Israeli Occupation Forces Kill Six Palestinians, Injure 26, in Jenin

Israeli occupation troops launched another massive invasion of the northern West Bank Palestinian city of Jenin, as well as invading the Jenin refugee camp on the outskirts of the city, on Tuesday.

The soldiers killed six Palestinian men, ranging in age from 22 – 49 years old. Those killed by the invading Israeli forces were identified as Mohammad Wael Ghazzawi (26 years) from Jenin camp, Tariq Ziyad Mustafa Natour (27 years) from Jenin, Ziyad Amin Al-Zar’ini (29 years) from Jenin, and Abdel-Fattah Hussein Kharousha (49 years) from the Askar camp in Nablus, Mutasem Nasser Sabbagh (22 years) from the Jenin camp, and Muhammad Ahmed Salim Khallouf (22 years) from the town of Burqin in the Jenin governorate.

In addition, 26 Palestinian civilians were wounded by Israeli forces, who shot live ammunition towards crowds of demonstrators who were throwing stones at the invading soldiers. Three of those wounded had injuries that were described as critical.

According to the Palestinian Wafa News Agency, Israeli forces fired at least one missile toward a building in Jenin refugee camp, and columns of smoke were seen rising from the building. In addition, the Israeli military deployed dozens of snipers on the roofs of commercial and residential buildings in Jenin and Jenin refugee camp, firing at Palestinians on the ground.

This is the third such invasion targeting Palestinians in the northern West Bank in the past three months. On the twenty-second of February, Israeli occupation forces committed a massacre in the city of Nablus, which resulted in the death of 11 Palestinians, including a child and 3 elders, and the injury of more than 102 others.

And on the 26th of January, the Israeli occupation forces committed a massacre in the city of Jenin and the Jenin refugee camp, during which 9 Palestinians were killed, including an elderly woman, and 20 Palestinians were injured.

The Palestinian Liberation Movement, Fatah, issued a statement condemning what they termed another Israeli massacre in Jenin. They stated that this attack only affirms their steadfast commitment to ending the Israeli military occupation of Palestine, and to establishing a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. The statement mourned the deaths of the men killed in Jenin Tuesday, and called for an escalation of resistance against the Israeli occupation, its army and its paramilitary settlers.

The movement stated that this barbaric aggression reflects the bloody approach of the beleaguered occupation government, which seeks, through the shedding of the blood of the Palestinian people, to export its internal crises, stressing that the Israeli occupation and its paramilitary settlers will be held accountable for their continuous crimes against the Palestinian people.

The reference to Israel’s ‘internal crises’ refers to the fact that the current Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is under indictment for corruption, and protesters have called for his resignation.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Child, Injure Two Palestinians, One Seriously, In Qalqilia

On Thursday evening, Israeli soldiers killed a child and injured two Palestinians, including a child who suffered serious wounds, in Azzoun town, east of Qalqilia, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said several Israeli occupation army jeeps invaded the town, leading to protests, and fired many live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed that the soldiers killed Mohammad Nidal Salim, 15, after shooting him with live rounds in the back.

The Health Ministry added that the soldiers shot another child in the chest, causing life-threatening wounds, and moderately injured a young man in the arm.

In a Facebook post, Mohamamd’s uncle, Reyad Saleem, said his nephew was named after his cousin, Mohammad Nizar Saleem, who was also a child when Israeli soldiers killed him on March 14, 2003.

On Wednesday, Israeli soldiers killed Mahmoud Jamal Hasan Hamdan, 22, in the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in Jericho, in the northeastern West Bank.

Earlier on Monday, two Israeli Colonizers were killed in a shooting in Huwwara near Nablus.

On Sunday, a Palestinian civilian was killed by Israeli soldiers while in his home in Za’tara village. Sameh Aqtash, who was murdered by Israeli forces Sunday, was in Turkey two weeks before, volunteering with a rescue team to save lives after the earthquake.

The day before Mohammad’s death, Israeli soldiers killed eleven Palestinians, injured more than 102, six seriously, and caused more than  250 Palestinians to suffer the effects of tear gas inhalation and other minor wounds.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Kill A Palestinian, Injure Two, Abduct Six, In Jericho

Dozens of Israeli occupation soldiers invaded, Wednesday, the Aqabat Jaber refugee camp in Jericho, in the northeastern West Bank, exchanged fire with Palestinian fighters in a surrounded home, killed one, and abducted at least six Palestinians.

The soldiers initially took the Palestinian, who was seriously injured, to an Israeli hospital and later informed the Palestinian General Authority for Civil Affairs that the young man, Mahmoud Jamal Hasan Hamdan, 22, has succumbed to his wounds.

The Israeli army said it invaded the refugee camp to abduct Palestinians who are believed to be behind the Monday shooting attack that led to the death of Elan Ganeles and added that one of them sustained serious wounds while trying to retreat from the area.

Media sources said the soldiers surrounded the home of Maher Shalloon, where Palestinian fighters were hiding, and exchanged fire with them before firing a rocket at it.

The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said the soldiers abducted Abdul-Nasser Mousa Shalloon, 55, Maher Shalloon, 44, Amer Shalloon, 39, Mohammad Shalloon, 47, and his son Saleh, 24, in addition to the seriously injured Palestinian, Mahmoud Jamal Hamdan. All of them are former political prisoners.

The army claimed the abducted Palestinians exchanged fire with the soldiers before they were taken prisoners and their weapons confiscated.

Palestinian medics tried to reach the seriously wounded man to provide essential aid, but the soldiers blocked them before taking him away.

The army initiated the attack by deploying undercover soldiers who surrounded and isolated the home before many army vehicles invaded the refugee camp.

The soldiers also opened fire at a Palestinian car, shattering its windows, before confiscating it, in addition to shooting a young man with a rubber-coated steel bullet to the head during ensuing protests.

It is worth mentioning that Jericho remained under strict siege for the third day while the army installed more roadblocks and placed sand hills on several streets.

Earlier on Monday, two Israeli Colonizers were killed in a shooting in Huwwara near Nablus.

Huwwara mayor: Illegal Israeli settlers inflicted damages worth ILS 18 million”

NABLUS, Wednesday, March 01, 2023 (WAFA) –

The illegal Israeli settler gangs who rampaged through the occupied West Bank town of Huwwara inflicted damages worth ILS 18 million, according to a municipal source.

The town mayor Mu‘in Damidi said that damages wreaked by the hundreds of settlers who attacked the town, south of Nablus, on Sunday, burning down at least 35 houses and partially damaging 40 others and torching or destroying more than 100 cars, were worth ILS 18 million (approx USD $5 million).

At least one Palestinian was killed and nearly 400 wounded in the hours-long rampage on the town as well as in the other attacks on West Bank towns and villages, south of Nablus.

This is not to mention the other losses sustained by the town residents, estimated in hundreds of thousands of shekels, as a result of the ongoing closure of their businesses and stores, Damidi added.

He pointed out that schools were still closed for three days in a row, and the gun-toting soldiers prevented the residents from using the main street.

He made this statement as Israeli forces continued to cordon off the town for the third day in a row, effectively turning it into a closed military zone and forcing its residents to close their businesses.

Palestinian Shot And Killed by Israeli Occupation Troops

In the village of Za’tara, south of Nablus, on Sunday evening, Israeli occupation troops shot and killed Sameh Hamdallah Mahmoud Aqtash (37 years old).

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that Sameh was shot in the abdomen by Israeli troops during an invasion of Za’tara village, in the northern West Bank.

According to local sources, Israeli troops attacked and shot Sameh while he was in his home.

The Israeli troops were accompanied by paramilitary Israeli settler militias, who also attacked Palestinian civilians in the village, and fired dozens of rounds of live fire at the Palestinians and their homes.

Local sources reported that Sameh Aqtash, who was murdered by Israeli forces Sunday, was in Turkey two weeks ago, volunteering with a rescue team to save lives after the earthquake.

Dozens of Palestinians protested the closure of the Huwwara military roadblock before the army attacked them with live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

It is worth mentioning that the paramilitary colonizers have frequently been invading Huwwata, attacking the Palestinians and their homes and shops, and burning cars.

Earlier Sunday, many paramilitary colonizers invaded Yanoun village, south of Nablus, attacked and detained a Palestinian family on their land while Israeli soldiers installed roadblocks and prevented the Palestinians from helping the family.

Also Sunday, Israeli military bulldozers uprooted Palestinian farmlands in Shoufa village, southeast of Tulkarem in the northern West Bank, after the army closed and isolated the entire area.

Israeli Occupation Army Abducts Five Palestinians In Jerusalem, Qalqilia, And Tulkarem

On Monday, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted five Palestinians in the occupied West Bank in Jerusalem, Qalqilia, and Tulkarem.

In Qalqilia, in the northeastern West Bank, the soldiers invaded Anabta town, searched homes, and abducted a former political prisoner, Amro Khaled Fuqaha’.

The soldiers also abducted Hamza Ayman Barham and Naji Mahmoud Ata from Qalqilia while crossing the Huwwara military roadblock south of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

In Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted a young man, Khaled Zeer, from his home.

In Anata town, the soldiers abducted a young man, Wadea’ Abdul-Fattah Abu Jalil, 19, from his home.

Media sources said two Palestinians, Mahmoud Aliwat and Omar Aliwat, who were abducted in a previous invasion, were ordered under further interrogation until Sunday, and Nassim Jaber, until Thursday.

In related news, illegal Israeli colonizers invaded the outskirts of the At-Tira neighborhood in the central West Bank city of Ramallah, leading to protests.

Also Monday, the soldiers abducted four Palestinians, including one child, in the Hebron governorate, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

On Monday, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted four Palestinians, including one child, in the Hebron governorate, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.

Media sources said several army jeeps invaded Sa’ir town, northeast of Hebron, searched homes, and abducted Ahmad Hasan Al-Froukh, 19, and Ubai Bajes Al-Mitwer, 15.

They added that the soldiers invaded Beit Ummar town, north of Hebron, and abducted Wahid Hamdi Abu Mariya, 55, and Mohammad Jamal ‘Aadi, 18, from their homes.

Furthermore, the soldiers installed roadblocks on Hebron’s northern roads and the entrance of Sa’ir, Ath-Thaheriyya, and Halhoul. They stopped and searched dozens of cars and interrogated scores of Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

Israeli Occupation Forces Abduct Seven Palestinians in Pre-Dawn Raids

Israeli occupation forces invaded several parts of the West Bank before dawn on Monday and abducted five Palestinians. The soldiers took them with extreme force and brought them to unknown military locations.

In Nablus, Israeli forces stormed the central city, raided a cafe, and abducted three Palestinians: Raed Shbeita, Waddah Hujeir, and Mahmoud al-Shami, while others were detained and later released.

Local sources added that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Al-Bathan, northeast of Nablus, and raided the homes of the head of the village council, Fares Al-Fares, and his brother Ibrahim, and searched them and tampered with their contents.

In the southern West Bank, Israeli occupation forces invaded Al-Khader and Beit Sahour, and abducted two young men.

Local sources told the Wafa News agency that the Israeli occupation forces abducted Hussein Saleh Abu Aker (33 years old) from the “Wad Abu Freiha” area in the city of Beit Sahour , east of Bethlehem, and Mohammad Essam Issa (21 years) from the town of Al-Khader in the south, after raiding and searching their family homes.

The pre-dawn raids by Israeli troops are a daily occurrence in the West Bank, where Israeli authorities have ruled the Palestinian territory under martial law since 1967.

Israeli occupation soldiers and settlers continued their daily acts of aggression against the Palestinian people and property, injuring one young Palestinian with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the abdomen, causing dozens to suffer from tear gas inhalation in the town of Tuqu’, southeast of Bethlehem, and abducted nine Palestinians from the West Bank.

A civilian was wounded by a rubber-coated metal bullet in the abdomen, and two others suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation during clashes with the occupation forces in Tuqu’ town, southeast of Bethlehem .

Clashes erupted between local Palestinian villagers and invading Israeli occupation forces in the Shuafat refugee camp, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, after the closure of the checkpoint at the village entrance.

In Hebron, Israeli occupation forces abducted three young men: Anas Nasri al-Ju’bah (21 years old) from the Sinjar area in the south, after besieging his family’s house for five hours and confiscating a commercial vehicle belonging to him. The troops also abducted Mohammad Mansour al-Hasanat (22 years old) from al-Fawar camp, and Mazen Jaradat from the eastern town of Sa’ir.

From Ramallah, the Israeli occupation forces abducted four Palestinians: Yaqoub Al-Hajj, Aziz Khattab, and Khalil Abu Safiya, between the ages of 15-16, from Beit Sira in the western part of the city. They also abducted a young man, Mohammad Mukhlis Lafi Kook, from Turmusaya in the northern part of the city, and confiscated his private vehicle.

From Jerusalem district, the Israeli occupation forces abducted the young man, Adam Fahim Abu Kafia, from the northern town of Beit Ijza.

From the Jenin district, the Israeli occupation forces abducted bulldozer driver, Ghassan Qutb, and prevented him from continuing to work on laying a water line in the northern village of Jalboun, and seized the water line.

The Israeli occupation forces also stormed the village of Yatma, south of Nablus, and raided the house of Ismail Ibrahim Najjar, and detained his brother Youssef, while the soldiers fired tear gas canisters at the local Palestinians, without any injuries reported.

The Israeli occupation forces also closed Wadi Qana road near the town of Deir Istiya, northwest of Salfit, and deployed troops throughout the area, causing severe traffic congestion.

In the Bethlehem area, Israeli troops demolished two structures on the land of Ahmed Taqatqa, in the “Umm Said” area located between the town of Beit Fajjar and the village of Marah Mualla, and a sales stall selling awnings in the village of Beit Tamar, east of Bethlehem, belonging to the citizen Fouad Jumaa Jadal, under the pretext of having constructed the stall without a permit.

Also Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Beit Kahil, north of Hebron, and seized a citizen’s vehicle. Security sources told Wafa news agency that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town and seized the vehicle of Awni al-Zuhur.

Many Palestinians Wounded After Israeli Occupation Soldiers Attacked Funeral In Hebron

On Saturday evening, Israeli occupation soldiers attacked a funeral in Beit Ummar town, north of the southern West Bank city of Hebron, wounding several Palestinians.

Local sources said the Palestinian mourners were trying to reach the local cemetery at the entrance of the town, but the soldiers closed the street and started forcing them to leave by firing live rounds, gas bombs, and concussion grenades at them.

The attacks led to protests before the army fired more live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs at the Palestinians and invaded homes before occupying their rooftop.

Medical sources said one Palestinian suffered shrapnel wounds to the leg, and dozens suffered the effects of tear gas inhalation.

The attack against the funeral is part of numerous similar violations by soldiers, especially when the mourners reach the main entrance of the town to head to the local cemetery.

A similar violation was reported in early January when the soldiers attacked the funeral procession of an elderly Palestinian woman in Beit Ummar.

Also Saturday, the soldiers closed the main entrance of the Al-‘Arroub refugee camp, north of Hebron, after closing the Iron Gate, stopped and searched dozens of cars and interrogated scores of Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Eight Palestinians In West Bank

On Friday dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted eight Palestinians and confiscated four cars in several parts of the occupied West Bank.

The Qalandia Media Center said undercover soldiers driving a civilian car ambushed and kidnapped a young man, Mahmoud As’as Shu’ani, from the Qalandia refugee camp north of Jerusalem while working in a gas station.

The undercover soldiers waited for the young man to approach their car to fill its gas tank and immediately jumped at him, kidnapped him after forcing him into their vehicle and sped away.

Furthermore, the army confiscated the car of former political prisoner Mahdi Siyaj after stopping him at the Qalandia Terminal.

Also, the soldiers abducted Ahmad Abu Khadija, a soccer player in Jabal Al-Mokabber town in Jerusalem, confiscated two cars, one owned by a former political prisoner.

The Palestinian athlete was abducted just hours after his club won a soccer tournament in the West Bank.

In addition, the soldiers confiscated a car owned by the mother of a former political prisoner, Abada Nidal Dandees, 27, in the Wad Qaddoum neighborhood in Silwan town, in Jerusalem. Abada was a political prisoner released in 2020 after serving a prison sentence of fifty months.

In Silwad town, northeast of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, the soldiers stormed and ransacked a few homes and abducted three young men, Yousef Hamed, Yanal Haitham Hamed, and Hasan Natour.

In Tubas, in the northeastern West Bank, the soldiers invaded Tammoun town, south of the city, searched homes, and abducted Faeq Ahmad Bani Odah, 27, and Shahin Jalal Bisharat, 26.

In Huwwara town, south of Nablus, the Palestinians sounded alarm sirens after noticing a group of fanatic illegal Israeli colonizers infiltrating it, just days torching hundreds of Palestinian homes and cars, setting most of the village on fire, causing damage estimated at 18 Million Shekels (About $5 Million).

In the northern West Bank, many army vehicles invaded Qalqilia, searched homes, and abducted Abdullah Abdul-Rahman Hammad, 21.

The invasion led to protests before the soldiers fired live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades, resulting in a fire in a shop.

Furthermore, Palestinian fighters exchanged fire with Israeli soldiers on the Mabo Dotan and the Dotan military roadblocks southwest of Jenin, in the northern West Bank, while many army jeeps also invaded Rommana village, west of the city.

It is worth mentioning that, in January of this year, the soldiers abducted 514 Palestinians, including children and siblings, in dozens of invasions across the occupied West Bank, including the occupied capital, Jerusalem.

Israeli Occupation Soldiers Abduct Fifteen Palestinians In West Bank

On Thursday dawn, Israeli occupation soldiers abducted fifteen Palestinians during invasions and violent searches of homes across the occupied West Bank.

In the southern part of the West Bank in Hebron, the soldiers invaded the Um Safa area in Masafer Yatta, south of the city, searched homes, and abducted Nader Ibrahim Awad.

In Bethlehem, south of occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers invaded the Al-Khader and Beit Fajjar towns, south of the city, and searched homes before abducting former political prisoner Hamdallah Khaled Sabah, 27, and Malek Akram Taqatqa.

In the northern part of the West Bank in Jenin city, several army vehicles invaded and searched homes in the Sweitat neighborhood before abducting two young men, Anas Turkman and Saif Turkman.

The soldiers also invaded Jaba’ town, south of Jenin, and searched a few homes before abducting Mohsin Hamamra and Abdul-Rahim Eshteiwi.  The soldiers exchanged fire with Palestinian resistance fighters during the town’s invasion.

Also in Jenin, the soldiers invaded Rommana village, west of the city, before storming and ransacking the home of Kamel Mahmoud Abu Bakr.

In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers abducted Ahmad Tawil and Mos’ab Zahda from their homes in the city, Oweis Al-Ouri from Kafr Aqab north of the city, Sami Abu Ghalia, Husam Far’un, and Luay Rauf from the Al-Ezariyya town, south of the city, in addition to Mousa Zahran and Mohammad Hmeidan from Biddu town, northwest of Jerusalem.

The soldiers also invaded Haris village, west of the central West Bank city of Salfit, and drove into several parts of the village before storming and ransacking the family home of Mohammad Morad Souf, 18, whom Israeli soldiers killed  On November 15, 2022.

On Wednesday night, the soldiers invaded many areas across the occupied West Bank, leading to protests, especially in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Nablus, Jenin, Jericho, and Hebron.
