While brutal force has been used to create Zionist Israel and sustain it thus far, Zionist claims to Palestine are false. Actually, from the five thousand years of known written human history, there has been a continuous Palestinian-Canaanite presence in the Holy Land. Despite the Zionist false claims, the ancient Israelites ruled part of the land for only 85 years (during the reign of Prophets David and Solomon , peace be upon them, and Solomon's son).

After that, the Egyptians conquered Palestine-Canaan in 925 BC, followed by Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, and Romans, before the Arab Muslim rule, starting from 636 AD.

By the Time Jesus, peace be upon him, started his mission, the three population groups of Canaanites, Palestinians, and Israelites were melted together in religion and language. Most of them became Christians when Constantine converted in 313 AD. Then, most of them became Muslims in the 7th and 8th centuries AD.

So, Palestinian Muslims, Christians, and Jews are the ones who have the right to claim descent from ancient Israelites, Palestinians, and Canaanites, not Zionists from other continents.

No matter what the Zionists and their supporters do, they cannot change the will of God, Who promised the Holy Land to Abraham and his descendants, basically the Palestinian Muslims and Christians.

No matter how much persecution and aggression the Zionists and their supporters inflict upon the Palestinian people, they will never be able to force them out of the Holy Land, which Allah, praise to Him, promised for them, and kept His promise ever since.

This is a necessary brief background to understand the US-Backed Zionist Israeli continuous wars against the Arab nation generally, and the Palestinian people in particular, which included the wars of 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, 1982, the brutal crushing of the two Uprisings (1987-1993 and 2000-2004), 2009, 2012, 2014, 2021, and the current genocidal war on Gaza (Since October 7, 2023), which has culminated a blockade of Gaza since 2007. In addition, the Israeli occupation and apartheid regime launched so many covert operations, raids, and air strikes on many Arab states since 1948.

The following news stories are just examples, not a systematic record, of the Israeli occupation government abuse, mistreatment, and violations of Palestinian human rights, on daily basis.

Editorial Notes about terms & names of people and places:

1. Names of people and places have been standardized to match standard Arabic grammatical rules.

2. Underlined letters and letters preceded by an apostrophe are references to Arabic letter sounds, which does not exist in the English alphabet.

3. The English letter i is equivalent to the Arabic short vowel known as kasra, as in Ibraheem and Qasim as well as in the English words sit and bit. So, it is incorrect to use it as a long vowel for such Arabic names as Jameel and Jibreel.

4. The English letter e is equivalent to the Arabi short vowel known as fat'ha, as in A'hmed and Mu'hammed.

5. It is more accurate to refer to the
land-grabbing Israelis, who establish illegal settlements in the Palestinian territory of the West Bank, as illegal Israeli settlers, than referring to them as colonists.

The term colony is a reference to a large entity or a country, such as American states before independence. It was also a reference to Egypt, and India, when they were British colonies.

In addition, the term "colony" represents a positive nostalgic theme, in the minds of native speakers of English, particularly in America and Britain.

6. It is more accurate to use the verb "abduct" than the verb "detain," in reference to taking Palestinian citizens by force to prisons and interrogation centers, by Israeli occupation regime soldiers. This is because the presence of the Israeli occupation regime forces is illegal in the Palestinian territories, and they have no jurisdiction over the Palestinian people.

UN official: It could take 14 years to clear rubble from Gaza

Saturday 27-April-2024

LONDON, (PIC)

The United Nations estimated the volume of debris that must be removed from the war-torn Gaza Strip at 37 million tons, noting that these huge quantities require many years to be cleared.

An official at the United Nations Mine Action Service, Pehr Lodhammar said, Israel’s war in Gaza has created 37m tons of debris with an average of 300kg of rubble per a square meter of land in Gaza, noting that 65% of the destroyed buildings in the Strip were residential buildings.

“Based on the current (amount of) debris in Gaza, with 100 trucks we are talking about 14 years of work … to remove it,” Lodhammar said at a United Nations news conference in Geneva.

He stressed that clearing the debris will be dangerous work because of the threat from the unexploded ordnance such as shells, missiles or other weapons buried in collapsed or damaged buildings. On average about 10% of weapons failed to detonate when they were fired and had to be removed by demining teams, Lodhammar said.

For the 204th day in a row, the Israeli occupation forces have been committing crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip by launching dozens of airstrikes and artillery shelling and carrying out bloody massacres and horrific crimes against civilians in the areas of incursion, amid catastrophic humanitarian conditions as a result of the siege and the displacement of most of the population.

Standing in solidarity with Gaza: Hundreds of thousands protesting in London

Saturday 27-April-2024

LONDON, (PIC)

Hundreds of thousands of Britons from all walks of life, united by their unwavering commitment to justice and solidarity, have answered the resounding call for the 13th national solidarity protest with Gaza on Saturday.

This impassioned call to action was issued by the National Coalition for Solidarity with Palestine, a formidable alliance comprising esteemed organizations such as the Palestinian Forum in Britain, the Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War Coalition, Friends of Al-Aqsa, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, and the Muslim Association of Britain.

Anticipation mounts as today’s protest, a testament to the unyielding spirit of the people, has drawn hundreds of thousands of participants. With banners held high and voices raised in unison, the demonstrators converge under a single, resonant slogan, their collective resolve aimed squarely at demanding an immediate halt to arms exports to Israel and renewing the fervent call for a ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip.

The vibrant energy of the protest finds its crescendo in the iconic Hyde Park, where the convergence of voices echoes a powerful message of solidarity and defiance. Yet, amidst the sea of voices advocating for justice, a faint discord arises as a small counter-protest, aligned with proponents of occupation, attempts to undermine the collective will with their simplistic mantra of “Enough.”

'Adnan 'Humaidan, Vice President of the Palestinian Forum in Britain, underscores the urgency of the moment, declaring, “Today, our foremost demand resonates loud and clear: an immediate cessation of arms exports to the occupying state. Since 2015, Britain has been complicit in supplying weapons and spare parts for warplanes that rain destruction upon our people, worth hundreds of millions of pounds.” Determined, 'Humaidan asserts, “The campaign to end arms exports to the occupation transcends the bounds of this protest alone. It is a multifaceted endeavor, encompassing legal avenues, parliamentary petitions, and relentless pressure campaigns, as we have seen on numerous occasions in the past.”

Indeed, Britain stands witness to an enduring wave of solidarity activism, expressed through a myriad of channels including lobbying within the hallowed halls of Parliament, impassioned protests that reverberate through city streets, solemn vigils that speak volumes in silence, and steadfast sit-ins that embody unwavering commitment. In a display of unwavering resolve, some among the British population have even undertaken hunger strikes spanning several days, with one individual persevering for a remarkable three months, all in the name of demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. Amidst the fervor of the moment, calls ring out for accountability, with demands to hold politicians to task for their failures looming large in the looming electoral landscape.

Pro-Palestinian protests continue at colleges across the US: Demands for divestment from Israel intensify

WASHINGTON, Sunday, April 28, 2024 (WAFA) –

For the second consecutive week, students at universities across the United States persist in their peaceful encampments and demonstrations, advocating for an end to the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza and urging their universities to sever ties with Israel and companies supporting its military.

The movement has garnered support from activists both within and outside the campuses.

The protest wave has now reached various universities, including Stanford, Northeastern, George Washington, and notably Columbia University, where the protests initially erupted. Students have erected new encampments and organized accompanying events to galvanize support for halting Israeli aggression.

As the demonstrations gain momentum, they have also crossed borders, spreading to Europe and Australia.

In the United States, university administrations have struggled to contain the demonstrations, resorting to police intervention, with videos emerging from various states depicting forceful arrests of students and faculty members.

At Northeastern University in Boston, police in riot gear dispersed a Gaza solidarity encampment, though without major confrontations. Meanwhile, at Columbia University, where over a hundred activists were previously arrested, the administration faces mounting pressure as protests persist.

Despite false accusations of anti-Semitism, many Jewish activists, including Orthodox Jews, have joined the demonstrations, emphasizing their rejection of complicity in genocide.

The demands for a ceasefire in Gaza and divestment from Israel continue to reverberate across university campuses and beyond, underscoring the growing international solidarity with the Palestinian cause.

World capitals witness massive protests against Israeli aggression on Gaza

RAMALLAH, Saturday, April 27, 2024 (WAFA) –

Numerous capitals and cities worldwide saw massive protests today denouncing the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, now spanning 203 days.

Thousands joined demonstrations organized in Berlin, London, Copenhagen, Helsingborg (Sweden), Vienna, and Tunis in solidarity with the Palestinian people, demanding an end to the ongoing Israeli genocide and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Participants waved Palestinian flags and held banners condemning the atrocities committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people and urging accountability for Israel's massacres, especially against children.

In London, a central rally commenced in front of the Parliament building, with participation from civil society organizations, unions, anti-Zionist Jews, healthcare workers, university students, as well as Northern Ireland's First Minister Michelle O'Neill and the Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, 'Husam Zomlot.

Demonstrators urged the British government to resume its funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) following its suspension due to Israeli allegations.

In the French capital, Paris, students at Sciences Po University shut down the campus on Friday to pressure the university administration to condemn the Israeli war on Gaza. The protest witnessed clashes with pro-Israel supporters in the surrounding streets.

Growing Gaza solidarity encampments at US colleges

Student protests in American universities against the Israeli war on Gaza continue to expand, with dozens of universities and higher education institutions across various US states joining the movement.

The student movement has also spread outside the United States, with students in France, Canada, and Australia starting to mobilize and organize protests calling for an end to the war.

However, students and faculty members have faced repression from authorities and university administrations through coercive administrative measures, facing false accusations of "anti-Semitism" and "hate speech," and the banning of student organizations supporting the Palestinian cause.

Despite security and academic suppression of students, encampments supporting Gaza in American universities have escalated, filling university squares with tents.

The protesting students are demanding a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, an end to US military aid to Israel, the divestment from companies supporting Israel, cessation of academic cooperation with Israeli universities, and the reversal of the repressive measures accompanying the movement.

5th Conference of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds demands an end to the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza

Saturday 27-April-2024

ISTANBUL, (PIC)

Participants in the 5th conference of “Parliamentarians for Al-Quds” in Istanbul called for an end to the Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, and to stand firmly in the face of the Israeli offensive and violations against the Palestinians.

This came in statements addressed to Anadolu agency on the sidelines of the 5th Conference of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds (Jerusalem), which was held on Friday under the title “Freedom and Independence for Palestine,” with the participation of nearly 600 parliamentarians from more than 75 countries and the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who delivered a speech in its opening session.

Abdul Samad Haikar, a Moroccan MP and member of the African Parliament, stressed that the importance of the conference lies in the fact that it represents a popular reaction in the face of the worsening situation and the shift in Israel’s behavior committing offensives criminalized by international law as crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

“We must stand firmly in the face of the military operations carried out by the Israeli occupation army, which target children, women and the elderly,” he said.

For his part, the Speaker of the Parliament of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Zorlu Tore, said, “The countries that we call civilized are watching what is happening, and are even supporting Israel,” adding that “President Erdogan is leading efforts to end the massacre in Gaza in the face of the world’s continued silence. This has turned into a long-term conflict and must be ended.”

Tore concluded his speech by saying, “We attach great importance to the leadership of President Erdogan, and we hope that the Palestinian people will succeed in obtaining their freedom,” expressing his hopes that the massacres against the people of Gaza will come to an end.

For his part, Jamal Qarsali, a former German politician of Syrian origin, expressed his appreciation for the conference and hailed the supportive position of Türkiye.

Commenting on the German positions in support of Israel and supplying it with arms, he said unfortunately Germany is ashamed of its Nazi history and wants to erase it by being part in the oppression of the Palestinians by supporting Israel.

Speeches by the heads of parliaments of many countries who attended the conference were delivered on Friday. The countries included Ivory Coast, Burundi, Gambia, Senegal, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Northern Cyprus, and others. The speeches expressed the countries’ condemnations of the US and Western support of the ongoing Israeli genocidal attacks on the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, demanding an immediate ceasefire in the Strip.

Palestinian Health Ministry calls for int’l action to save Gazans from spreading diseases

Saturday 27-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The Palestinian health ministry in Gaza has warned that waste pile-up and sewage overflow as a result of Israel’s ongoing genocidal war on Gaza Strip will lead to a health disaster.

In a statement on Saturday, the health ministry said that diseases are spreading due to the large presence of garbage, overflowing sewage, insects and lizards in Gaza’s neighborhoods and near the tents sheltering displaced families, in the midst of high temperatures.

The health ministry appealed to all international and UN health and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene to address the dire health situation in Gaza and save the civilians from the spreading diseases.

US officials express concerns that Israel’s use of American arms may violate international law

WASHINGTON, Sunday, April 28, 2024 (WAFA) –

In an internal memo reviewed by Reuters, some senior US officials have cast doubt on Israel's assurances regarding the use of US-supplied weapons in compliance with international humanitarian law.

The memo, a joint submission from four key bureaus within the State Department, highlights "serious concern over non-compliance" with international humanitarian law during Israel's conduct of the Gaza war.

Under a National Security Memorandum issued by President Joe Biden in February, Secretary of State Antony Blinken is mandated to report to Congress by May 8 on the credibility of Israel's assurances regarding the lawful use of US weapons.

By March 24, at least seven State Department bureaus had contributed to an initial "options memo" to Blinken, parts of which were classified.

The submissions paint a complex picture of internal divisions within the State Department regarding Israel's compliance with international law. While some components favored accepting Israel's assurances, others favored rejecting them, and some took no definitive position.

The joint submission from four bureaus outlined concerns over Israel's actions during the aggression on Gaza, stating that Israel's assurances were deemed "neither credible nor reliable."

The memo cited multiple instances of Israeli military attacks raising "serious questions" about potential violations of international humanitarian law, including repeated strikes on protected sites and civilian infrastructure, high levels of civilian casualties disproportionate to military advantage, and attacks on humanitarian workers and journalists.

Furthermore, the memo details instances of Israeli military actions restricting humanitarian aid, including rejecting aid trucks and imposing artificial limitations on inspections.

These revelations come at a critical juncture as Israel plans a military offensive into Rafah, the southern pocket of the Gaza Strip, despite warnings from the international community.

Gaza: Death toll surges to 34,454 martyrs

Sunday 28-April-2024

GAZA, (PIC)

The health ministry in Gaza said on Sunday that the Israeli occupation army committed seven massacres in different areas of the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours, killing at least 66 civilians and injuring over 138 others, while a large number of victims are still under the rubble of bombed buildings or lying on roads.

In a statement, the health ministry said that the Israeli army killed and injured a large number of civilians in different areas of Gaza during the past 24 hours, but only 204 of them, including 66 martyrs, were transported to hospitals.

The health ministry added that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli bombardments and shooting attacks, which started on October 7, climbed to 34,454 martyrs and the number of the wounded surged to 77,575 people.

The Gaza Strip has been under brutal bombardment since a cross-border operation was launched by Hamas’s armed wing, al-Qassam Brigades, on October 7.

Besides the large number of casualties and the huge displacement of people, basic food, fuel, water and medical supplies have run out for the 2.3 million residents in Gaza due to the tight Israeli blockade and the massive destruction of infrastructure and facilities.

Two Gazan children die due to heat: UNRWA

RAMALLAH, Sunday, April 28, 2024 (WAFA) –

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Sunday that it had received reports that at least two children died due to the heat wave in the Gaza Strip.

This came in a statement on the agency's X profile regarding the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza in light of the Israeli attacks.

The agency pointed out that children are paying the highest price and called for an immediate ceasefire.

The statement confirmed that the displaced in Gaza receive only one liter of water per day, which is much less than the daily minimum of 15 liters according to international standards.

The statement stressed that the humanitarian conditions in Gaza are getting worse due to rising temperatures.

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini wondered: “What more to endure: Death, hunger, disease, displacement, now living in greenhouse-like structures under scorching heat?”

Aggression and Attacks by Illegal Israeli Settlers and Soldiers

Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers continue to defile Al-Aqsa Mosque in large numbers

Sunday 28-April-2024

Scores of extremist illegal Israeli Jewish settlers  continued to desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards on Sunday morning on the sixth day of the week-long Passover festival, amid ongoing restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to their Islamic holy site in Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).

The Administration of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem) Awqaf and al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs said that hundreds of settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in different groups in the morning under tight police guard, adding that this number is likely to increase, especially in the afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation police imposed restrictions on the entry of Muslim worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque and expelled many of them from the holy site and the roads leading to it during the settler tours of its courtyards.

Al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed to daily desecration by the illegal Israeli Jewish settlers and police forces in the morning and the afternoon except on Fridays and Saturdays.

Recently, Jewish settler groups announced their intents to organize mass break-ins and preform provocative practices at Al-Aqsa Mosque to mark the Passover event, while Palestinian figures and activists urged Muslim worshipers to intensify their presence at the Mosque at all times to protect it against desecration and Judaization.

Last Thursday, the Israeli occupation apartheid regime police allowed 1,679 illegal settlers to desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards, according to local sources in the holy city.

Illegal Israeli Jewish settlers prevent Palestinian herders from grazing livestock in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, Sunday, April 28, 2024 (WAFA) –

A group of the illegal Israeli Jewish settlers prevented livestock herders today in the northern Jordan Valley region, northeast of the occupied West Bank, from grazing their livestock in the open pastures.

'Aarif Daraghma, a local human rights activist, stated that colonists, protected by an Israeli army force, prevented livestock breeders in the area from grazing their livestock in lands in the area.

Usually at this time of the year, livestock breeders take advantage of the remnants of harvested crops to feed their sheep.

Armed illegal Israeli Jewish settlers and soldiers often prevent Palestinian shepherds from herding in the open pastures of the occupied West Bank in order to force them to abandon the area.
