women from Israeli persecution

RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 7, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority has called upon local, regional, and international women's organizations, as well as associations and unions dedicated to women's rights, to amplify their voices in saving Palestinian women from the targeting, persecution, and detention by the Israeli occupation authorities.

In a statement issued today, the authority outlined that the daily Israeli military raids on the homes of former female prisoners have become a consistent tactic, as the occupation seeks to enforce a policy of deterrence and revenge against Palestinian women and girls through arrests, physical assault, humiliation, intimidation, and the deliberate destruction of their homes.

The authority condemned Israel's recent escalation in the pursuit of former female prisoners. The latest incident occurred during the night and early morning hours today, where large-scale Israeli forces stormed the city of Ramallah and the town of Beer Zait to the north, arresting the former female prisoners Layan Kayid and Layan Nasir, both students at Beer Zait University.

The authority called for concrete steps to pressure governments and parliaments to fulfill their responsibilities towards addressing the denial of rights to Palestinian women and girls by the occupation. It emphasized the need for the occupation to be held accountable for its crimes against them.

Highlighting the recent notable increase in Israel's arrests of Palestinian women and girls, the authority noted that these arrests are driven by punitive and retaliatory motives. Additionally, they are often used as hostages and bargaining chips against their spouses, siblings, and parents.

There are a total of 81 Palestinian women in Israeli prisons, with the majority held in Damon Prison under complex living and health conditions.

UNICEF says Israel's onslaught on Gaza has killed over 13,000 children

RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 7, 2024 (WAFA) –

The Executive Director of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Catherine Russell, has described the scale and pace of destruction in the Gaza Strip as shocking.

Russell said in a post on X that the war on Gaza has resulted in the killing of more than 13,000 children and countless injuries. She noted that the aggression has claimed the lives of teachers, doctors, and humanitarian workers.

The UN official urged an immediate cessation of hostilities in Gaza, stating that homes, schools, and hospitals have been destroyed, warning that famine in Gaza is imminent.

By April 6, 2024, the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7th has resulted in the killing of 33,137 Palestinian citizens, mostly children and women, and the injury of more than 75,815 others, according to a preliminary toll.

Israel deliberately targets Palestinian women and children, says Minister

RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 7, 2024 (WAFA) –

Palestinian Minister of Women's Affairs, Mona Al-Khaleeli, said that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately target women and children in Gaza and the West Bank.

Al-Khalieeli added in a press statement on Sunday that Palestinian women in the Gaza Strip are suffering from the most dangerous and harsh conditions in decades, as a result of deteriorating health and living conditions, displacement, and lack of shelter, in addition to the lack of food and water.

She pointed out that 9,560 female citizens were killed since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, out of a total number of fatalities of 33,175, according to statistics issued by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Al-Khalieeli indicated that there are approximately 15,000 pregnant women currently in the Gaza Strip, 95% of whom do not eat sufficient amounts of food, which increases health risks to the mother and fetus.

She added that there are about a million forcibly displaced women who face exacerbated protection risks in shelter centers that lack basic necessities and privacy, amid separation from family support networks, adding that there are approximately 37 mothers killed every day, leaving behind devastated families and displaced children.

The statement pointed out that 8,100 women will give birth next month in the Gaza Strip, noting that restrictions on movement are still in place and the dismemberment of cities continues, hindering access to vital health and social services, ambulance movement, and the provision of humanitarian services.

In the West Bank, Al-Khaleeli said that the occupation forces displaced 1,620 Palestinian families, including 710 children, in the West Bank, including Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem), due to the policy of demolishing homes.

UN rapporteur: Security Council's resolution on Gaza ceasefire must be implemented

GENEVA, Sunday, April 7, 2024 (WAFA) -

UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, said last night that the United Nations Security Council's resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza is entirely binding and must be implemented.

Albanese said in a press statement that there has been no clear action regarding the cessation of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and it should be achieved as soon as possible, emphasizing that Security Council resolutions are fully binding and must therefore be enforced.

She stressed that "there are many things that must be done" to ensure the flow of aid into Gaza, including the opening of all crossings, adding, "It seems to me that we have not reached this stage yet because a ceasefire has not been declared."

Albanese pointed out that Israel, the occupying power, bears the responsibility of ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, but it has not fulfilled these obligations.

Expressing her concerns about Israel's plan for a ground assault on the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, Albanese said, "An attack on Rafah would be a disaster upon a disaster, and a disaster within a disaster."

Gaza: Death toll surges to 33,175 martyrs

Sunday 7-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The health ministry in Gaza said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army committed four massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 38 civilians and injuring over 71 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but only 109 of them, including 38 martyrs, were transported to hospitals.

The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 33,175 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 75,886 people.

The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7.

Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

Israeli army kills four Gazan children each hour

Sunday 7-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Israeli occupation forces kill an average of four Palestinian children every hour in the war-torn Gaza Strip, according to recent Palestinian official statistics.

According to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, there are more than 14,350 child martyrs, constituting 44 percent of the total number of martyrs (over 33,000) in Gaza.

Additionally, women and children constituted 70 percent of the missing persons in Gaza as a result of the Israeli aggression, totaling 7,000 individuals, while 43,349 children live in Gaza without one or both of their parents.

In a related context, James Elder, spokesman for the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), has said that more than 600,000 children in Rafa'h, south of Gaza, suffer from hunger and fear, and are facing the risk of an Israeli attack.

“Rafa'h is a city for children. There are 600,000 boys and girls, yet they are under threat of military assault, trapped in Rafa'h, with no safe place to go,” Elder stated.

On its X platform, UNICEF published a video of its spokesman talking about the suffering of children trying to survive in Rafa'h under Israeli attacks after 1.5 million displaced people were told by the Israeli army to go there.

Elder pointed out that Palestinian parents try every day to give hope to their children despite fear and hunger, stressing that the word “hope” is at risk of being deleted from the dictionary in Gaza.

He called on everyone who feels the pain and fear of Gazan parents towards their children and everyone who believes in childhood to stop this suffering in Rafa'h.

Several Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured late last night in a series of Israeli genocidal airstrikes and artillery bombardments on the cities of Khan Younus and Rafa'h in the southern Gaza Strip, marking the 184th day of the ongoing aggression.

According to local reports, Israeli warplanes carried out intense airstrikes on civilian homes in the Al-Junaina neighborhood in Rafa'h, as well as in Khan Younus in the south of the enclave.

WAFA correspondents reported that the Israeli troops opened intensive gunfire towards the village of Al-Zanna and the town of Bani Suhayla, east of Khan Younus, resulting in the killing and injury of several Palestinian citizens.

Additionally, at least two civilians were injured in an Israeli airstrike in the vicinity of a house near the Al-Istiqama Mosque, located  in the Al-Junaina neighborhood east of Rafa'h.

Earlier in the night, Israeli warplanes carried out multiple airstrikes on various areas west of Khan Younus, targeting a group of civilians near the Turkish slaughterhouse to the west, resulting in the killing and injury of dozens of civilians.
