While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (October 7, 2023-Fruary 26, 2024), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

Japan resumes funding to UNRWA

Wednesday 3-April-2024

TOKYO, (PIC)

Japan has announced it will lift its suspension of funding to the UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA, whose efforts are needed to confront the humanitarian crisis in the war-torn Gaza Strip.

Japanese foreign minister Yoko Kamikawa, who met UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini last week, confirmed the resumption of funding to UNRWA in a news conference.

“Japan will lift the moratorium on its financial contributions to UNRWA and provide assistance while ensuring and confirming the appropriateness of Japan’s funds,” Kamikawa told reporters on Tuesday.

She said the agency’s role in Gaza is “indispensable” as it works to improve governance and manage risks, adding that about $35 million of originally planned funding is ready to be released.

The European Commission, Canada, Australia, Sweden and Finland have also lifted similar funding pauses in recent weeks.

Japan was one of 16 countries that suspended funding to UNRWA after the Israeli government claimed that 12 of the agency’s staff participated in Hamas’s cross-border operation on October 7, 2023.

The Israeli government, which has sought for long years to shut down the agency and undermine its mission, alleged later that more than 450 UNRWA employees are “military operatives in terror groups in Gaza.”

Similar claims have also been made repeatedly by the Israeli government to justify the massive killing and kidnapping operations that have been carried out by its army in Gaza.

The UN, which has launched an investigation into such claims against its employees, has said Israel has not provided it with evidence to support the allegations.

6,050 Palestinian students killed since October 7

Wednesday 3-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

6,050 students have been killed and 10,219 wounded in Gaza and the occupied West Bank by Israeli attacks since October 7, the Palestinian Ministry of Education revealed on Tuesday.

In Gaza, 5,994 have been killed and 9,890 wounded, while in the occupied West Bank, 56 students have been killed and 329 injured. 105 others were detained in the West Bank as well.

The ministry added that 266 teachers and school administrators have been killed and 973 injured in Gaza, while six have been injured and more than 73 arrested in the occupied West Bank.

The ministry further pointed out that 351 government schools and 65 UNRWA-run schools were bombed and vandalized in the Gaza Strip; 111 of them were severely damaged, and 40 schools were completely destroyed, while 57 schools were stormed and vandalized in the West Bank.

The Ministry confirmed that 620,000 students in the Gaza Strip are still deprived of enrolling in their schools since the beginning of the aggression, while most of the students suffer from psychological trauma and face difficult health conditions.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll since the start of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip has risen to 32,916 Palestinians, and 75,494 wounded. More than 72% of the victims were women and children.

Most UNSC members condemn Israeli attack on Iran's consulate

April 3, 2024, New York, IRNA -

In an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council, most representatives except westerners and few of their allies have condemned the Israeli regime for its deadly airstrike on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, warning that the regime's action could cause further unrest and chaos in the region.

According to IRNA's correspondent, Russia's ambassador and representative to the UN, Vassily Nebenzia during the security council meeting, deplored the Israeli attack, saying it will intensify regional conflicts.

Russia: Israel has targeted civilians

Russia's envoy to the UN said his country condemns the targeting of Iran’s embassy building in the strongest possible terms, adding that “we never approve of an attack on diplomatic mission”.

The diplomatic immunity of embassy employees should be respected based on the 1963 Vienna Convention, Nebenzia stated but acknowledged that this is not the first Israeli attack on civilians in Syria.

Since the October 7th last year until today, we have witnessed the multiplication of Israeli actions against civilians and over the past few months, Israeli jets have targeted various airports, including in Damascus, which has been the gateway for the UN humanitarian aid to the Arab country.

China: Israeli actions will lead to more chaos

China’s deputy representative to the United Nations also condemned the Israeli action, calling it a violation of Syria's territorial integrity.

Twenty years ago, the Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia was targeted by an American airstrike and several people were killed. We understand the pain and sadness caused to the people of Iran as a result of Monday’s attack, and we express our sympathy to them, Geng Shuang underlined.

He further stated that Israel's action is a gross violation of the Vienna Convention and that it should not be allowed to take such reckless move against diplomatic missions.

Algeria: Israeli violation cannot be tolerated

The ambassador and permanent representative of Algeria to the United Nations also expressed his sympathy and condolences for the Iranian military advisors who were killed in the Israeli attack on the Iranian consular building in Damascus.

"Such cases of the violation of international obligations by the occupying Israeli regime cannot be justified or tolerated," Amar Bendjama told the Security Council.

He noted that the Israeli attack in Syria at the time when Israel is facing pressure for a ceasefire in Gaza, shows a deliberate disregard of the request of the international community to stop hostilities.

The aim of such a deliberate action is obvious as Israel intends to drag the entire region into conflict and it shows the occupying Israeli regime’s feeling of immunity and considering itself above international law, the Algerian diplomat emphasized.

Western silence on Israeli attack

The ambassadors and representatives of the United States, Britain and France, the three veto-welding UN Security Council members refrained from condemning the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate, which led to the sharp reaction from the Russian ambassador to the UN.

In this meeting, France without condemning the Israel crime, called for restraint. The Russian envoy took a jab at the French representative and said: You did not say a word in condemning the violation of international laws by Israel. If your own consulate was targeted, would you have reacted the same way?

Nebenzia also targeted the United States and said Washington is always proud of getting the first-hand information, but it did not get anything regarding the attack on the Iranian consulate, and this is unbelievable.

Reaction came after the deputy ambassador of the United States to the UN said that "Washington had no involvement" in Monday’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria and "had no initial knowledge of the attack".

According to IRNA's reporter, Robert Wood also refused to confirm Israel's involvement in the attack in his speech on Tuesday evening local time.

The American diplomat rather repeated baseless anti-Iranian claims and as usual accused Iran of fueling tensions and using Israel's war on Gaza as a cover to launch attacks against Israel through regional resistance groups.

The UK’s deputy ambassador to the UN also without condemning the action of the Israeli regime said that London is worried about the potential escalation of tensions in the region.

James Kariuki also used anti-Iran rhetoric in his speech and blamed Iran for supporting “resistance groups such as Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and Houthis as well as those in Syria and Iraq."

The Swiss representative said at the emergency meeting that these actions have raised the level of tension in the region but avoided condemning the Israeli regime.

Most of the representatives participating in this meeting condemned Israel’s act of aggression, but the three permanent representatives namely the United States, Britain and France as well as two non-permanent members, Japan and South Korea refrained from condemning the attack of the Zionist regime on the Iranian diplomatic mission in Syria.

UN report: Gaza infrastructure damages estimated at $18.5 billion

Wednesday 3-April-2024

NEW YORK, (PIC)

The cost of damage to critical infrastructure in the first four months of Israel’s continuing war on Gaza is estimated at about $18.5 billion, a new report by the World Bank and the United Nations has found.

The report estimated that the damage was equivalent to 97 percent of the combined GDP of the occupied West Bank and Gaza in 2022.

“The level of destruction in the Gaza Strip since October 2023 is unprecedented,” the Interim Damage Assessment Note released on Tuesday said.

The continuing conflict has damaged or destroyed approximately 62 percent of all homes in Gaza, equivalent to 290,820 housing units, and more than a million people are without homes. Housing accounts for 72 percent of the total damage costs, at an estimated value of $13.3bn.

Public service infrastructure, such as water, health and education, account for 19 percent, while commercial and industrial buildings make up 9 percent.

The energy, water and municipal sectors have suffered nearly $800m in damages and the water and sanitation system has been significantly reduced, delivering less than 5 percent of its previous output.

With 84 percent of health facilities damaged or destroyed, and a lack of electricity and water to operate the remaining ones, the population has minimal access to healthcare, the report found.

The education system has collapsed, with all of Gaza’s 625,000 students out of school. Damage to education infrastructure amounts to $341m as an estimated 56 school facilities have been destroyed and 219 partially damaged.

Additionally, 26 million metric tons of debris and rubble have been left in the wake of the destruction, an amount that is estimated to take years to remove.

“To date, 80 percent of total damages were concentrated in the governorates of Gaza, North Gaza, and Khan Yunis,” the report said, noting that significant damage was also recorded in Beit Lahiya and Rafah governorates.

“The municipality of Gaza alone accounted for US$7.29 billion of total damage, with Jabalya following at $2.01 billion, Khan Yunis at US$1.82 million, and Beit Lahiya accounting for US$1.08 billion of the total,” it said.

Such costs “are expected to increase substantially along with the magnitude of damages as the conflict continues. This is particularly true in the south of the Gaza Strip, which has seen greater destruction in recent weeks,” it added.

The assessment, conducted with support from the European Union, used remote data collection sources and analytics to provide a preliminary estimate of damages to physical structures in Gaza from the conflict.

These initial findings are likely to be an underestimate of the real damages, losses, and needs, which the organizations said would require a second analysis “as the situation allows.”

The report called for an increase in humanitarian assistance, food aid, and food production, the provision of shelter and housing solutions for displaced people; and the resumption of essential services.

Hamas: Our people reject any presence of non-Palestinian parties on their land

Tuesday 2-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

Member of the 'Hamas political bureau 'Izzat Al-Rishiq has categorically denied what was claimed by some media outlets that his Movement accepts the presence of UN elements charged with monitoring the ceasefire and the distribution of humanitarian aid in the Gaza Strip.

In a statement on Monday, Al-Rishiq described claims made in this regard by Al-'Arabiya Al-'Hadath satellite channel as “unfounded and untrue.”

The 'Hamas official affirmed that his Movement only demands the presence of international bodies and organizations in Gaza, especially UNRWA, to deliver aid and assistance.

As for a ceasefire, he stressed the need for countries guaranteeing that the Israeli occupation would honor any agreement reached in this regard.

He reiterated that the Palestinian people reject any presence of non-Palestinian parties on their land.

The IOFs also stormed Qibya town in western Ramallah and kidnaped the mother of martyr A'hmed Yaseen Ghaidan and her sons Abdul-Hadi and Sulayman from their home.

Two other young citizens were taken prisoners during the same IOFs raid in Qibya town, while two brothers from the family of Al-Faransi were kidnaped from their home in Al-Balou' neighborhood in Al-Beerih City.

In Toubas, a large number of Israel troops stormed Al-Fari’ah refugee camp and bulldozed roads and infrastructure, amid armed clashes with resistance fighters.

In Nablus, two young men were kidnaped following IOFs raids on homes in different areas of Nablus City.

Photojournalist among 30 Palestinians detained by Israeli occupation forces in West Bank raids

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, April 03, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces predawn Wednesday detained at least 30 Palestinians in multiple raids across the occupied West Bank, according to the Prisoners Affairs Committee and the Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

They said in a press release that among the detainees were Asmaa 'Huraish, a photojournalist, the mother of a slain Palestinian, former prisoners in addition to a number of Gaza workers, who were detained from the city of Ramallah.

This brings the total number of Palestinians detained since October 7, 2023 to over 7,990, noting that this number includes those who have been detained from their houses and at checkpoints, in addition to those who were forced to turn themselves in and those who were held as hostages.

As part of the detention raids, the occupation forces rounded up five Palestinians, all members of the Al-Golani family, from the Shu'fat refugee camp, north of Jerusalem.

The occupation forces re-arrested two former prisoners after breaking into the houses of their families in 'Hizma town, northeast of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

The raid triggered confrontations, during which the soldiers opened fire towards local youths attempting to block their entry.

In Bait La'hm (Bethlehem) district, the sources confirmed a raid in 'Husan town, west of Bait La'hm (Bethlehem), resulting in the detention of two.

In Al-Khaleel (Hebron) district, the gun-toting soldiers barged their way into Al-'Arroub refugee camp and 'Hal'houl town, north of the southern West Bank city, tampered with the contents of several houses and detained three.

They rounded up another from Dura town, southwest of Hebron.

Meanwhile, the soldiers showed up at a house in the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya, muscled inside, conducted a thorough search and eventually rounded up another.

Several other raids were conducted in the city of Nablus, 'Azzoun and Kafr Qaddoum towns, east of Qalqilya, as well as the Al-Fari‘a refugee camp, south of Toubas.

During the raid in Al-Fari‘a camp, military bulldozers razed streets and the entrances of stores, causing extensive damage.

Israeli occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.

According to the latest figures from Addhameer, the Palestinian Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, there are currently 9,100 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 51 female prisoners and 200 children.

This number includes approximately 3,558 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, that allows the detention of Palestinians without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence that even a detainee’s lawyer is barred from viewing.

Mass detention of Palestinians is nothing new. According to a 2017 report by Addhameer, over the past 50 years, more than 800,000 Palestinians have been imprisoned or detained by Israel, this figure is now believed to be closer to 1 million. This means that about 40% of Palestinian men and boys living under military occupation have been deprived of their freedom. Almost every Palestinian family has suffered the imprisonment of a loved one.

Israeli occupation forces block roads, destroy water networks in Nablus-district village

NABLUS, Wednesday, April 03, 2024 (WAFA) –

Israeli occupation forces Tuesday evening blocked several roads and destroyed water networks in Dair Sharaf village, west of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a municipal source.

'Omar Nofal, member of Dair Sharaf Village Council, said that Israeli occupation forces deployed military bulldozers in the village, razing and sealing off several secondary access roads and destroying water supply networks, cutting the water supply to the western part of the village.

The Israeli occupation apartheid regime severely restricts Palestinians’ freedom of movement through a complex combination of approximately 100 fixed checkpoints, flying checkpoints, settler-only roads and various other physical obstructions.

Closures besides to other measures, taken under the guise of security, are intended to entrench Israel’s 57-year-old military occupation of the West Bank and its settler colonial project which it enforces with routine and frequently deadly violence against Palestinians.
